This 80s Marclay is the guy I remember. The guy with a stack of records with little stickers on them.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Webhamster Henry:

I got the Record Without A Cover at Tower Records, the new music room.
Avatar 3:41pm Martinibomb:

Hi David! ;-)
Avatar 3:42pm david w:

Martinibomb, hi!
Avatar 3:46pm coelacanth∅:

i always (well, since at least ~40 years ago) imagined that if i put out an lp i'd have the last track mostly empty, with just a few accents and occasional moments of a rhythm, so that the record could be scratched intentionally and if done well would have a specific rhythm that the accents and pre-existing rhythm would mesh with.
i guess that must've been done by now.
Avatar 3:47pm Sem:

Listening closely from inside a bear. Ursa guess is as good as mine why this is so.
Greets, David, Ruth, the OAR skunk works, and all.
Avatar 3:48pm david w:

Trickster last tracks are a thing that have tickled me for years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm Webhamster Henry:

@Coelo I have a record that was a demo record, with the B side all blank grooves, so I've scraped them in regular patterns to make a drum truck of sorts. One track plays the rhythm of Steve Reich's "clapping music".
Avatar 3:48pm david w:

Warm and dry, Sem?
Avatar 3:49pm coelacanth∅:

nice, Henry!
Avatar 3:52pm northguineahills:

I have a marclay live performance on cdr from subtonic from around 2005 somewhere...
Avatar 3:53pm northguineahills:

I originally put my Record w/o a cover in a cover, but I soon abandoned the cover. It makes a great dj tool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Webhamster Henry:

I covered Record Without a Cover for the Miniature Minotaur's Taylor Swift Remix show in 2014.
