Geez whiz this demo sure is gorgeous.
  9:23pm jeff-m:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Behold, the Bluminsurrection is at hand!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm Andrew Waterloo:

Stereolab was amazing in Toronto.. didn't brave the merch line-up for that laundry bag though
Avatar 9:28pm Franco Twinkie:

TDK, The appetizers was a sticky wad of backyard weed.
  9:29pm flash gordon:

is it inspector clouseau in the background?
Avatar 9:29pm TDK60:

My sad story: I saw Stereolab once (2000?) for about 5 min.! Our driver to the concert picked us up real late, so we heard their last two songs. Waaaaah.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30pm Andrew Waterloo:

My friend tells a similar story where Stereolab opened for the Fall and the group he went with pre-drank through the opener.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33pm Daniel Blumin:

  9:36pm mr d derbridge:

I did the Stereolab & The Fall show in the early 90's Operahouse Toronto
Avatar 9:39pm Franco Twinkie:

Attention Stereolab Appreciation Society: Victoria Legrand has a sit down chit-chat with Laetitia Sadier in the past/current issue of The Believer.
  9:39pm ian:

didn't follow stereolab...but was fascinated that gane contributed to the great broken flag release...Toll...Christ Knows from 1986...thanks

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm Daniel Blumin:

Baja! Welcome onboard!
Avatar 10:24pm TDK60:

I recall the first time I heard Stereolab. Sitting at a friend's apt, in 1996 or '97. It hit me after several tunes and a few puffs.
Avatar 10:26pm Franco Twinkie:

I saw SPK and Chris and Cosey together at The I-Beam in San Francisco. SPK ground up large pieces of metal and had nude dancers that looked like pinheads. Chris and Cosey were somewhat subdued by comparison, they just showed a movie of an autopsy while they laid down a mellow groove.
Avatar 10:27pm northguineahills:

The first time I saw stereolab was in Atlanta in '96, and they played a nearly 3 houe encore, including a 45 minute version of "Metronomic Underground".
  10:28pm seth from muddy creek:

Best stuff right here
  10:28pm JakeGould:

Good taste this guy has! Has he mentioned 4AD at all? He seems to be someone who was into — still is into — 4AD artists.
Avatar 10:32pm TDK60:

Cobra Phases was one of my top albums of '99!
Avatar 10:36pm Jesse Dorris:

C&P felt kind of muddy at the time, or maybe it was just the artwork, but it's aged spectacularly well.
Avatar 10:38pm Jesse Dorris:

Also just as well Tim didn't get a job at Industrial Records; Gen might have tried to murder him with a concrete block as attempted on Cosey. Allegedly, I guess, and so fucking awful.
  10:39pm scobot:

Any chance you could play some early Durutti Column?
  10:42pm imaad:

stereolab fan from sri lanka here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43pm Heavy Chevy:

Mars Audiac was my first stereolab and still my fave stereolab. but it's all great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44pm chresti:

So what if songs sound the same if they're good songs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm Daniel Blumin:

imaad, that's fantastic!!! Welcome! Hallo, Heavy!
Avatar 10:48pm Hubig Pie:

so , I take from this interview that Peng will not be re-issued and available as a download
Avatar 10:49pm northguineahills:
