With billows and blasts from choirs and orchesters
Buskers and talkers
Big bands and squawkers,
the Stork Club has retained its qualities of decaying elegance and dwindling significance since the late 1950s.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm doctorjazz:

Finally got out on the bike, water break at the moment and plugged in/checking in.
Doesn't seem a day past 5775, have to say.
Avatar 12:58pm Linda Lee:

check out that sweet cello! good afternoon!
Avatar 12:59pm Linda Lee:

that's Allen! Allen Ginsberg!
Avatar 12:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Gotta dig the range & texture of whatcher spinnin' DJ Strork.
Avatar 12:59pm Linda Lee:

it's too long between Allen's songs on air.
  1:00pm melinda:

@Rabbit I agree
Avatar 1:00pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Try & imagine us without Ginsberg.
Avatar 1:01pm Linda Lee:

can't really. he was in my life before i knew his name & i think that's true for many of us.
Avatar 1:02pm Linda Lee:

a way of seeing that translated into the music we heard..
Avatar 1:02pm Linda Lee:

through the Beats to Dylan & through Dylan to the Beatles.. how funny!
Avatar 1:03pm Linda Lee:

that's Jeanne Moreau! from Jules & Jim!
Avatar 1:04pm Linda Lee:

i'm all over your playlist today, Mr.Stork! :-D
Avatar 1:11pm Linda Lee:

George my eye! :-) youtu.be...
  1:16pm melinda:

@Linda I’m listening at work and was waiting to hear if I’d have to turn down the volume on Allen, I have a 3 disc box set and lots of the songs have explicit sex references. That might limit play on radio but no such restrictions on alternate streams!
Avatar 1:17pm Linda Lee:

3 discs! good for you! Allen was marvelous. today's selection was little more on the cerebral side.. ;-)
  1:19pm melinda:

It was, I liked it.
Avatar 1:21pm Linda Lee:

me too. a late one for sure.. when, possibly, his attention was turned from the flesh a little.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

what, i missed an appearance by Uncle Allen?!? Hello, all!
Avatar 1:27pm Linda Lee:

hey there Granny! :-) yes. beautiful selection. check it later on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

Hey there, Linda Lee! Howdy, Stork and all ye gentle clubbers. Happy Folsom Day! hee hee
Avatar 1:31pm Linda Lee:

Folsom Day?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm doctorjazz:

Alright, break before the big hill. That Cooke was him singing to the Lord, sounded like (though you could interpret it as a love song). And Dirty Dozen are a joy to great. Ok, on to the hill!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm doctorjazz:

(Joy to hear, that is...)
  1:44pm melinda:

It would be a drag to be known only for Patches, yes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48pm fred:

Hello Stork and all
Avatar 2:21pm northguineahills:

here for the sounds and maybe a chin wag.
  2:22pm melinda:

Hi ngh, I come for the chin wag too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm Doug Schulkind:

A program featuring music from ALL MUSICALS is joining the Drummer Stream in less than two weeks.

Stork, I can run downstairs and find my vinyl of Pacific Overtures.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm doctorjazz:

I think the person who helped Baker got him false teeth, if I remember correctly. But,of course, you need to adjust to them, and, trumpet requires such strength, and chops, it is not surprising he had a tough time after a lay off
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm Doug Schulkind:

Looks like Isao Sato sang "A Bowler Hat."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm Doug Schulkind:

That's according to Wikipedia, not my world-class-athlete stairs-hopping legs.
Avatar 2:27pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hey! Listening while schmuttzing on faceborg.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm fred:

Doug, that program will be much appreciated by some listeners (is Bronwyn doing it?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

Linda Lee: if you're still peeking in— It's Folsom Street Fair day in SF, the biggest street fair of the year!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33pm Doug Schulkind:

You are a good sound detective, Sir! The official announcement is coming soon.
Avatar 2:37pm northguineahills:

Ok, how did I miss this Herbie album?
Avatar 2:46pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yay Caravan.
