This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

Avatar 7:22pm Flash Strap:

@REv: that's what I love about doing Library shows, I can't get over how good the juxtapositions are, even when i go in chronological order, and how wide the range is
Avatar 7:25pm Flash Strap:

Happy cooking Chresti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm chresti:

@fleep any luck with cbd oil? We've been trying that, the last few days

Avatar 8:06pm Franco Twinkie:

Dr. Strap, Can you tell me your opinion of a roast beef sandwich as a form of pain management?
Avatar 8:07pm Little Danny:

Yeah the drums out front with those string drones. Seems quite unusual for what it was (i.e., library music)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm chresti:

Thanks fleep@7:42
Avatar 8:08pm Flash Strap:

Hi Franco! Seems insufficient, but let me know if it works, I've got a fucked up shoulder at the moment
Avatar 8:09pm Flash Strap:

@LD: that particular piece reminded me a bit of some Umiliani compositions with a similar arrangement
Avatar 8:10pm TDK60:

I'm here, library roomies.
Avatar 8:10pm Flash Strap:

Avatar 8:10pm northguineahills:

Now I want a bellini….
Avatar 8:11pm Little Danny:

Yeah, I agree! Like some of his weirder Omicron moments
Avatar 8:11pm Flash Strap:

This Inferno is at times a little too progged-out for my particular sensibilities, but it just had to be played
Avatar 8:11pm Flash Strap:

@LD: totally
Avatar 8:12pm hyde:

always with the whistling
Avatar 8:13pm Flash Strap:

it's his love-whistle
Avatar 8:16pm Franco Twinkie:

I'm on it, doc! I seem to coming on to a strange delirium and lifting of my sour mood. Now, I know you're not supposed to mix meds, but I think I'll supercharge my rush with a little sushi.
Avatar 8:20pm TDK60:

Franco, glad your sourness fades, at least.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm doctorjazz:

Me, I find good pastrami (not that easy to find) cures what ails me...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm chresti:

Yay Hairshirts!!
Avatar 8:23pm TDK60:

Franco, if food be medicine, what about a sardine sandwich?
Avatar 8:26pm Franco Twinkie:

Doc, I go to this place called The Hat when I'm jonesing for pastrami. Stays open till 1am, so it's got late night snack vampires falling out all over the parking lot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm fleep:

Whistles almost like a theremin
Avatar 8:26pm Flash Strap:

Next track title translates to "whistling obsession"
Avatar 8:27pm Franco Twinkie:

TDK, Sardines on a fresh corn tortilla with purple onions and hot mustard.
Avatar 8:28pm Flash Strap:

really does Fleep, esp. here
Avatar 8:30pm Flash Strap:

not Pedersen's best outing by a really long shot but this is a charmer I think
Avatar 8:31pm Flash Strap:

we've previously heard fair amount of Guy on the Tele Music episodes
Avatar 8:32pm Little Danny:

(Unrelated but as always massive kudos for wrangling the Library album covers into mosaics compelling to both my OCD and my font appreciation.)
Avatar 8:34pm Flash Strap:

I really understand what you mean, LD, and I'm glad you can dig it! I was actually getting really annoyed that these weren't so interesting, which is why I included a few of their MP2000 alternates as well
Avatar 8:35pm Franco Twinkie:

This Cecil Wary has a situational feeling as if the experimental serum is about to be absconded with.
Avatar 8:36pm Flash Strap:

I do like the font on the generic covers though
Avatar 8:37pm Flash Strap:

@Franco: totally, we're definitely in the middle of some high-level international intrigue there
Avatar 8:38pm Franco Twinkie:

From a show you never saw called The Eisenberg Factor.
Avatar 8:38pm TDK60:

Franco, eons ago I lived in a house with 5 or 6. all jobless, broke; one there had food stamps. We lived on pancakes topped with peanut & jelly two times a day, for about two months. I never tired of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm chresti:

A love puppy whistle
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm doctorjazz:

In New Jersey, Central, so far the only good pastrami I've found is at Lox, Stock, And Deli. Lots of pretenders, but generally too greasy (Some North Jersey places still haven't gotten to). (Larry of Testify! Is also a fan,if I remember correctly).
Avatar 8:39pm Flash Strap:

love the weird little animal cries on this, completely bizarre vocalization
Avatar 8:40pm Flash Strap:

one of the best Circus library LPs here, and that's just the way it's got to be. strap in, grab some peanuts
Avatar 8:41pm Flash Strap:

"Gli Orsi" = "The Bears"
Avatar 8:41pm Franco Twinkie:

Pastrami is a touchy subject. People around here go nuts for this place called Langers that to me is not worth the trouble, but hey...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46pm Doug Schulkind:

Grottesco fantastico!
Avatar 8:47pm Flash Strap:

Spot on, Doug!
Avatar 8:49pm Flash Strap:

such a great arrangement on Karate, classic Camille Sauvage sound
Avatar 8:50pm Franco Twinkie:

TDK, An old acquaintance of Chresti and myself once subsisted on a gigantic pile of left over marshmallow Easter chicks. He told me he would eat them according to color until they were all gone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm doctorjazz:

Too much food talk...i read this artist as Camille Sausage.
Avatar 8:50pm TDK60:

Circus music shall play in the halls of govt. I decree.
Avatar 8:50pm Flash Strap:

that is rough, Franco
Avatar 8:51pm Flash Strap:

This one is a masterpiece, I tell you. Le Foche = The Seals
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm chresti:

Haha docjazz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm Doug Schulkind:

I'm hearing Moondog on percussion here.
Avatar 8:54pm Flash Strap:

I totally hear that Doug
Avatar 8:55pm TDK60:

yeah Doug. I dig Moondog.
Avatar 8:59pm Flash Strap:

Bubble Gum Baby. what a title
Avatar 9:01pm Flash Strap:

god i love this dumb song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:02pm Doug Schulkind:

God loves it, too, Flash.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:02pm doctorjazz:

Filastrocca was cool!
Avatar 9:14pm Flash Strap:

This album is really strong imo. MP2000 cover is dynamite as well
Avatar 9:15pm TDK60:

digging the jazzrock feel. fun huh.
Avatar 9:15pm quinn:

Ehm this is so good what with this repetitive guitar(?) beat
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:16pm doctorjazz:

Ok, time to hit the road, thanks, Evan!
Avatar 9:17pm Flash Strap:

safe travels Doctor!
Avatar 9:17pm Flash Strap:

I agree, Quinn! very weird arrangement
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18pm passiflora:

l'isola so perfect and dreamy
Avatar 9:19pm Flash Strap:

Sauvage always has really thrilling clarinets and oboes
Avatar 9:19pm Little Danny:

Flash, is there some odd distortion on this track?
Avatar 9:19pm Little Danny:

It could be entirely at my end, too
Avatar 9:20pm northguineahills:

Imma gonna jump in a bit, thanks, Evan!
  9:20pm from Quebec:

nice show! will be going back to the archives for this one. Btw, "braccio de ferro" is (also) Popeye. Better match with Sailor's Delight maybe?
Avatar 9:22pm Flash Strap:

@LD: no, it's a really messed-up sounding rip but it's the only thing that seems to exist
Avatar 9:22pm TDK60:

..even some of my Prog Pals would dig this, they in their purple robes and swashbuckler boots.
Avatar 9:23pm Flash Strap:

@Quebec: that makes sense! i didn't know that, thank you
Avatar 9:25pm Flash Strap:

lotta these guys actually did dabble in the Italian prog scene, TDK
Avatar 9:25pm Flash Strap:

and plenty of Italian & French prog was released on library labels
Avatar 9:27pm Flash Strap:

this is one of the best library albums ever, imo
Avatar 9:27pm Little Danny:

Whoa, gorgeous vibes track. Such ringing clarity, this recording
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28pm passiflora:

Avatar 9:28pm Flash Strap:

@LD: big time agree
Avatar 9:30pm Flash Strap:

everything on this album is incredible. one of those releases where you can tell they really wanted to make something special and unique, and everything went sort of perfectly

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38pm passiflora:

Haha, tetris here
Avatar 9:38pm Flash Strap:

what's SMB2?
Avatar 9:39pm Flash Strap:

again, a rather bizarrely bad rip of Eric Framond but it's all I've ever been able to scrounge up
Avatar 9:39pm geezerette:

Evan, this has been glorious.
Can't leave without saying thanks, always!

Bye, all you beautiful people.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39pm Doug Schulkind:

This has the peculiar property of being rather simple and yet incredibly dense. Hard to pull that off.
Avatar 9:40pm burke:

@quinn I always opt to play as Princess on that game.
Avatar 9:40pm Flash Strap:

oh of course SMB = Super Mario Bros, yeah that's great music! legendary

Avatar 9:49pm Franco Twinkie:
