a little paisley underground action for this lovely afternoon
Avatar 2:10pm coelacanth∅:

a worthy version, despite the perfection of the original
Avatar 2:10pm Martinibomb:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Oh this Damned cover. I remember it being a pretty big alt radio hit for them back then.
Avatar 2:12pm Franco Twinkie:

Speaking of covers, When The Three O'Clock was The Salvation Army their album had a great cover....Never mind.
Avatar 2:12pm Ursula1000:

Dare I say.....I like this better than the Love original---there, I said it!
Avatar 2:12pm coelacanth∅:

and this is good too! (*despite the perfection of the original*)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:13pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

I am a very very big Damned fan but I also "Love" the original.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm Jan Turkenburg:

I love both versions in their own right :-)
Avatar 2:14pm Franco Twinkie:

I can tell it's going to hard for me to get any work done outside for awhile.
Avatar 2:15pm Ursula1000:

you're in Sheena's grasp!
Avatar 2:16pm Franco Twinkie:

Damn it to hell.
Avatar 2:17pm Ursula1000:

Avatar 2:17pm Franco Twinkie:

Maybe I'll work on the kitchen instead,
Avatar 2:17pm Martinibomb:

Avatar 2:20pm Franco Twinkie:

Avatar 2:25pm Martinibomb:

Interesting song to cover from PWEI
Avatar 2:25pm Ursula1000:

I think the drum machine said "I got this"
Avatar 2:25pm Ursula1000:

Avatar 2:28pm Martinibomb:

Avatar 2:31pm Ursula1000:

Avatar 2:31pm Martinibomb:

Damn this is a cool cover. Never heard of Kenickie?? More gary numan at the time than numan was.
Avatar 2:32pm Ursula1000:

Kenickie were live wave 2 of the Britpop thing--around Elastica time---some killer tracks! Their At The Club debut album is awesome.
Avatar 2:34pm Martinibomb:

def going to give them a listen now
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Ooooo, I love this Japan cover! It's such a wonderful interpretation.
Avatar 2:35pm coelacanth∅:

i like the version of cherry cherry, especially since it's one of the many ND compositions that i like, without really liking his execution of.
(coincidentally i came inside specifically to use the web to identify a cherry tree)
...i also like the band name. fizzbombs!
Avatar 2:36pm Ursula1000:

ahh Japan....can listen to them all day---which I often do!
Avatar 2:37pm Ursula1000:

Fizzbombs were cool---around the time of Talulah Gosh, Shop Assistants---noisy guitar pop inna Jesus and Mary Chain vibe
Avatar 2:40pm coelacanth∅:

found a picture of them online
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Cristina was cool. I also love her cover of Is That All There Is.
Avatar 2:42pm Ursula1000:

She's amazing. I had the pleasure to work w her on one of my songs called Urgent/Anxious off my Here Comes Tomorrow album.
Avatar 2:42pm Martinibomb:

No Flying Lizards? I dare anyone to challenge that band to a cover-off u would loose :-D
Avatar 2:43pm Ursula1000:

I know right? Sadly I couldn't squeeze them in. Perhaps in Volume 2!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm Jan Turkenburg:
