Jacksonville is breezy from the hurricane offshore. Super high surf and sunny.
Avatar 3:22pm Third World Man:

Jacksonville is the 8th largest city in the USA. Just found that out.

Howdy howdy. And howdy
Avatar 3:36pm northguineahills:

Jacksonville is also the largest city by land mass outside of Anchorage, AK, in the US.... (it has it's beautiful parts, but for a city so large, it's boring AF [grew up there]). Many kudos to the handful of peeps in J-ville trying to make things interesting....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Someone should write a storybook about Olivia Ravioli. Similar to the Johnny Appleseed tale, she rambles throughout the land spreading pasta morsels to hungry villagers.
  3:41pm yippie:

I always thought Johnny appleseed wanted people to get drunk on alcoholic apple cider
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm RomanDogBird:

whenever i think of johnny appleseed all i see is this: www.teenageneighbor.com...

pretty much bit.ly... ... good afternoon Olivia ,, great stuff !<>!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm chresti:

Like the haunting Hawaiian
Avatar 4:30pm northguineahills:

@TWM: I don't remember any college stations doing anything interesting up there. My parents still live in Orange Park, and I gave up looking for ones years ago. Even my friends in J-ville w/ good music tastes haven't recommend any to me. I'll be up there in 5-6 weeks, so if you want to plug, plug away!

(although the dj of the alt-rock station did a John Cage [when he died]tribute when I was 15, but by the time I was in uni, it had been bought by Clear Channel).

@chresti lol, I was trying to take a power nap and thought how wonderful it was to doze to this show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:19pm dale:

we need more ham radio conversations on this station. and it's much better when you don't hit the sideband switch or b.f.o.

let's all get our technicians class license and start our own 80 meter chat room.
Avatar 5:29pm Third World Man:

HF is dead right now. Low sunspots.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm dale:

morse code is not required anymore third world man so i decline to learn it. even if it does save us from the alien invaders in independence day.
Avatar 5:30pm Third World Man:

Solar radation is at a all time low since it was being recorded. you don't need to learn CW to transmit CW. Computers now do that for you.
Avatar 5:31pm Third World Man:

CW also save the universe in Interstellar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm dale:

that's cheating.
  5:32pm John from Florham park:

@dale do you listen to ham radio?
Avatar 5:32pm Third World Man:

how so. Lousy conditions. Sometimes CW is the only way to get thu
Avatar 5:32pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Sunspot Minimum.
Since the Sun correlates to Authority (as in regal Ruler of Leo ferinstance)
the lack of Change in its' face perhaps correlates to a lack of impetus or (?) momentum to change Leaders...
Avatar 5:33pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...but it's slowly coming out of it ?
Avatar 5:33pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Sunspot Cycle ~ 11 years...
Avatar 5:34pm Third World Man:

weve been at less than 10 sunspots since 2014
Avatar 5:35pm Third World Man:

they say we could be having a mini ice age.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:35pm dale:

john from f.p. - i used to listen to ham nets on occasion. i mainly just dx a bit to shortwave. a couple of shows on wbcq i have to listen to, behavior night and marion's attic.
  5:36pm John from Florham park:

@dale ever listen to brother stair?now he is a hoot
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm dale:

he is EVERYWHERE. actually micah played some music form his compound on music of mind control a while back.
Avatar 5:38pm Third World Man:

I put brother stair in my mixes
  5:39pm John from Florham park:

@dale no kidding or as some people call him brother scare
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm dale:

wbcq built a massive antenna array and it was funded by a flat earth religious group. the town of monticello maine rebuilt their grid to accomodate it but a lot of the equipment they used to build it was bought from companies that went out of business and i think it's not operational yet other than tests.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm dale:

third world - YES!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm steveo:

Lovely set, wonderful selections, sublime mixing
  5:42pm John from Florham park:

@dale heard about it from WBCQ that they did that which means Alan wiener is something of a money whore
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm chresti:

Thanks Olivia (I did kind of sleep a little @Phillippe B)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm dale:

a few years ago alan got all religious and republican and homophobic. his former partner in crime j.p. ferraro from whvw in hyde park is a man of science thank god. short wave saturday night is one of the better shows on there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm dale:

"man of science thank god" - whoopsie.
  5:48pm John from Florham park:

@dale will check it out thanks
Avatar 5:50pm Third World Man:

I am sure brother stair wouldn't mind?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm chresti:

Avatar 5:52pm Third World Man:

I have to run a long ass cable from my shortwave radio to my mixing station to do it proper witth all the shortwave noises. patching it from the feeds on the internet seems like cheating.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm chresti:

track 11 has some toy/kalimba sounds
Avatar 5:53pm Third World Man:
