With billows and blasts from choirs and orchesters
Buskers and talkers
Big bands and squawkers,
the Stork Club has retained its qualities of decaying elegance and dwindling significance since the late 1950s.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm Doug Schulkind:

We've had our share of sonic dropouts. Oh what a minute, that's our audience!

I kid!
Avatar 12:36pm Martinibomb:

Good to know! @Doug by the way I was planning to email all the digital DJs. See if we can all connect more/help each other out. Like if DJs from give the drummer stream wanted to fill in on Sheenas or something?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Doug Schulkind:

Interesting thought. Email me.
  12:39pm Dean:

The Shirley Scott track reignited my effort to identify the African American woman who played organ for Big Jay McNeely when he had a regular gig at the Rim Ram in Santa Fe Springs in the early '80s. I think I figured it out. She was Jennell Hawkins.
  12:41pm melinda:

1:06pm Jeff g. (now folding laundry):

Avatar 2:42pm Sem:

May I just say that this show is interferring, in an entirely delicious way, with my afternoon of cooking?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm Uncle Michael:

Stork, some sort of distortion was introduced with the Calexico that's persisted through, since. It's affecting the mic break.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm Doug Schulkind:

@Uncle Michael
I think it's the background chatter of Stork's live audience.
Avatar 2:50pm coelacanth∅:

actually i think much of the show has been overdriven. very distorted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

So kewl hear Tyner's style on Gittar.
Avatar 2:51pm coelacanth∅:

i noticed it during Alan Watts then much more so for Michael Christian and now this.
(i took a shower in-between)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Doug Schulkind:

As always, some kinks to work out. Nevertheless, I know how much you love kinky radio.

...' Overmodulation is the condition that prevails in telecommunication when the instantaneous level of the modulating signal exceeds the value necessary to produce 100% modulation of the carrier. In the sense of this definition, it is almost always considered a fault condition. In layman's terms, the signal is going "off the scale". Overmodulation results in spurious emissions by the modulated carrier, and distortion of the recovered modulating signal. This means that the envelope of the output waveform is distorted.
Although overmodulation is sometimes considered permissible, it should not occur in practice; a distorted waveform envelope will result in a distorted output signal of the receiving medium '...
Could also mean too many mirrors on your Vespa I reckon...
Only somewhat related to OverCommenting...
