Hi All. Mayuko will back next week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Rich in Washington:

Howdy doo, everybody!
Avatar 12:04pm jeff-m:

Hey Doug. Sorry to change moods so drastically! That African stuff prior was so happy :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm chresti:

Mugabe just passed, maybe that's why it was happy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm Dropof Goldensun:

Hey there Jeff M and listeners!
Avatar 12:10pm Franco Twinkie:

Howdy Mr. Jeff. I am ready for your Saturday Syrup Serenade.
Avatar 12:11pm fred:

It's so nice to year your show again!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm chresti:

Avatar 12:16pm jeff-m:

Yeah. I Heard Magube is no more.
Avatar 12:18pm jeff-m:

hi Fred , Franco, Rich and Dropof. Thanks for listening for a bit. Do a mostly unplanned show- which are the most fun anyway - so be a bit random. That's good anyway, Right ?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm chresti:

Right, good!
Avatar 12:21pm fred:

@chresti: Mugabe had been nothing much for a couple of years anyway. With his background, I don't exactly trust Mnangagwa to be much better. I'd be happy to be proven wrong
Avatar 12:22pm fred:

@jeff-m: sounds great to me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm chresti:

that's kind of how we roll around here@jeff-m
Avatar 12:25pm Martinibomb:

Diggin' it
Avatar 12:32pm fred:

I guess that's Western Front in Vancouver?
Avatar 12:33pm jeff-m:

I know it's in Canada is all, Fred. Probably
Avatar 12:37pm fred:

All I know about Western Front is that I have a Nihilist Spasm Band CD recorded there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

Avatar 1:15pm jeff-m:

good morning to you, rw
Avatar 1:17pm jeff-m:

Martinibomb- I errored there... Should be D major/ into A Major / then up to the G Major later on. Ha, in case anyone is keeping score at home :) Mic Nervousness during an instant memory recall moment!
Avatar 1:18pm jeff-m:

in case it wasn't sarcarsm
Avatar 1:18pm fred:

Choice Godspeed cut right there!
  1:24pm Ike:

Sounds great!
Avatar 1:27pm fred:

Fun personal series for me: I was looking for Juliana Hatfield records and was intrigued by the cover of that GYBE record ('g' not far from 'h'). I bought it and loved it so I went to a show, got a flier there for a show at Instants Chavirés. I didn't go right away to that venue but eventually did (Charlemagne Palestine, who I didn't know back then). By now I'm there for every show unless I'm at a previously booked dance one (or as Yogi Berra might have said: if I'm not there, it's because I'm somewhere else). That random record pick changed my life
Avatar 1:28pm jeff-m:

afternnon ike
Avatar 1:32pm jeff-m:

random recs are great like that. I ended up buying a few of their records since my friend and I would drive down tot he shore and fish and it would take about 45 mins or so and he would always play them. Good stuff
Avatar 1:33pm jeff-m:

if this song wasnt on CD id think it was wrong speed...
Avatar 1:34pm fred:

And that venue is where I first heard Nadja. Didn't know anything about them, but I trust the venue blindly
Avatar 1:35pm coelacanth∅:

i have to leave early unfortunately but i'll visit the archive for sure
Thanks Jeff always good to hear you again
Avatar 1:35pm jeff-m:

cya fish man
Avatar 1:38pm fred:

I think the first time I saw Nadja was on that tour in 2009
Avatar 1:46pm jeff-m:

couldn't help myself. Ambient drone stuff just comes calling
Avatar 1:47pm jeff-m:

i saw them once sometime around then in Boston. I like Aidan Baker's music a lot. NIce and dark
Avatar 1:48pm fred:

@feff-m: What's your favorite ice cream flavor? (You are filling-in for Mayuko, so that's a relevant question)
Avatar 1:50pm jeff-m:

I love simple vanilla after dinner. If I'm gonna get a cone at some ice cream shop I always go for Peanut Butter and Chocolate if they have it.
Avatar 1:56pm fred:

Thanks Jeff, be back soon!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm chresti:

Thanks Jeff
