This show is dedicated to the legacy and memory of the late great Denver DJ and former DMC champion DJ B*Money whose funeral was earlier today. Widely beloved here in the Mile High City that the 35 year old longtime Denver DJ was an integral part of the city’s close knit music community and as such a close friend of such folks as Casey Karns, DJ Taktek (who will be doing a special tribute show to B*Money this weekend) and Kalyn Heffernan with whom he DJ’ed for some years ago. I first met B*Money nine years ago at this time of year in NYC where he was repping Denver by competing in the 2010 US DMC Finals and I was one of the judges. The image of the DJ on the top of this playlist is from that DMC battle when he 26 years of age and had already been DJing for ten years.
