greetings Marty & invisible others
  9:08pm Carmichael:

Beautiful, man. Let’s harmonize the night away. Cool Jerk would go well here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hey there, Marty and friends. I think the first I heard of the Trammps was "Disco Inferno."
  9:11pm Carmichael:

Oh yeah. There’s a guy down the street who runs a bbq, his name is D’Miller. Pictures are everywhere showing a doo wop group called The D’Millers. Someday I will ask him about it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15pm chresti:

Hello Marty and party-ers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm chresti:

Cool @Carmichael
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25pm Jinx:

clean looking copy of the Dead Boys LP.
  9:31pm Carmichael:

@chresti, if you can scour up anything on the inter webs, let me know. I’ve tried to secretly find out, with no luck. I don’t want to embarrass the guy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37pm chresti:

@Carmichael it's on Yelp, should I call them?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38pm TomDash:

Hey Marty - wrapping up at the shop and digging this set!
  9:44pm Carmichael:

The bbq place? You’re bold.

Not yet. Let me go there tomorrow. He’s a bit gruff. He may tell you to f*ck off.
  9:52pm Carmichael:

Thanks though, chresti. I promise to report.
Avatar 9:54pm TDK60:

Alert the press - I'm just back from a camping week, away from internet, news, etc. TDK is back..
Avatar 9:56pm coelacanth∅:

what?? i've been listening to tdks all week in my car -or so i thought!
  9:57pm Carmichael:

@coel, 60s or 90s? :)
Avatar 9:58pm coelacanth∅:

oh, yeah 90s. maybe they're legit.
  9:59pm Carmichael:

This is more Kraftwerk than Kraftwerk.
Avatar 10:05pm coelacanth∅:

Marty want a beer?!
Avatar 10:10pm coelacanth∅:

...well maybe i'll have one in your stead, since i've decided to not go to the pub for a month or 2.
anyone else?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm chresti:

I worked at Hollywood Park in the 80s
Avatar 10:11pm Franco Twinkie:

Marty, This weeks cover of the New Yorker features an illustration of a dog that looks like snake enjoying a popsicle.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12pm chresti:

TDK60 is back.
Avatar 10:13pm TDK60:

I don't drink, but wanna puff of my green tea leaves?
  10:16pm Carmichael:

My next band will be called Snakesickle.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm listener 126464:

had to close the windows
Avatar 10:17pm coelacanth∅:

i'd have to choose between the 2 then, as it's long been my policy to not mix different mind-altering substances. i'm thirsty, which is a poor reason to drink alcohol.
Avatar 10:18pm coelacanth∅:

...and for the record i could be happy taking a few months off the grid, away from the crazy.
Avatar 10:18pm Franco Twinkie:

TDK, where did you camp?
  10:22pm Carmichael:

I would love to just walk away.
Avatar 10:22pm TDK60:

Hi Franco, I went way up in mountains of West Virginia.
Avatar 10:24pm Franco Twinkie:

Carmichael, me too, But it just isn't an option right now.
Avatar 10:27pm Franco Twinkie:

Tdk I have camped in West Virginia, but it was the middle of winter. Marginally enjoyable, since I was with and ex-girlfriend, we were not getting along and it was real cold.
  10:27pm Carmichael:

Yeah Franco, my dependents wouldn’t like it.
Avatar 10:28pm Franco Twinkie:

Avatar 10:30pm Franco Twinkie:

That Tom Scott record is not easy to find.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30pm listener 126464:

  10:31pm dug:

i once camped on mt washington in NH labor day weekend.
cold as hell. like 30F. my isobutane stove wouldnt even work until i warmed the canister in my sleeping bag.
bad time. beginning of the end for me and my ex
Avatar 10:32pm Hubig Pie:

I think suavecito means he's smoothie-smooth
Avatar 10:32pm Franco Twinkie:

No kidding, Dug! Last time I ever tried that stupid stunt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm Jinx:

always thought All Day Music by War was the sister song to Suavecito.
Avatar 10:35pm coelacanth∅:

definitely siblings
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37pm chresti:

I love live it up songs
Avatar 10:38pm Hubig Pie:

Is that a $1.50 price tag on the cover?
  10:39pm Carmichael:

So what I’m hearing is don’t camp with your future ex. Or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm chresti:

What I hear is avoid camping when it's below 30
Avatar 10:43pm Franco Twinkie:

Well, I got to remembering, It was NOT the last time I did something so foolish. I was involved in other ill advised camping trips. One that we could have died.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm chresti:

40 to 60s perfect
Avatar 10:47pm Franco Twinkie:

Chresti and I met on a camping trip. That was the best one.
Avatar 10:47pm TDK60:

hot rekkid this. // camping can be hard or go wrong, but I was ok this time.. yeh, cold at night; this morn crows woke me before my expected time, ha.
Avatar 10:56pm coelacanth∅:

best camping "trip" i've had was living in a tent for an indefinite period of time, which turned out to be 4.5 months.
it's easy to forget about crap you don't really need. i had a car, sleeping provisions, cast-iron skillet, 120 cassettes, a few books that i exchanged for other books, a bicycle, a djembe, a kalimba.
a part-time job.

i slept at night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09pm Jinx:

love Show Me Love.
  11:23pm sufferwords:

Avatar 11:50pm Franco Twinkie:

Sue Tissue was such an intriguing little weirdo.
Avatar 11:53pm Franco Twinkie:

Watch the beverages Marty, and have a relaxing Labor Day.
  11:55pm Mike Wolf:

Fun piece on Su Tissue from the brief period when MTV News was publishing interesting stuff on its website:
Avatar 11:57pm Franco Twinkie:

Oh yeah, I forgot. She was the unhappy wife with a party hat on? Good non-acting.
Avatar 11:58pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Marty! have a great week. stay hydrated.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59pm Jinx:

take care, Marty. thx! g'night all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59pm Alex of Chicago:
