Just trying to find a soup receipe involving the plethora of courgettes (zuchini) we have here.

The Blob, that was a Steve McQueen film?
Avatar 7:00am Bill Mac:

Yedp, filmed just outside of Philadelphia
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04am tw2sheds:

The Burt Bacharach theme was played over the end credits
  7:05am Cooh John:

Keep spinning serendipitous sounds and let the results fall where they may.
Avatar 7:08am Bill Mac:

Thanks for the Blob info Mr Jackson!
  7:08am morphe':

Shook Clauss Naomi's hand once in a nyc club (DRUMS???) in '79-'80?.
I told him his hand felt like a cloud. The only softer adult hand I ever touched was Quentin Crisp's on his 3rd street stoop....
Thanks for spinning Bill, nice mix!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10am tw2sheds:

Thought it was better than the movie when I was little...it was probably among Steve and Burt's first jobs in movies
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10am Scraps:

Forty years and Colossal Youth is still wonderful, I still listen to it at least every month.... there is nothing like it.
Avatar 7:11am Bill Mac:

@Morphe Thanks and thanks for the brushes with greatness
Avatar 7:13am Brian in UK:

Boasting time, we have three sheds, one with a well in it.
Avatar 7:14am Bill Mac:

@BiUK It was just a matter of when
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15am tw2sheds:

I had a shed with no roof but my insurance guy said it wasn't covered
Avatar 7:16am Brian in UK:

Excellent, tw2sheds.
Avatar 7:17am Bill Mac:

Avatar 7:17am Brian in UK:

Why a black cat, is it good luck?
Avatar 7:18am Bill Mac:

I dunno, but it's another example of how you can't judge the music by the band name
Avatar 7:21am duke:

Hello Bill Mac, nice to hear you on Saturday AM
Avatar 7:21am Brian in UK:

Bill, guess it is Maxine doing the sterling work on the album (they will always be albums) covers.
Avatar 7:24am Bill Mac:

It is... I wasn't that if the gallery would be set up today...
Avatar 7:24am Bill Mac:

Hey Duke!
  7:28am Cooh John:

tw2sheds: Is your name Arthur Jackson?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33am tw2sheds:

No thats another one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34am tw2sheds:

I don't want to discuss the sheds either however
Avatar 7:37am Brian in UK:

@tw2sheds price of sheds has gone through the roof here guess this is not a problem for you.
  7:42am medson:

The beginning of Death not making it was they refused to change their name
Avatar 7:45am Bill Mac:

Hey Medson.... the industry messed with a lot of careers backin the day. I was watching a thing on Klaatu and their rise to popularity becuas eht eband promoted them as the Beatles in disguise. Once the ruse was exposed they were forgotten. If they happened in the 80s they could have been a very good pop band.
Avatar 7:47am B/wad:

Just woke up from nap, how is everyone?
Avatar 7:47am Bill Mac:

Still here B/Wad!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49am crateslinger:

thanks Bill for the FYI on the Punk 45 stuff. Always nice to find things I’m not sick of yet.
  7:49am Cooh John:

nudge, nudge, wink, wink, tw2sheds. medson: Death came to my town this year. Showed the documentary before they played. It was fabulous.
Avatar 7:51am Bill Mac:

  8:00am deborah:

Avatar 8:30am Brian in UK:

Hector was tops, never want to see the bio/film of him though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30am Scraps:

No! —what did that come up?? (I have been never in any band, unfortunately)
Avatar 8:32am Brian in UK:

I was in a band called Speceship but it never got off the ground.
  8:32am Rubber City:

Met Klaus Nomi in Akron, Ohio in June, 1980...I was in high school at the time....He talked to me about Jobriath for a half hour...a total eclipse
Avatar 8:32am Bill Mac:

I think it started with your comment about Rob Crow last time I was on - I was casually looking throught some credits on the band and they had an association with someone named scraps... seemed llike too much of a coincidence
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33am Scraps:

(Never lived in San Diego, also)

  9:12am Mary:

Just in time for playlist. And the news-
Andy! Thanks for playing the music in his honor.
Met him in Berlin because mutual friends in movies.
Such a brilliant sweet person.
Will listen to archive for some consolation and celebration. You always have a good show anyway- which is on rather early for non Berliners.
