Good afternoon PGB, it's been a while!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm PGB:

You said it! Good to be back!
  3:10pm Tennessee Jeb:

  3:12pm Chuck:

Yeah...long time...nice start!
Avatar 3:12pm fred:

That's an unexpected cover!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm PGB:

Oh yeah! I've been savin' up, and now it's time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm PGB:

This show is about expectations. Would it be wrong of me to tell you to expect another cover song sometime in the rest of the show?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hullo host - fred! - peoples.
I could almost hear that was Robin Trower...
Avatar 3:25pm Mailman Tom:

Thanks for filling in for Bill, PGB!
  3:26pm P-90:

Hi PGB, long time no see. But always welcome.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27pm People Like Us:

well thank you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I can hear this RogerMcGuinned up...
Avatar 3:30pm Jeff Moore:

Wow, this Carter/Grammer song tickles some neurons.

I remember attending the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival right after Dave Carter died; it kind of turned into to a memorial service for him.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm PGB:

Fun to be back behind the console!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm PGB:

I picked my fav from The Mirror. There are more, folks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm PGB:

"Neuron Tickler" will be the title of my next show. Thanks, Jeff!
  3:33pm Chuck:

Avatar 3:34pm Jeff Moore:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...better than Billy Joel but no clickystar :p ...
Avatar 3:37pm Jeff Moore:

Just so a Neuron Tickler is a good thing, not something terrible like a neuronic whip.

Avatar 3:38pm Jeff Moore:

It sounds like it could be a torture device or a sex toy.

Ain't THAT always the way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm PGB:

The meaning of that title will probably depend entirely what image I choose to go with it. Hmmmm.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Yay, a stick shift person! Fight the power!
  3:45pm Chuck:

it's too hard to eat a hamburger with a manual stick shift!
Avatar 3:45pm northguineahills:

I only drive manual transmissions ( a rarity for Americans)
  3:46pm The Butterman:

I’m flabbergasted. Been listening to this f’in station since 2001 and I’ve NEVER heard of this PGR fella. How is that possible?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

W/ a neuron tickler - manual implies whole new expectations...
  3:49pm The Butterman:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm PGB:

I was at the NY Auto Show years ago looking at a certain brand of "sport sedan." Automatic only. I walked up to the company rep to tell him that a sport sedan should have a manual. Before I could, some other attendee jumped in front of me and yelled "Why can't I get a manual in this?"
  3:50pm The Butterman:

PGB I mean.
Avatar 3:53pm Jeff Moore:

Somehow I think Fiveash would enjoy knowing that the discussion was turning to anal intrusion just as The Piggies were playing.
  3:53pm Chuck:

They never broke up in my mind... nice mashup PGB!!!
Avatar 3:54pm northguineahills:

When I bought my current car, I was living in a city w/ 1.5 M people, and still had to go 75 miles/120 km just to find a decent manual transmission car.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm PGB:

"Honest, Matt. I had nothing to do with that!"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

John @ one point did say if ya wanna know what The Beatles would sound like now - just play all our records together. So there you go.
Avatar 3:59pm dale:

dig this mike post/doogie howser stuff.
  4:01pm Chuck:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm PGB:

@dale: You nailed it! The Filmusic "album" was actually Dave Savadge's demo tape for writing TV music themes. He already had some gigs writing music for NYC TV shows, but was on his way to Hollywood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hey, that's good polka!
  4:08pm Chuck:

PGB, I heard song years ago on WFMU probably the early 2000s with a line 'Down at the Flamin' O'... would you happen to remember who that was?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm PGB:

I'm a polka piker. Tune in to Dance with Me, Stanley for a real fix!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm PGB:

@Chuck: Hmmmm. Not ringing a bell.
  4:13pm Chuck:

There was another couple of lines about somebody played bass and Susie sang blah blah blah etc??? great tune it's driving me crazy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm PGB:

That sounds like Men Without Hats.
Avatar 4:14pm fred:

Another unexpected cover
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15pm PGB:

Pop Goes the World?
  4:16pm Chuck:

the tune had a great horn section kind of reminded me of Frankie Miller High Life???
Avatar 4:17pm dale:

daddy sang bass momma sang tenor?
  4:17pm Chuck:

last night Gina said the Flaming O used to be a diner right down the street from the station???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm PGB:

Sounds like a re-parsing of "The Flamingo."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm PGB:

It was on the corner of Montgomery and Greene. It's now called the City Diner.
  4:22pm Chuck:

Oh well... she said I probably heard it on the Glenn Jones Show but I don't know I don't have a list...thanks anyway!
  4:32pm Chuck:

Yeah baby!!!
Avatar 4:33pm Mailman Tom:

Bring on the heavy droning guitar
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm PGB:

Thanks, everyone! Goin' on mic soon. Stay tuned for Therese!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56pm Revolution Rabbit i:

TY ! A treat - great fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56pm mariano:

Man, what a name, the Molochs! You'd expect some kind of deathcore band or something.
Avatar 4:56pm northguineahills:

Thanks, PGB!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57pm mariano:

Great show, thanks so much!
Avatar 4:58pm fred:

Thanks PGB, I hope you won't wait almost a year before coming back
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm Gord:

Good to hear you, PGB. Hoping to hear your sounds again prior to next year's Hoof n' Mouth.
  4:59pm Chuck:

Most enjoyable indeed!
  5:01pm Chuck:
