@BetsyO @9:24 You can comment on a playlist before the program starts if its in the system early. For example, you can comment on Michael Shelley's show tomorrow already, as he has an entry for August 24 (go to the schedule from the home page and click his program; you'll see a playlist link for August 24); Bryce's program for today is not in the system yet so you can't post early.

@Phillippe,... thank you so much for the ‘Comments List’ info, I did not know that one could comment ahead of time on certain shows like that. I’ve been working and transfixed with the sounds and music Olivia is playing, but thanks again for taking the time to explain it all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am melinda:

There is a William Burroughs walking trail in Lawrence KS.

Carol Channing was the best thing about the movie Skidoo.

"does anybody remember laughter?"
  10:57am John Lopreiato:

your program is truly transformative, one moment I'm in Belleville workshop, soon I,m anywhere I wish to go. Hearts of Space aired on WNYC and was an important part of my radio pleasures. I recall staying up late working on jigsaw puzzles with HOS guiding my thoughts in the background . In a half dazed slumber I recall hearing Arvo Parts' Tabula Rasa and being totally spooked thinking when will I ever hear anything like that again. I wasn.t sure what to think of it! Now I need it. Hearts of Space also was aired on saturdays mornings and it was a joy to hear it while resting in bed. Keep up the good work!
Avatar 10:58am coelacanth∅:

Melinda: I remember New Dimensions! Used to listen on my hometown community radio station KDHX 88.1 St. Louis in the early 90s and then on Montana Public Radio while working as a fire lookout in the Bob Marshall Wilderness in the early 2000s. Sometimes could be some really funny and cheesy stuff on there, but other times it was great. My favorite interview was with the great scholar of Buddhism and translator Robert Thurman, Uma’s dad. He was hilarious, as I recall.
  11:25am Rory:

Fellow KDHX 88.1 fan here. I live near St.Louis

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am tim from champaign:

Pranks are the best.
  11:30am Rory:

@pantz- Toasted ravioli was developedin STL.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am melinda:

@tripod I remember it as a mixed bag too but liked that yu never knew what you'd get. Bob Thurman would have been interesting. I listened in the late 90s in Iowa City and don't remember a lot of specifics except for a discussion of someone who envisioned something akin to a bejewelled baskeball coming up to him and saying "deja vu". I wish I remembered who it was and the context.
  11:32am Rory:

If you are ever in St.Louis area and looking for legit st.louis style pizza. Stay away from IMO’s. Try Stefanina’s instead.
  11:33am tripod:

Rory: yeah KDHX! Loved that station. I’ve stopped listening as much since I discovered WFMU. I understand there has been some controversy at KDHX, of late. Not sure what to make of it all.
Avatar 11:33am mariano:

  11:45am tripod:

Rory: thanks for the pizza recommendation. I have a soft (and clogged) place in my heart for a well-done IMOs pie with bacon. But it’s like junk food. I never know where to go for something better. Re: KDHX. I dunno. There was a long expose in the RFT.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am Phillippe Bastille:

@shere @10:29 It's good, because it's Ethiopian, but the place in Burtonsville is much better since the new owners took over. Tigi's is really small and you have to order the kitfo a day in advance since they don't keep that quality of raw beef on hand. We really like our kitfo and don't plan very well, so that's kind of drawback for us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48am sphere:

@ Phillippe Bastille: thanks for the heads up. im an omnivore who eats vegan most of the time, but i really ought to try kitfo.

There is some difference between the one you played and the one in Youtube. Which one is the original or can you explain what is going on.
