With billows and blasts from choirs and orchesters
Buskers and talkers
Big bands and squawkers,
the Stork Club has retained its qualities of decaying elegance and dwindling significance since the late 1950s.

Avatar 9:54am Linda Lee:

i deeply love 'Marigolds'.
Avatar 10:40am Linda Lee:

what a fab show. honestly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47am Doug Schulkind:

For those unfamiliar with Stork, he is a beloved, long-time WFMU legend. He first came into WFMU's orbit in the early 1990s availing himself as a regular volunteer. For many years he hosted a live music broadcast every Sunday evening on WFMU called Live From the Stork Club on which countless historic and memorable performances were the norm. (Of course, almost all of it was pre-internet, so no archives.) A proud son of New Jersey, Stork met a gal visiting from Germany, fell bonkers in love, and moved to Europe with her. That was, what, 15ish years ago?

Bringing Stork back into the moist and warm clutches of the WFMU family is an wonderful thing. The Drummer Stream is pleased as punch to make it happen.
  10:49am chresti at work:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

We love you, Stork!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

Avatar 10:53am Linda Lee:

Avatar 10:58am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Big, juicy, bouncy thankews to all of the fine people who commented. I really must get faster at all the mechanics of DJ'ing so I can have time to answer in real time. We are really lucky to have such a warm, alert, appreciative community of listeners out there. See you all again from Germany real soon!! hugs 'n smooches,
