Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

MOJO Innovators podcast on TheCure called Joy Division 'alpha male' by comparison...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm ultradamno:

Well, I imagine that brought things to a grinding halt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm TomDash:

Heavy, man...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Wow, good stuff. No Trend, eat your heart out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Imagine walking a prehistoric seashore and you come around a corner and you're suddenly face to face with Blastrosaurus Rex?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm ultradamno:

Toiling Midgets are kind of like MX-80's depressed cousin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm ultradamno:

...Sea of Unrest and Dead Beats are extremely underappreciated records, I might add.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Jeepers .. ToilingMudgets 1982 sound a tiny bit like my band now...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm ultradamno:

I blame the Clintons!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm ultradamno:

I think Tiny Holes never took off because of all the people with trypophobia
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm ultradamno:

Evidently Flipper were named after all Ricky's pets
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm ultradamno:

...that's my favorite RW factoid, it should be part of those projected quizzes they sometime show before movies (or used to, anyway)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm coelacanth∅:

okay i've just decided that whenever i'm with 2 or more other people and the conversation has a lull, the appropriate phrase to utter is "smexmec".
Avatar 3:55pm Creamo Coyl:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm tim from champaign:

I'm trying to decipher if Smexmec is a code for Mark E Smith, Brix and other Fall members. I haven't cracked the code yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm ultradamno:

I think that tape might pre-date Brix in The Fall by a minute.
  4:02pm Polyus:

I bet their neighbors are complaining about the obnoxious white punks who have loud parties and piles of beer cans in the yard.
Avatar 4:04pm Creamo Coyl:

Haha that's what I was thinking...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm ultradamno:

Crass documentary www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm tim from champaign:

Tyvek is always great. I'm glad they're still going (or back if the song's to be believed - haha)
  4:09pm Nellies:

This show is amazing, thank you!
  4:15pm Spoo:

Another faboo show. Thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm ultradamno:

I'm looking forward to nuclear powered missile songs, kind of like the neutron bomb songs of the eighties.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm ultradamno:

Literary reference dreamhavenbooks.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm ultradamno:

Did they talk about Crucifucks at all? Tough for the radio, they could have said Scribbles...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32pm TomDash:

I'm gonna guess that was a different Soviet Sex - there was a NYC band of the same name. i remember this, because I recall this record in my college radio station library back in the 80s - www.discogs.com...
  4:33pm Spoo:

Avatar 4:33pm max-svuvn:

Those are called lath cuts, mutch cheaper to make than pressed vinyl
Avatar 4:33pm max-svuvn:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:34pm TomDash:

sorry bud...ha! I just remember seeing that NYC record around, never heard it...
Avatar 4:35pm Creamo Coyl:

a LAthe cut on clear? I guess so. Not really cheaper tho! Check the prices on getting a lathe cut!
Avatar 4:35pm Creamo Coyl:

Ha and this Soviet Sex has a song called Youth Of AMerica. 80s man, shit was crazy.
Avatar 4:38pm Chris from DC:

Whoa, this PSF is great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Woohoo ! ...Home with the big speakers...
Man - how grateful I am to have this Program of stuffs I love but generally am utterly uninformed about...not just CCs - but hell all uh youse. .
So i got four leetle bottles of white trash NewHampshuh .99cent liquors.. Which do I drink now? ...:
Lady Bligh cherry spices rum
Dept Kuyper peppermint schnapps
Arrow pep schnapps - 100Proof
Arrow BlackBerry brandy...
Avatar 4:39pm max-svuvn:

Cheaper in the sense that you can get small quantities made without the minimum of a pressing plant, usually like less than $10 a piece for single sided ones. Square lathe cuts are usually cheaper too. Check out this site, I've ordered some 7"s from him before: www.precariancuts.com
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39pm ultradamno:

Is it anything like a bone record (russian music pressed on discarded x-rays)? www.thisiscolossal.com...
Avatar 4:40pm max-svuvn:

Yes but much less cool (and more legal haha)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40pm coelacanth∅:

i've got to go do something
maybe be back before 6
Thanks CC - always glad to hear you but usually i'm working at this time

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:41pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@ultrad: 'How TheBeatles Rocked the Kremlin' is a great pocket history of those...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...so where is my movie about the world where no one remembers the MC5....
Avatar 4:44pm Chris from DC:

RRN63, have you seen the parody about a world where no one had heard the Fall? Very well done.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

So what do I drink folkes....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45pm ultradamno:

Ha!...everytime I see that trailer I hope it turns out that he remembers all the songs wrong and everyone says 'you suck, give it up!'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm TomDash:

Rashomon kinda reminds me of early Husker Du...I've heard die Kreuzen bantered about too
Avatar 4:51pm Chris from DC:

I can hear the Die Kreuzen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm ultradamno:

I can hear that, or Rudimentary Peni, the UK's Die Kreuzen.
  4:52pm Sean from Iowa:

Thanks for that ultradomo, I could not place it.
  4:53pm Spoo:

Creamo, do you recommend shows, ever?
  4:54pm increasingness:

yo this is the sickest fugazi cover i've ever heard
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

So - who does that staccato Gittar.. oh Bauhaus 'Third Uncle' .....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- but a Fugazi! ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm ultradamno:

I was going to say Das Damen, but I guess the odds would have been against that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm sphere:

my favorite Fugazi album is Red Medicine. so there.
  5:19pm The Butterman:

Ultradamo, thanks for the bone music link. Super interesting. You’re so good with the computer!
  5:27pm Old Dave:

Rev Rabbit- this is beer weather. Slow down, man. Make Summer last if you can.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm ultradamno:

Hey, I'm right! Jen Smith www.discogs.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm ultradamno:

...or Jean.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm tim from champaign:

Despite my yucks, I do dig this. I always liked Mecca Normal.
  5:42pm Sean from Iowa:

I was going thinking Carla Bozulich
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm ! I X Key !:
