I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm tim from champaign:

There doesn't seem to be cicadas in Western Washington state. It's a bummer for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:30pm zopa:

Hi all. (phew! thought I left the water running...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Kat in Chicago:

I'm not sure if it's actually old enough to set off the Geiger. I just bought a few pieces from a friend recently, I don't have a giant collection :)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Kat in Chicago:

This one came pre-clicky-starred for me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm tim from champaign:

Hi Scott McDowell!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm tim from champaign:

@Kat - the lack of cicadas is sad but there's lots of other stuff to make up for it like finding a sand dollar nest during low tide in the Puget Sound.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Kat in Chicago:

@tim Wow that is very cool, and not too likely on the lakeshore here haha
Avatar 12:44pm Bryce:

it was "an audio collage of digital field recordings of the sounds generated by microscopic aquatic insects, recorded in freshwater ponds around North America and Africa."
Avatar 12:44pm Bryce:

I'm still sore about getting gypped on Brood II five years ago.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm tim from champaign:

This is a fun read : www.goodreads.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Kat in Chicago:

I keep meaning to get hold of "Bug Music"! I've done insect shows a couple of times and played Rothenberg
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm Kat in Chicago:

(tbh I think I swiped a lot of the stuff I played from various 'FMU playlists and someone's DJ premium)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm Krys O.:

There are tons of cicadas in Roseland near my office.
Avatar 12:52pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

gah, missed the Drew McD. Have yet to hear the new one..

When your co-workers give you sheet cake after years on the job, that just sums it up.

You've gotta give at least 30 years of your life to get layer cake
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Kat in Chicago:

Yay, Sensate Focus
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm steveo:

Hello, Bryce, people, and other participants. I am getting my groove on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hiya, Bryce. Way to summon the cicadas! They should be swarming the transmitter by now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm blee:

oy my, this Sensate Focus is rather interesting and looks like a lot of their albums are super vague with 2 songs labeled X , Y for both songs on any album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Phillippe Bastille:

Contractor just raised his hand to rap on my office door, paused a second, then turned around and walked away. I wonder why?
Avatar 1:38pm βrian:

Music to get busy by, he may have thought.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm steveo:

obviously not a fan of cicadas
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Phillippe Bastille:

  1:55pm Hi from Holland:

Aloha - digging Gelbart...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57pm Passaic River Blues:

I could listen to that last Gelbart all day. Jean-Jacques Perrey meets Mulatu Astatke refracted through dust motes and a juddering sampler. And now Ragab! Everything sucks but this radio station.
Avatar 2:01pm greenlight:

@Michael98145 lovely! dobry vecer!
@Rev. Turnip Druid. Salute!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Phillippe Bastille:

This Salah Ragab is just plain mesmerizing.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Phillippe Bastille:

Hey greenlight! Slovakia is one of my favorite places! Spent 10 days there for work, unfortunately had to leave the day before the Red Bull pylon races.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm Phillippe Bastille:

Rev. Turnip Druid We spent most of our time in Bratislava. The older part of the city is pretty cool, closed to traffic most of the time, restaurants and bars with tables out in the streets, a castle to explore. Don't know if it still is, but at the time it was big party destination for the Brits.
Avatar 2:12pm greenlight:

@Phillippe Bastille. wow. that is so cool you liked Slovakia. it has still a lot to catch up with western Europe {geopoliticaly speaking), but it is a deffinitely cool spot. that movie, what was the name ah, Hostel make you think it is bit different, but it is far from it. haha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm strudlzrout:

Love the whole album.
Avatar 2:13pm greenlight:

thanks for the kind words about Slovakia guys. it is very kind of you! appreciate it.
Avatar 2:14pm greenlight:

@Phillippe Bastille where about Slovakia you have been to?
Avatar 2:16pm greenlight:

oh I see, Bratislava. very close to Vienna. county side is very nice. but i suppose states are huge and you have bit of everything.
Avatar 2:18pm greenlight:

yeah, lot of brits love to come over because of cheap booze and pretty girls.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm adrian elaine in mpls:

yeah, keep the Ethiopiques train going!
Avatar 2:18pm greenlight:

MANY brits
Avatar 2:19pm βrian:

Ach, my stream got bumped. I couldn't figure why Bryce was playing german kids' cowboy songs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Phillippe Bastille:

@greenlight People were a lot friendlier than we expected. We were doing some work with/for/at colna sprava, far from exciting, and they looked out for us. We stayed in The Arcadia, incredibly beautiful, awesome service.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm strudlzrout:

@greenlight -- you're from Slovakia?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I hope someone has some high-altitude microphones set up to record the Perseids meteor shower next week. Pew pew!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm zopa:

OK. That's it. Clickey starred whole show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm adrian elaine in mpls:

Avatar 2:29pm greenlight:

@Phillippe Bastille. Im happy that you had a good experience. it is been only 30 years since berlin wall and you still might find some dumbfucks. yeah, new generation is much more open minded these days. they dont even remember pre 89 era and grew up in open and free society. I m glad you had a good experience
Avatar 2:30pm greenlight:

@strudlzrout yep
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm strudlzrout:

Avatar 2:35pm βrian:

This is redonculous! I likes it.
Avatar 2:35pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

[salutes rough estimate of the direction of Brno, home of Janáček]
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Phillippe Bastille:

@greenlight we used a lecture hall at the police academy for a few days, and it was interesting to see that one of the traditions for each graduating class was to spray grafitti on the sidewalks...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm Travisano66:

This music is strangely delightful. I don't even mind that it's exacerbating my tinnitus.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm Michael 98145:

exacerbation is a WFMU hallmark
Avatar 2:38pm greenlight:

@Phillipe Bastille, hahaha I know what you mean. weird right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Phillippe Bastille:

My god that E.E.K. was phenomenal!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm Phillippe Bastille:

@greenlight yeah, and they wonder why they have a grafitti problem lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm strudlzrout:

@greenlight: yeah, been to Fleda many times; I actually lived nearby. It's where I saw Swans for the first time (speaking of exacerbating tinnitus...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm strudlzrout:

I think they only use chalk for the graffiti, though. So eventually rain would wash that off.
  2:42pm mic_clamp:

Bebey too? My gawd, you're pushing all the buttons today! Glorious.
Avatar 2:42pm greenlight:

@Phillippe Bastille hahaha lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Bryce. Would you be a sport and check the locks on the new door to Studio A before you head out?
Avatar 2:47pm greenlight:

@strudlzrac. that was not that long ago no? actually Swans in Fleda? it is kind of small venue. that is like asking for tinitus. I have seen Swans live 3 times. man. there were moments I said to myself I cant take each time, but stayed all the way always. similar experience with My Bloody Valentine live once. Primaver Sound Barcelona in auditorium. it was tough at times but yet amazing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Phillippe Bastille:

@strudlzrout Could be. I seem to remember enough of it that we asked why there was so much so close to the acadamy.
  2:51pm John from Florham park:

Hello fellow Bryce listeners
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Michael 98145:

thank you for the ride, Bryce
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm strudlzrout:

@greenlight I believe it was in 2014. I think I left the city shortly after. I've seen both Swans and MBV a couple of times, too. Awesome stuff!
