Hi Scott and everybody! I would actually donate to my local NPR station if they had a 1 minute jazz show followed by another show that plays freaky deaky John Coltrane.

Took me a while to catch on to this, but WMFU is on about a 6 minute delay from WFMU. I think it started yesterday. Until now I thought it was just a spate of DJs arriving late.

Anybody know what the delay is for? I know WMFU's been having trouble an exceptional amount lately.

...I should like more specifics on Coltrane's personal relationship to LSD... Jazz is certainly the model for Improvisation in Rawk (when they blasted their way past two minutes:30....) : Coltrane specifically for 'Eight Miles High - in turn a model for many (Floyds, VUs even I'm thinkin'...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13pm People Like Us:

glad you're back in the big studio proper
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13pm TomDash:

Revolution Rabbit Nov63 - I thought there was mention of Coltrane experimenting with LSD in Seattle before the "Live In Seattle" session, or am I making that up? Might have been on acid for that set? I think he wasn't too into it otherwise though and never really dabbled with it again. Someone can correct me on that though...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:34pm TomDash:

love Supersilent - forgot about them - first heard on a Wire Tapper comp I think.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm lukas:

I still like Supersilent, but I think they hit their high point around 6,7, or 8, with their drummer. Also love 4, though...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm steveo:
