  9:07pm JakeGould:

You know, I have been pretty much endlessly listening to the Wilbert Harrison version of this—and the “Stay” version—all this week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:08pm Dominick:

it's a good one
Avatar 9:08pm JIMD2019:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18pm Ken From Hyde Park:

There should be a mashup with "Friday Night" and "54'40" Or Fight."
Avatar 9:19pm JIMD2019:

Hell yeah ken
Avatar 9:20pm JIMD2019:

Did u guys see that sabbath/doors mashup? It’s pretty amazing
  9:21pm JakeGould:

I don’t need imagery of James K. Polk getting laid… Laid on a Friday night…
  9:21pm Figgsrock:

EFD, is the Canned Heat inspired by last week’s Woodstock show?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm efd:

@Figgsrock it is indeed! Plus I have a story about it...
  9:24pm Figgsrock:

@EFD—I can’t wait to hear it!
Avatar 9:25pm JIMD2019:

@EFD--That was a great story, which I hadn't heard before.

Unrelated to Canned Heat -- I just got the new Lloyd Cole in the mail today. Don't know if the station got it but it's got a cool mid-80s vibe going on it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48pm efd:

Mine (and the station's) are en route!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50pm chris_in_space:

Smoking set! Stoked for this one tonight, as always, @efd.
Avatar 9:50pm Bic Lighter:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51pm Figgsrock:

Ah, excellent! He signed my CD with a silver paint pen...and I don't remember ordering an autographed one! It was a rather nice surprise.

  10:07pm sufferwords:

cause ya asked - i’ve just dismounted my 2001 Vespa ET4 - i have just completed a trip along Sunset Blvd back from Santa Monica Beach/ water is optimum temperature - great ride - curves in Beverly Hills- Sunset Strip- cut up to hollywood blvd for the last few miles before landing in Los Feliz / it’s hard core perfect SoCal summer- that questionable 99cent disco tune hit at UCLA in Westwood and i achieved true singularity- peace
Avatar 10:08pm JIMD2019:

That sounds incredible
  10:11pm PedroC:

Guys, does anybody know how can I buy the marathon djs swag from 2019 from this page https://wfmu.org/dj-premiums/ ???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm efd:

@PedroC you get them by pledging, like it says on the page - click the link that says "make your pledge right here," for every $75 you pledge you can pick one premium.
  10:15pm PedroC:

@efd hi. Wen I click on pledge I go to another page and that other page doesn’t have the same products that I’m looking foreword to choose. (Wake T-shirt sticker and hat)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19pm efd:

@PedroC please email Joe McGasko at jmcgasko at wfmu dot org - he can help you out, I can' talk you through it while I'm on the air :)
Avatar 10:20pm Hoboken Jack:

If you get a chance, please ask Mr McDonald if I should put salt in my eyes.
  10:20pm PedroC:

Yo JIMD2019 happy to light the way
  10:24pm Judy Bromley:

Yep, still listening for a minute. Thanks for the hello, thanks for the Stones.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm Figgsrock:

Ah, it's the CanCon part of the evening...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28pm chris_in_space:

Bob Segarini! Toronto salutes you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30pm Sid:

More CanCon. Thought this was an Ozzy cover for a minute.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm Sid:

Dudes' "Rock 'n' Roll Debutante" reminded me of Mott's "Rock 'n' Roll Queen," and I see that Fred Heller managed both bands.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40pm Figgsrock:

"You said hmmm like a cop" made me do a literal spit take.
  10:45pm Daybreak and the discovery!:

How old are these men?!?

Don’t discount your own age and experience and the power of that connecting you to a band, especially the moment just described. I think that really influences a preference between early vs. later preferences.
  10:48pm JakeGould:

Quiet shoes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Go, Blue Bombers!
  10:53pm JakeGould:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55pm chris_in_space:

@efd, what a rap about doing what you do, for free. That was some kind of lid; truly a shining moment. Thanks! You know your listeners love ya!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57pm Figgsrock:

That was a very enjoyable chat EFD!
Avatar 10:57pm Hoboken Jack:

Totally charming interview, EFD! Thank you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59pm efd:

thanks everyone! I'm such a fan I was really nervous, I'm such a huge fan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:00pm Aitch:

I forgot Cheap Trick could be good
Avatar 11:01pm herb.nyc:

Evan said "I always forget Connecticut", which leads to Massachusetts band the Pernice Brothers calling Connecticut "the state in the way" when they do NYC shows. New record coming up.-- v enjoyable interview!
  11:08pm Figgsrock:

Damn, this post interview set is slamming.
Avatar 11:10pm ! I X Key !:
