Peter Lemongello made a fortune on it. I remember that SNL satirized him at the time as "Peter Lemonmoodring."

A guy had a heart attack while perusing the 45s at Poo-Bah Records, last week. As he was being carried out he said "Wait, I'm not done shopping!"

This Koen Holtkamp is quite beautiful.
Avatar 4:25pm

I still like the piece where in 2000 Hurricane Charlie (?) skirted the coast of NYC and Vitiello had an artist residency on one of the top floors and put contact mics on the windows and recorded the howling wind and creaking of the edifice swaying.
Avatar 4:25pm

Lemongello insists: “When I get into a dispute, I go and see my lawyer, I don’t burn the house down.”

Ochre Ogre:

@ Linda Lee- Ah, I didn't think of Sandy on recent Amtrak trips NYC/upstate I saw twisted tree trunks, obviously tornado like damage.
Patrick Dufyy: Love Beast:

Warwick joe: Why youd be interested in what other people think of a movie is completely beyond me. In my experience, the best movies get the worst reviews, and vice versa. But dont trust my views of course.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm

Criticizing criticism is silly. You're now a critic too, PDLB. The best critics' reviews are works of art in and of themselves. Also, aside from that, I don't want to invest 2 hours of my time without some indication as to what that investment is going to get me. I like to find a few critics that I often (not always, because that would be impossible) agree with and then use them as a guide for that.

Coast took the hit for us on Sandy - then we battened down for Irene

Rich delicious layer cake this one!
Patrick Dufyy: Love Beast:

Criticizing criticism is not silly in the slightest. Im gonna critique your critique of me now. Suffice to say that u only critiqued my views bcuz you wanted to show how smarter u were than me. Im not heaing it. Who needs a critic to tel us what we already know; namely that most movies are garbage. As for time investment, are u kidding me? Time watching movies is an investment? Since when? We watch movies cuz its an easy alternative to doing something more worthwhile. I can tell within 2 minutes of a movie starting if its gonna be any good or not. I gave up reading reviews years ago. We all have different tastes. Saying u like to find a critic who often agrees with u, i mean come on!! A good movie is a good movie and it aint rocket science. If its MArvel, we know its crap; if its Arthouse, we know what we're gonna get. Why do u want to have the movie spoiled for u anyway? Do u have someone to chew your food for u?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm

No carrot cake talk, yet
Avatar 5:51pm

Usually a two sentence blurb or looking up a director's past work (if I'm not familiar) is enough for me to watch a movie.
