Hi there!!! Welcome to this fill-in show. It's past midnight where I'm living, when this is streaming, so I won't be here live, but I would very much appreciate any comment. I hope you'll enjoy yourselves. (don't forget to hit the refresh button to see new comments) Bye bye!

Spacebrother Greg was abducted by saucer people, so he couldn't make it today. But Jan is here. the man's a true champ, filling in when he hears Sheena's jungle cry for help.

What's all this then?

Martinibomb:

I went down the MIXXX rabbit hole and came up with a super cool way of rigghing that software up with a mic/turntables going into ableton.. insane o

Mr Fab:

Hey Rich! don't now the background behind this racoon encounter. A youtube vid perhaps? But I do know this music makes everything sound profound.

never thought of Eleanor Rigby as cop-show chase music. Shows you how much I know.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm
Rich in Washington:

Dystopian alternative reality 60s movie idea wherein everyone must perform a Beatles cover or face some Kafkaesque tribunal.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm
Rich in Washington:

I'll bet there are more obligatory Beatles covers than obligatory Dylan covers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23pm

This is cool!

Aww yeah, Popcorn.
  7:35pm
Martinibomb:

@Rich omfg I'm deep in mixxx right on osx it's cool cause you can send each of the 4 decks/mic/aux inputs all over Soundflower 32 stereo channels total. SO I'm sending everying to Ableton live and mixing there/adding fx/recording but I'm playing everything from MIXXX and it's handling the mic inputs as well. Plus I've got multiple midi controllers working at the same time with it. It's good piece of software. I could rig up a MIXXX + Reaper rig for people that would be an insane piece of Dj gear.

Martinibomb:

DUDE! JAN IS on the Piano! Man I just had that tuned last week. Be careful!

Ha, orchestral Popcorn. Nutty!

Martinibomb:

5 notes that all you need! All hail the black keys/pentatonic scale
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm
Rich in Washington:

Dang. I used to use Mixxx on my old Powerbook that ran also ran Ableton. I had no idea. The most complicated thing I do that's MIDI is use a simple USB DJ mixer on my current Macbook pro. Nothin' fancy.
  7:49pm
Martinibomb:

@Rich u should install SoundFlower on your Macbook Pro. That's the thing that makes it super easy to route audio from different apps you're running on your Mac into other programs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm
Rich in Washington:

Diggin' these Beatles covers!
Avatar 7:56pm

Toby Rix was like the Spike Jones of the Netherlands. Fun stuff.
