I don't know enough about the Stones' background, their misdeeds, etc., but I remember a silly ad hominem book about The Clash not being genuine punks, because they were art school educated. That's not an argument.

and the fact that Jagger and Richards claimed total credit for songs they didn't write; and Jagger fucked Mick Taylor over -and over -and over -is enough for me to accept the other allegations as beyond feasible. (as well as the bittersweet symphony theft, which is fact)

I just think thst most folks commenting on the ABKCO/Bittersweet Symphony legal case have not spent any time reading any documents regarding the case, copyright law, or art appropriation. Of course, it's easier just to paint everything with simple broad black and white strokes, but as usual, it's a bit more complex and gray.
