I had someone ride my bumper for eight blocks after I was getting home after trivia night. my house is on the side of the road, so, even though I had my blinker on for a block, as per usual, when I slowed down turn into my driveway, el pinche tapped me. Luckily, there was no visible damage. Glad, you're alright, Bill!

I have nightmares about not having work to go to..
Avatar 7:43pm Bill Mac:

I know what you all mean. I prepared myself for the trek to work but I didn't get two miles down the road before I bumped the guy hard in front of me. Look at the cars, everything was ok, but the guy needed to call the cops... got a ticket.... everyone ok though.

Avatar 7:50pm northguineahills:

I had someone try to sue me last year as I they pulled a fast stop 10 m from a stop sign. I was going 1 mile/hr. There was no damage. I took pics, and the lady made late for work by holding me up for 90 mins. She was combative, and insisted she needed an ambulance. The cop, talked to me, saw the evidence, and told her to be on her way. In court, the cop claimed he didn't file the right paper work and was reprimanded by the judge. The suit was thrown out. I thanked the officer (a Latino), he said, he didn't mind as he didn't have time for BS. I guess, that's my pass for being a white male.
Avatar 7:51pm geezerette:

Tickets are a drag for sure, but not being injured is what really matters.
Bill, you were lucky, glad you're ok!

Hey Doc, how's Richie Havens uncle?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm chresti:

The first time I bumped into a car in front of me, was on the 101/405 transition. The driver's name was Johnny Justice
Avatar 7:58pm northguineahills:

I've only had two negative run-ins w/ cops, one w/ a cop having a bad day that pulled me over going 5mph over the limit on the interstate (angry SOB), and being cuffed on the 4th of July four years ago in Bed-Stuy when I had some 'things' on me. A Puerto Rican, calmed me down in the later instance, and I was eventually let go (He thought it was reverse stop-and-frisk, as he was lighter skinned as well).
Avatar 7:59pm Bill Mac:

Ha! You know what's weird once the trooper came I never saw the other driver again,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm fleep:

A cop car strategically bumping a pursuit vehicle, causing it to spin and stall out, is a PIT maneuver.
Avatar 8:25pm Bill Mac:

Now yer talking... I believe they do but I don't know what kind of break you get in return
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm chresti:

@LD Hi Dan... I'm actually jealous that you can do that. Don't know if you know my story, but I drive 80 plus miles from the Philly area to come up here. Once I committed to it, this place and by extension my job pulled me up towards this area. It's only 50 miles to work, but there's a lot of built in white knuckle driving for me to get around.
Avatar 8:43pm Bill Mac:

I think Kurious was one of the first I heard - Cruisers Creak another
Avatar 9:01pm northguineahills:

same here, LD, my college gf had it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:03pm Jeff Golick:

Taconic goes north from just above NYC toward Poughkeepsie, a little east of the Hudson. They take their 55mph limit seriously.

Fall catalog is surprisingly strong. Go back in time from Oranj for better results.

Pouring one out for Dr. John tonight, Bill?

Avatar 9:11pm Franco Twinkie:

The first time I heard Harry Irene was at The Whisky in 1974. Before they went on Don was standing there watching the opening act. I asked him if he ws going to do any tricks with smoke. He said "You want a smoke?" and whipped out a fancy cigarette case, Silly me said"No thanks I don't smoke."
