Gonna order some take out chicken, listening while handling my food biz.

Mr Fab:

yo yo Don-O. hey, I loved this movie, saw it when it came out, then later saw it with Phil himself playing live with the movie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm
Rich in Washington:

Totally!
Avatar 6:02pm
Don-O:

Now that you reminded me, Henry. I need to catch up on the PDQ!
Avatar 6:02pm
Mr Fab:

and I knew how to play this piece on my li'l Casio! Glass for beginners.
Avatar 6:03pm
Don-O:

I got the movie on DVD years ago and am tempted to blast it one some large stereo speakers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03pm
Rich in Washington:

I saw this in a nearly empty theater as a teenager because Siskel and Ebert gave it such glowing reviews on their PBS show. It was life changing.
Avatar 6:05pm
Don-O:

I first seen it on the old Z Channel.
Avatar 6:07pm
Don-O:

I know the whole Sqatsi series on Criterion and the library had it, but some shmuck stole it.

This is like The Church of the SubGenius rants from Rev. Ivan Stang.

Yeah, windy here too. No paragliding here today.
Avatar 6:17pm
Don-O:

I'm so close to the beach that I'm watching the sand from the beach blowing down the street in front of me. NOT safe for a walk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:17pm
Granny Spicy Tuna:

The thing that shocks me the most about John Waters is that that's his actual birth name.
Avatar 6:17pm
spacebrother:

Your music mix, right?

Hello Don-O listening in from the great state of Aura Gun.

This is hilarious. I remember reading Crackpot many years ago but it's better hearing him read it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:25pm
Granny Spicy Tuna:

i'm pretty sure that half of my misery is due to Rod McKuen
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:25pm
Rich in Warshington:

That was brilliant, Don-O!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm
Granny Spicy Tuna:

i was disgusted with the 80s until the 90s happened and made it all worse
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28pm
Rich in Warshington:

I liked my experience of the 80s, but the 90s were bleak, other than fatherhood. I'm finding the 2000s to be downright futopian (futile+dystopia).
Avatar 6:28pm
Don-O:

I'm waiting for John's new book, Mr. Know It All.
Avatar 6:28pm
Otis Fodder:

Nice Waters Piece Don-O!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm
Rich in Warshington:

I love this album! I've been meaning to play some of his pre-Fred Lane nutiness! I wish that documentary would play around here! I need to see it!
Avatar 6:29pm
Don-O:

The good side about the 90's was that there were more options offered than the previous decade.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30pm

Bowling a perfect 300, Don-O!
Avatar 6:31pm
Don-O:

Thanks, Granny.

Seat Bee Sate!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm

Seriously, this could be one of my mix tapes from 1990. I'm feeling a bizarre sensation—ah, yes, SEAT BE SATE!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm

My kids used to love to chant along with this song.

All these Bay Area shout outs are highly amusing to me.
Avatar 6:35pm
Don-O:

I play these guys a LITTLE too much, I fear...and John Waters....and if I wanted to see Mr. Fab turn blue in the face, I'd play on TOO many Xanadu related recordings. Well, you choose your poison in life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm
Granny Spicy Tuna:

I sing this song whenever i drive through Contra Costa County
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38pm

Avatar 6:42pm

I remember the Beat Farmers! Yeah!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm
Rich in Warshington:

Oh man. Daniel Johnston visited KBOO many years ago and gave someone his entire discography, but it was all on CDRs, relatively unlabeled. Then, when the station manager quite, he stuffed them all into my mailbox. I keep meaning to make jewel cases for them, but they just sit in a box in my closet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm
Rich in Warshington:

I got to see him walk out of the station with his little entourage. it was kind of weird.
Avatar 6:47pm
Mr Fab:

Can' t play too much negativland or John Waters for me.

I found out recently that there was a posthumous Country Dick solo album. Gotta get!
Avatar 6:47pm
Mr Fab:

Hello dad. I'm in jail!!
Avatar 6:48pm
Don-O:

I downloaded Country Dick solo CD a few days ago. Planning to give it a shot this weekend
Avatar 6:50pm
grantbob:

@Rich CDR's don't last forever. I would copy them to something newer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm
Rich in Warshington:

Yes. You are right, grantbob! Better I should rip and deep freeze them on SSD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm
Rich in Warshington:

I meant HD. SSDs aren't so good for long term storage.
Avatar 6:54pm
Don-O:

BTW, there is no Was (Not Was) track in this set as I all ready played it in the last one. It was a last minute adjustment.
Avatar 6:57pm
Otis Fodder:

Negativland and Swing out. I know you well, was waiting for ONJ and ELO. Great show!!
