Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am Brian in UK:

Joe, I seem to remember that Apple issued a cajun single when they first started. Cannot recall the name. They were diverse/freeform. Now that would be an interesting show!
Avatar 9:47am TDK60:

..this Byrds tune is a fave (as many of their cuts are!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am Brian in UK:

Oh yes, perfect song for the weather here. In fact the whole album. Out of conflict comes a beautiful album.
Avatar 9:47am Roberto:

And King of Fuh is Fuh-King glorious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48am Brian in UK:

At a time when albums averages 30-33 minutes long.
  9:50am morphe':

That set made me think of Sandy Denny and I had no idea of the first "SANDY" tune. I did not know Peggy Lipton sang too??? The reason X-Ray and I did not get along (both born 1961) is that we had crushes on the same women:Jeannie, Samantha, Sr Betrill, Peggy Lipton .... I told him he could have his Taylor Ham and I would take the fantasies...
Got to go Joe... Remember Do not walk around with those 45s in yer hand...Morphe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am melinda:

@steveo me too

Avatar 9:58am Joe McG:

Odd that the man who invented the segway was killed riding one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01am karlward:

Avatar 10:17am Joe McG:

@TDK60: The variety and scope of his music is great. We're starting off with him having fun with home with early late '60s type stuff, but he goes amazing places, so stay with us.

Avatar 11:20am Lost Cause:

excellent show! I used to own a PolySix and a Korg M1. had no idea Don did the demo.
Avatar 11:22am Joe McG:

@LC: Yes, Don's demos were the Korg standby for years. How many musicians were influenced by them? The mind boggles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:22am Granny Spicy Tuna:

we have lift off
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25am Brian in UK:

Joe, wonder if Pete Townshend use this as a guide for Underture
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am Brian in UK:

Oh 1981 maybe not.
  11:26am Pete:

I used an M1 through the U.S. in the 90’s. Can’t say I ever listened to the demos. Ha. Use an SV-1 currently. Chilled out in my old age.lol

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Irene Trudel:

G, WABC-FM was the first FM station I listened to at length as a kid. I've often said their "Love" format was a huge influence on my musical development, often playing soft rock and similar tunes. I remember that Station ID Joe played!

Wm. Berger's father was program director at WPLJ for many years. Larry Berger passed away last year. RIP to him and to WPLJ.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am G:

Yes, "Love" was a programming format that had some freeform elements to it, back in the early 70s...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am Irene Trudel:

Sadly, WPLJ din't speak to me aside from the early days.
