@Rich - All images sourced from Discogs. Probably was! I also love the submitted discogs photo for Waylon with the "Not For Sale" sticker... oh how they were so wrong in 1979, please sell me more!
Fri. 5/3/19 3:14pm Dave in St Albans UK:

Hi Otis and everyone. First time listener to the show. This is fun! Definitely suiting my mood right now. Great show.

Hi, Dave! :-)
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:16pm Martinibomb:

Otis are you still using Dreamhost? I think I'm going to build a new website soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:17pm Otis Fodder:

@MB - I recommend Siteground. Check them out. GrowBig plan allows more than 1 site. I still have a couple of sites with DH.. but have moved over to Siteground and another host A2 for many sites.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:19pm Martinibomb:

ah cool! I haven't kept up but need make a personal/artist site soon I think
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:20pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:26pm Otis Fodder:

Yes, on varied platforms. These days mostly Woo with WP or Shopify or Squarespace. Or setting up Bandcamp accounts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:27pm Otis Fodder:

@MB - We can jump on a call soon and I can help with direction/questions. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:28pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Staggeringly bloody brilliant show this week, Otis :-)
Actually - this has been a REALLY good week all round!
Sheena fist pump! :-)

Gonna relisten via the archive tomorrow! Brilliant mix.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:31pm Otis Fodder:

I wish there was a full album of Waylon, oh how I do.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:31pm Otis Fodder:

Thanks for listening Dave, cheers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:32pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

You have given me a taste of Waylon ... got me hooked ... and that's all there is of him. <sad face>
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:32pm Martinibomb:

I was thinking of setting up a shop on a personal site over doing etsy.. i have this really specific art/biz idea I'm kinda working toward
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:39pm Hopey Sockmonkey:

Oh I love the Bee Gees version of this, but this is pretty cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:39pm Jan Turkenburg:

looking forward to see that MB!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:41pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

My daughter approves of this - she loves "Holiday" :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:41pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Mark Lindsay? As in Paul Revere and the Raiders??
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:42pm Otis Fodder:

Yes!!!!!!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:42pm Martinibomb:

i love the vibe today. good for being in a creative state of mind
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:42pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I used to watch their TV show when I was a kid in Vancouver :-)
Fri. 5/3/19 3:43pm Dave in St Albans UK:

Waylon! Is there more? Please..... please, please.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:43pm Otis Fodder:

@MB - The rest of the show should be good for work, lovely songs to electronic instrumental bits.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:43pm Martinibomb:

I was watching the Sonics for the first time when they came on stage and announced they'd just gotten a text that Mark had died.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:44pm Otis Fodder:

@Dave - God, I wish. Only one 7" of Waylon.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:45pm Martinibomb:

Got to see him play a couple times when I was a kid. He'd play all the County Fair stuff in this area back in the 70s/80s
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:46pm Martinibomb:

Stovetop!? lol
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:47pm Martinibomb:

whew! i've been correctly pronouncing Janko Nilovic for the most part hah
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:51pm Otis Fodder:

Stovetop, I'm a dork. Ha.

Getting names right, we try and fail often. I still hope I am saying Janko's name correctly.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:53pm Martinibomb:

I go to utube and type "how do you pronounce..." all the time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:55pm Otis Fodder:

I use Google Translate as they have the voice feature, we can get pretty close these days.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:55pm Martinibomb:

Dunno if I told ya but I just got a new/old hardware sampler. they go for nothing these days cause software is honestly probably better.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:56pm Otis Fodder:

Sometimes I miss my old Roland S-10 keyboard. Have thought about picking one up again along with a Tascam 4-track.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 3:57pm Martinibomb:

I'm finding that the limitations of old hardware make me more creative.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 3:58pm Otis Fodder:

Sigh, but I know myself well. I would get the gear and then go, meh... I'll work on music next week and make popcorn and binge more shows and movies.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:03pm Martinibomb:

hah! totally! I'd prefer to do that. Doom Patrol I am addicted to
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:04pm Otis Fodder:

Oh yes, I'm watching Doom Patrol weekly now, with Game of Thrones + finally watching Handmaid's Tale 2nd season (will finish that tonight). With the pop of the corn.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:04pm Martinibomb:

And.. the new Swamp Thing series stars in June I think .. can't effing wait
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:05pm Otis Fodder:

I wanna watch that too!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:05pm Martinibomb:

brendan fraser is killin' it as Robotman
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:12pm Martinibomb:

It'd be funny if in the middle of all these giant super hero movies and tv shows like some François Truffaut type film just becomes huge all of the sudden.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:12pm geezerette:

Digging this film we're all in. Nice dream state.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:13pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I need to get this Jaune album!!! Off to slsk for me now ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:14pm Otis Fodder:

Jaune is really, such a great album. Again, I had never heard of it until I moved to Quebec just over a decade ago. It's really lovely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:15pm Otis Fodder:

The dream state continues with 2 songs by Pearls Before Swine next. Favs.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:16pm geezerette:

ooh! :)
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:16pm Martinibomb:

Be cool if Sheena's could rep at Record fair next year.. I haven't been out there in years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:17pm Otis Fodder:

@MB - I am going to make it a point to go to the record fair next year in 2020. Would be wonderful to see one another again and hang out there!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:17pm Martinibomb:

I'd love to get a sleeper car on the train and take my dog with us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:18pm Otis Fodder:

I always take the train down to NYC, plan my trip 2 days for travel. Love it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:19pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

If you do can we please have a video call at one point? :-)
Fri. 5/3/19 4:19pm Dave in St Albans UK:

From fabulous to sublime in an instant.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:19pm Mr Fab:

Would love to , haven't been to NYC in ages. But do you fly into Newark to hit WFMU Central?
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:21pm Martinibomb:

We can air b & b a giant sheena's house for the after parties
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:23pm Otis Fodder:

I'd be up to split costs on a rental. Let's start thinking about plans this early and have a Sheena's meetup. We could most likely plan something at the fair, maybe a DJ set with us there. I will volunteer for sure. Have not been to the fair since 2001... long time comin'
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:24pm chresti:

Hello Otis and persuaders!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:24pm Martinibomb:

Hi Chresti!! goot ta cya
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:25pm Otis Fodder:

Hi chresti!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:26pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm gonna bow out after this Johnny Trunk track and catch up with the other half of the show (and the others I missed) over weekend cooking. Fabulous show! Have a great weekend everyone! :-)
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:26pm Martinibomb:

i dunno Jonny Trunk butt this track is kewl
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:27pm geezerette:

Chresti, this is good twirling music!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:27pm Martinibomb:

take care GG!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:27pm Otis Fodder:

Bye GG, happy weekend!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:27pm geezerette:

How was the desert?
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:27pm Mr Fab:

THought Trunk was a label, but it's an artist too? yeah, diggin undersea sounds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:28pm Otis Fodder:

@MB - Jonny of Trunk Records. Nice soundtrack to a book. Record comes with the entire Verne book 12x12, screen printed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:28pm chresti:

Yes geeze-I am twirling!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:28pm Otis Fodder:

Yep. Jonny does collage stuff too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:32pm Rich in Washington:

It's worth subscribing to Jonny's email list; he puts some random record download up for a mere 5p every week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:32pm Webhamster Henry:

Hmm sounds like an Omnichord in there. After Doug played an autoharp cut this morning ... it's my kind of music!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:33pm Otis Fodder:

@rich - totally. On the list for an email every Friday. Great links to videos almost every week.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:33pm Martinibomb:

@otis lathe cut record + hand made 7x7 painting 25 in a series. What a good price?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:34pm Rich in Washington:

I've always dug Pye Corner Audio's library music vibe, both in terms of sound and packaging.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:34pm Otis Fodder:

@MB - Well, with custom artwork. Depends, maybe somewhere between $30-$40 USD? The lathe cut by hand and probably screen print a cover around. The artwork I would pay more of course for. Thinking on a new project are we?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:35pm Otis Fodder:

@Rich - Me too. The new album Hollow Earth is shaping up to be one of my favs from him. Just got it last week and have been playing it a ton.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:35pm Martinibomb:

yes exactly some very small press music project.. kinda hand made etc...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:37pm Otis Fodder:

@MB - From you! Put me down for 1.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:37pm Martinibomb:

Okay so price wise yeah $30-40 if it's *printed* but thinking maybe around $100 if I hand paint a bunch of 7x7
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:39pm Otis Fodder:

Hand-painted, each one, for sure you can charge more.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:41pm chresti:

MB- how about both? A select few of hand painted, plus some printed ones?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:42pm Otis Fodder:

@chresti - I always like this option.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:42pm Mr Fab:

Oh man, i'm in my leisure suit and porn 'stache, chasing bad guys in my Camero now
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:43pm Martinibomb:

@Chresti hmm that's a good way to start. I'll make 25 and do 12 paintings which each get a print plus 1 *special* painting with no print that costs a little more. thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:43pm Otis Fodder:

@Fab - This song is like 10 minutes, so keep crusin' with that butterfly collar.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:44pm Mr Fab:

*raises fist* Solid!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:46pm Martinibomb:

...but there's only 2 bass notes *slap* that's all you need man
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:47pm Otis Fodder:

Last week, I started an edit of this track, Saturnus. Got it to an hour. Was going to just play it for the entire 3 hour show, an attempt at being lazy. But I may do it on 1 pop song slowed down from 3 minutes to 3 hours soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:47pm Jan Turkenburg:

a long line of yellow stars overhere. Making it easy to see where to pick up in the archives tomorrow, but I may also re-listen this entire show, or maybe this entire day! :-) Happy listening everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:47pm Otis Fodder:

Happy weekend Jan!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:48pm Martinibomb:

U turned this track into an hour long edit! hah!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:49pm Martinibomb:

might make great background/talk over music? okay see ya Jan have a good weekend
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:49pm Otis Fodder:

Thing is, the whole song is good, and pretty much the same with solos. So you use all of it in an edit and just arrange.
Fri. 5/3/19 4:50pm Dave in St Albans UK:

Count me in! 1 hour of this will be an hour of my life well spent.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:51pm Mr Fab:

There are so many Nuggets-type '70s funk comps out there - I just nabbed a big mess of 'em - but they're all on dif labels, with dif names. There's no actual series, like, y'know, "Chitlins" or sumthin that would make it easier to get a handle on 'em all.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:51pm Martinibomb:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 4:55pm chresti:

Hot stuff!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 4:59pm Martinibomb:

I read Behringer is maybe going to do a knock off cheapo version of the EMs Synthi
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:04pm Martinibomb:

Ever done much electronic work Otis? synths etc... I've only heard samples mostly from ya
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:06pm Otis Fodder:

100% sampling. All I ever wanted to do, collage. Collaborations with many folks playing a wide variety of stuff tho' in projects. Love to play with others and just stick to sampling. Fun!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:07pm Martinibomb:

i could make a bunch electronic sounds to collage together - that might be a fun collaboration?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:09pm Otis Fodder:

Would love that. On a bit of a hibernation at the moment in creating new stuff, but in time yes. Just now listening and have no interest in creating... until the bug bites again. It's sleeping, sweet little bug.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:09pm Martinibomb:

The Electronium is here in Portland right now being worked on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:10pm Otis Fodder:

Wow, really, that's great.

Mark Mothersbaugh told me it was cool to go check it out. I already cleared it with him.

Oh man. I forgot about this record! My friend Toby has played it on his show. I must have it!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:22pm grantbob:

MB: "Mark Mothersbaugh told me"... that's much better than "Simon says".
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:24pm grantbob:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:25pm chresti:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:26pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:27pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:47pm Martinibomb:

Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:51pm Martinibomb:

Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:55pm Don-O:

Don' ashes are sitting next to me. Kinda creepy. I guess he's my roommate now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:56pm Rich in Washington:

We've got a plaque and Don-remains at KBOO, too.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:57pm Martinibomb:

I assume it's all part of the same framed plaque Ashes. I wonder how many there are?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:57pm Rich in Washington:

I wanna permanently install it in the avant-garde section, even though all the Negativland albums are in the 'modern rock' section. Maybe I'll petition to have them reclassified.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:58pm Otis Fodder:

Oooha thanks for listening everyone, sorry fell asleep in class. Stay tuned for more Sheena's!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:58pm Martinibomb:

Maybe they need their own Genre?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:59pm Rich in Washington:

Not sure. I donated my/Don's ashes and had a plaque engraved (with a few suggestions by Peter Conheim) and then Toby/Dr. Zomb built a lovely wooden base for it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:59pm Otis Fodder:

This is either an actual record of the history of money.. or the most boring sound collage record every committed to vinyl.
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 5:59pm Don-O:

"Rock & What?!" -Don Joyce.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 5/3/19 5:59pm Rich in Washington:

Thanks, Otis!
Avatar Fri. 5/3/19 6:00pm grantbob:
