Avatar 6:02am spamoni:

Hi Sem, duke
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03am annie:

well, i was off in a daze...listening to monica's show from last night, dreaming about a road trip to the left coast: car or train? hhmmm... have to consider all the possibilities.. hhmm..oh!! hi everyone!
Avatar 6:04am Sem:

annie: train would be my pick. Crossed Canada from Vancouver, 5 days, never forget the trip.
  6:04am clarke:

good mawnin' ya'll!!
  6:05am clarke:

annie - i, too, vote for train. the train is a dying ART
Avatar 6:05am Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

Morning Jeffrey and listeners, Saturday at last!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06am annie:

yup, i'm leaning in that direction.. was it expensive? i've always loved train travel
  6:07am clarke:

also, annie, i just passed through the asheville area, again, but this time i played in Cashiers, NC not asheville
Avatar 6:07am Sem:

A long time ago, annie. It was $100 (CDN) for the ticket, another hundred for the roomette.
  6:08am clarke:

also hit the cat's cradle in carrboro, nc. the train IS expensive - it shouldn't be, but it is super-expensive. but worth it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10am Jeffrey Davison:

good day to spamoni, Sem, duke, annie, clarke, Kevin_Ringwood_UK
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11am annie:

Avatar 6:11am Sem:

annie, I used this site as basic information fo some recent UK train travel. The traveler has this to offer about US trains: www.seat61.com...
  6:11am clarke:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13am annie:

  6:14am clarke:

@annie: why would you join AAA if you don't have a car? for the discounts, i guess??
  6:14am testingwithfire:

Good morning Jeffrey and Shrunkenfolk!
  6:16am David in London:

Hello Jeffrey and all you Shrunken groovers out there.
  6:17am clarke:

annie-ways, i was surprised that when i passed thru western NC, last week, that the trees were still bare on the mountains, almost as soon as i crossed the TN border!
  6:19am clarke:

through a friend, i was able to crash at his mountainside cottage in Sapphire, NC - the trees were completely bare, still. i guess perhaps that has changed in a week, tho.
  6:20am EG_Astro:

morning everyone. the rain has stopped!
  6:20am clarke:

  6:21am clarke:
