Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:21pm Martinibomb:

Hi Everyone. Sorry I went down this hole for like 20mins trying to figure out how to make couscous by hand but it waas difficult to google.. finally *hand rolled* got it
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:23pm Otis Fodder:

Hey Hay MB!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:23pm Martinibomb:

any themes today? or are you just playing whatever comes to mind?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:24pm Otis Fodder:

Freeform mix
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:24pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Hand rolled couscous? I'm intrigued!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:25pm Martinibomb:

yeah but you've got things about ocean and air going on? subconscious? @GG yeah like mongolian hand rolled couscous. Time consuming. I'm still trying to figure out if you can make the israli style by hand
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:26pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

My daughter just noted that the opening riff of The Idle Race track may have been (ahem) "acquired" by a certain 70s band. Blatant!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:27pm Otis Fodder:

MB - Ahhh, the ocean is coming out of Georgy's show. We are doing a hand off weekly now to blend.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:28pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

WOW! Mind blown. Just looked up the Mongolian couscous ... I had always assumed - erroneously - that couscous was kind of bits of wheat. I had no idea that it's ROLLED. Wow. I am deeply impressed by that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:29pm Kat in Chicago:

"Franslows Partie", haha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:29pm Rich in Washington:

I thought you were playing a France Gall 45 at 33 1/3 for a moment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:29pm Rich in Washington:

Oh. I see. Helps to read the playlist!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:30pm Otis Fodder:

Hardy sounds so good half-speed. I started by playing this by mistake and then went and played other songs and they are all so good! She can rock both speeds, she's amazing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:30pm Rich in Washington:

brilliant!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:30pm Rich in Washington:

trying to wolf down my lunch and do my show prep at the same time...
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:32pm Oliverrr:

haha ! .. same here .. I was all mixed up .. at first it sounded quite natural! .. like a honey voiced Bobby Vinton ..
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:33pm Martinibomb:

@GG yes.. I am deep in reading about couscous right now hehe I think I'm going to try making it. I've got a giant bag o semolina I need to use up
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:33pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I would love to know how that goes!! :-)
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:38pm Mr Fab:

Hey Otis! You've said that 5% of any musical genre is good. I now throw the gauntlet down before you: DIVAS! Barbra, Whitney, Celine, Mariah, etc. You still willing to stand behind the 5% rule? Methinks I've stumped you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:40pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

There's a lot you can do with Barbra! She had a very groovy phase :-) Played her a lot on LHT ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:40pm Otis Fodder:

Totally. Aretha is a DIVA, so is ELLA. Current diva Madonna has my vote too, still love Ray of Light. I know, I'm alone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:41pm Otis Fodder:

Mariah's first album is great imho too. Ha.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:42pm Mr Fab:

Oh man, see, I don't include Ella and Aretha. maybe because I like them!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:42pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Ray of Light was a fabulous album!!! I'll arm wrestle anyone who says different!!!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:42pm Martinibomb:

this track is right up my alley
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 3:49pm Martinibomb:

aren't there some covers of this motorcycle maniac? I feel like I've heard some other versions. maybe it's just that blues riff is eveyrwhere
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:50pm Otis Fodder:

MB - It sounds so familiar, I know. I was thinking the same thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:53pm Granny Spicy Tuna:

i keep missing interesting ELO tracks today, drat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:54pm Otis Fodder:

Hi GST, ooooh I will always play more ELO. Hooray!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:58pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

You know very well that pigeons are grasses! Dave would not be happy with you! lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:59pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Lieutenant Pigeon were massive in the UK - played at many a wedding reception as well to this day ;-) Featuring Rob Woodward's mum on piano :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 3:59pm Otis Fodder:

Ha, is Lieutentant Pigeon related, maybe a brother in-law to the Seagull family? I have seen that pigeon in the trash bins in the back alley, he's a messy one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:00pm Otis Fodder:

I love Lieutanant Pigeon! Totally new here, new discovery!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:00pm Mr Fab:

Yeah, covers of that "Moldy Old Dough" song are on lots of Moog/EZ albums
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:02pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

It's a strange thing about British DNA that at any large family gathering or function we are compelled to dance rhythmically while waving our arms in the air. "Mouldy Old Dough" fits the tempo perfectly. It's a hangover from "News Up Mother Brown" and those sorts of songs. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:02pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

News Up?????? KNEES Up!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:06pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Literally - you go to a family wedding in the UK and people start dancing and it looks like a Pathe news reel from the 40s. In the Underground while the bombs fall in the Blitz. The Swinging Sixties were a blip - we're all Cockneys at heart ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:07pm Rich in Washington:

Radio drammers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:08pm Rich in Washington:

I can't help but imagine Judson as a young Adam Sandler.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:11pm Krys O.:

Gobbidge Can
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:11pm Mr Fab:

"Ba-Dum Ba-Dum" shoulda been the b-side to "Mah Na Mah Na."
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:12pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm gonna catch up on the rest of today over the weekend :-) Have a FABULOUS rest of Friday everyone - cam't wait to hear more :-)
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:13pm Don-O:

Such "drama".....I guess....
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:13pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:15pm Rich in Washington:

Goodnight, GeorgyGirl!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:15pm Mr Fab:

Sandor Weisberger narrates a pseudo-educational porn record Otis posted on his 365 Project. He talks about woman's "ver-jie-ners." (I've been editing bits from it to drop into the Sheena streem.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:16pm Rich in Washington:

Oh nice! I had no idea!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:17pm Rich in Washington:

I try to play one of Judson's radio drammers every halloween.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:21pm Rich in Washington:

WOW! A Moog exercise album?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:21pm Rich in Washington:

Oh wow. It's Jean-Jacques Perrey!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:22pm Martinibomb:

yeh wish I had a copy of this. one o these days
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:22pm Rich in Washington:

What a great Midwest accent!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:23pm Mr Fab:

I have this album - ANOTHER one I oughta digitize for the stream! It's pretty much Perrey's "Happy Moog" album. With exercizing on top.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:25pm Don-O:

Looks like those ladies are running into each other on that Energize cover.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:27pm Rich in Washington:

Man. I would likely pass that Energize record up while flipping through bins, having no idea what it was...
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:31pm Don-O:

I wonder if there were black eyes after that!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:32pm Martinibomb:

i never get tired of this version
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:33pm Otis Fodder:

Mee too MB, meeee too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:37pm Krys O.:

Holy smokes! I work at a printing company and the hot stamp/laminating press makes incredible sounds. This is up my alley.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:39pm Otis Fodder:

There's really a record for every product! Ha.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:49pm Martinibomb:

@Otis my Fridays. Getup/Coffee/Breakfast/Paint/Listen to Sheenas/Paint/Listen to Sheena's/Work in Garden oh it's dinner time now. hah
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:51pm Martinibomb:

Hauntology! I forgot yeah that's good
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:51pm Otis Fodder:

That's a good day MB!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:52pm Martinibomb:

I feel like if I worked harder I could make something Ghost Box would want
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:52pm Martinibomb:

I've got too many ideas tho hard to prioritize sometimes I'm sure ya know what I mean
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:53pm Otis Fodder:

You could.... you could..
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:55pm Kat in Chicago:

Ooh I want to get that printing press record for a friend of mine who works in printing and is also a DJ!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:55pm Otis Fodder:

I do. 99% of my ideas on stickies go in the trash eventually. Maybe like 95%, but yea, a ton. So much time in the day meets priority list meets meh, cooking food sounds better.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:56pm Otis Fodder:

@Kat - 6 for sale, yay! www.discogs.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:57pm Kat in Chicago:

@Otis looks like one even has the inserts, or some of them
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 4:58pm Martinibomb:

I've been trying to stick to a daily routine more. And also all my little projects I time myself.. mini-deadlines I set a kitchen timer. Ok I got 30mins to get as far as I can on this thing... trying to get better at tracking long term projects I want to finish. That's the next step
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 4:58pm Otis Fodder:

@Kat - Oh you lucky devil! Or should I say, your friend will be lucky. What a sweet gift!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:00pm Kat in Chicago:

I just ordered one with all the inserts :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:00pm Otis Fodder:

@MB - Big fan of the 'priority list' the past couple of years. Trained (socked myself a few times) to stop saying I don't have time and instead move things up or down in order of importance. Probably why I haven't made a song in months, last thing was for your show, before that a year. All about listening and radio these days.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:02pm Martinibomb:

I figured out I can paint & listen to radio better than anything else.. so kill two birds with one stone. In fact the reason I love radio is because I dont have to decide what to play.. I can get alittle obsessed trying to find music while I should be working hahah better to just keep it on sheenas lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:03pm Otis Fodder:

@Kat - Yayyy! Love extras/inserts. The album is really great too, all solid jazz to percussion type tunes. The beat of the presses for sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:05pm Kat in Chicago:

@Otis It sounds like it's in very playable condition and I bet they could work it into a set
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:07pm Rich in Washington:

Karl!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:07pm Martinibomb:

Anyone here ever been Hypnotized?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:07pm Kat in Chicago:

Speaking of sets, I'm loving the current one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:08pm Otis Fodder:

Only by Reveen and other records. I think it may have worked, but I have no way of knowing for sure. Hold on, let me ask my cat Bunjee.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:09pm Otis Fodder:

@Kat - I listen to a lot of electro / cosmic / synthwave like this when working.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:09pm spacebrother:

As Otis is well aware, I've spread myself so thin that I can barely do a passable job with my own show. Kudos to all who continue to deliver a superior product on Shenna's.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:09pm Don-O:

Vocoder with hayfever!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:10pm Rich in Washington:

I am somewhat skeptical of hypnosis. I would like to be hypnotized into believing in hypnosis.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:10pm spacebrother:

Ah, Ra/eveen!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:11pm spacebrother:

I think hypnosis a thing, but the effectiveness depends on so many factors. Mainly the participants.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:12pm spacebrother:

Oh crap. The Lazar soundtrack. I went to the premiere of this and the after party. Partying UFO nuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:13pm Otis Fodder:

@spacebrother - This is my pal Oliver who did the soundtrack. He co-hosted the Vaporwave show here last year too. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:13pm Rich in Washington:

I am now starting to be more aware of how much doing another show is taking up in terms of time. In some ways, it's made me have to go through my collection more thoroughly, find things I didn't even remember that I had.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:13pm Martinibomb:

I've never been hypnotized but I've read up and it does seem to be a thing tho maybe not to the extent of a Donald Bellisario TV production. I read you're more attentive/focused rather than sleepy which is how tv makes it look.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:13pm Kat in Chicago:

Bunjee might already have you hypnotized, Otis. That toxo brain thing?
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:14pm Oliverrr:

Hi SpaceBrother ! .. from another SpaceMother ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:14pm Otis Fodder:

@Kat - He does, every day, with love.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:15pm spacebrother:

@Otis. Yes, I think you mentioned this to me about Oliver. On the soundtrack, Rourke sounded like he was drunk and talking through a wet rag.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:15pm Kat in Chicago:

awww!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:15pm spacebrother:

Hey Oliver!

@spacebrother - Ewwww gross, wet rag. Someone please dispose of that with gloves.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:17pm spacebrother:

@Oliver ...and amazing job on the music. Was it composed with the film, or before, or a mix?
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:18pm Oliverrr:

Cheers Otis ! .. Nice track to follow with - I am a Deux fan ; )
Ahehehe .. Rourke !! .. i was contemplating doing a Rourke megamix track , kind of like those Carl Sagan autotune tracks .. still a possibility !

Ooh, we used to listen to Lime at the Crazy Eddie's Greenwich Village store back in the mid-80s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:19pm Otis Fodder:

@Krys - I love LIME so much. Montreal darlings. That is so cool!!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:20pm spacebrother:

@Oliverrr - You should.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:20pm Oliverrr:

Thanks spacebrother ! .. Composed before , a little during , but all quite random , I just slammed out a bunch of tracks, with alternate instrumentals. There is another soundtrack by RedBlueBlackSilver as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:21pm Krys O.:

We used to spin 12" remixes of things like Bryan Adams' Let Me Take You Dancing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:23pm chresti:

Oh boy, funky reggae night!
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:23pm spacebrother:

  Fri. 4/19/19 5:27pm Germaine:

Woo! Will be the first time I've heard it:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:28pm Otis Fodder:

Hey Germaine! It's a really fun 7". Some funny bits when it's just the audio isolated from the visual filmstrip scenes.
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:29pm Martinibomb:

This is a sweet little tune. I just love electric piano and moog. Fave sound combo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 4/19/19 5:30pm Otis Fodder:

It's really not that hard to *make* money
Avatar Fri. 4/19/19 5:37pm Martinibomb:

I always cut myself on those filmstrips. I wonder how much kid blood those things racked up over the years?

And ponder the heartless nature of capitalism. Little tykes really learned a lot today.
