Some Hawaiian-tinged music on right now... Good time to mention that the black hole has been dubbed “pōwehi,” which means “this embellished dark source of unending creation.” https://t.co/Km2PDhKOZf

  7:09am testingwithfire:

And welcome John from Stockton!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10am Buddha of Suburbia:

This is so beautiful. Jeffrey Davison I said this a few months ago and I'll say it again, you should be a the music producer to film scores. You really have a gift. It's raining here in CT, which is soothing and compliments the music and vice versa. I've had a pretty strange and somewhat bad week...AND after 6 years someone from my past who I was once romantically involved with came out of the blue to ask to meet for coffee. It was ok. Weird, and awkward, but ok. It felt my Dinner with Andre, but the conversation was far less interesting. This music is so comforting. Like a cup of warm tea with creme in it. I needed this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11am Buddha of Suburbia:

Sorry for all the typos.
  7:11am John from Florham Park:

@Buddha hugs hope it is better next week for you
  7:12am winston72:

  7:14am John from Florham Park:

@Buddha raining here too and makes me want to go back to bed
Avatar 7:14am TDK60:

Having a bit of a hard week as I lived with my sister, her spouse, and 5 cats who moved out. Emptiness.
  7:14am John from Florham Park:

@Buddha your welcome
  7:15am John from Florham Park:

@TDK60 hope they did not move too far
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16am Buddha of Suburbia:

TDK60. Awww, you miss them. Who moved out? The cats? OR All of them? You're not alone TDK60. You have FMU.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16am annie:

oh, cool, i'm sallyoakley, i haven't stepped that far in, yet, but i will add you...and, about the blast from the past events, this seems to be the time for it. lots of karmic stuff...fascinating really. there's a clearing coming; exhausting, but welcome in the long run
Avatar 7:18am fm Mike:

True that. You have FMU :)
  7:18am John from Florham Park:

@TDK and during the week wake and bake too
Avatar 7:19am TDK60:

Morning Buddha. All 7. But, yes John they moved to just nearby, from Manhattan to Teaneck, NJ.
Avatar 7:19am fm Mike:

This music reminds me of the XRay Burns memorial to be held tomorrow. I'm afraid I found out too late that he passed, or else I would have upped and booked my flight to New Jersey. Now I'm too late, and I believe I'll have to hear it live over the air.
  7:20am John from Florham Park:

@TDK60 at least there is Sunday dinner
  7:21am testingwithfire:

@TDK that sounds rough. It is so true that WFMU is a bulwark against isolation. Thank you all for being here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23am Nulsh:

Mornin' John!
Avatar 7:23am TDK60:

Been enjoying contemporary versions of really old folk tunes, like this House Carpenter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23am Nulsh:

Mornin' TDK60!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24am Buddha of Suburbia:

TDK60. I feel for you. The city can be lonely. Glad you they don't live too far away. Your apartment sounds strangely large for NY standards. Have you thought of getting a roommate? Having someone to chat with every day can be a nice thing.
  7:24am John from Florham Park:

@Testingwithfire also great music you never hear on commercial radio or college radio
Avatar 7:25am TDK60:

Afternoon Nulsh there, along the River Clyde.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25am Jeffrey Davison:

hey ignatatus666, TDK60, John from Stockton On Tees, UK (welcome!), fm Mike.
Buddha (thanks...xx)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25am Buddha of Suburbia:

Sorry for the typos. I think I'm allergic to checking for spelling or grammar errors. It's a problem.
  7:25am John from Florham Park:

Hey nulsh
  7:26am John from Florham Park:

@Buddha your spelling seems all right to me
Avatar 7:26am TDK60:

Buddha, yes just got a new roommate. Just still odd to not have a furry mammal meowing in the morn.
Avatar 7:29am Johny Boy:

Thanks! BBC6 Music in the UK is a great station. The Freak Zone on Sunday evening between 6pm and 8pm is excellent if anyone wishes to check it out.
  7:30am John from Florham Park:

@TDK60 we do become attached to them
  7:31am ignatatus666:

Good Morning Jeff
Avatar 7:31am TDK60:

Johny Boy, yes, have been checking out Tom Robinson's show on BBC6 on occasion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32am annie:

@Buddha: there are no mistakes onthe FMU comments board, just clever re-writings
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32am annie:

Joycean, almost
Avatar 7:32am Johny Boy:

Good stuff!
Avatar 7:33am Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

Johny Boy, I found WFMU while looking for more music like Freak Zone. Lots of what they play on here would fit in to Stuart Maconie's show just fine
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34am Nulsh:

Oy vey! I have to split shortly. I'll catch the rest on Archives.
Thanks as ever Jeffrey.

good morning everyone. enjoying the show
Avatar 7:51am Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

annie, you might also be able to listen to BBC radio shows via the archive, which is called BBC Sounds. The TV version is blocked for people outside the UK, but it might be worth trying the radio version to see if it works www.bbc.co.uk...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54am annie:

Avatar 8:00am TDK60:

Avatar 8:01am Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

@JfFP, BBC Sounds is available as a phone app now, so check your app store if that's how you listen. I think it will replace the iPlayer, but both work
