  5:02pm P-90:

Welcome home once again, Jherweg. It’s been a while.
Avatar 5:03pm fred:

Jonathan! I was about to go to bed (which I should do, because I'm exhausted), but catching the *start* of your show for a change is just too appealing

The worst part of your being off the air is your being off the air, but not having your premium to look forward to is a dismaying close second
Avatar 5:17pm Jherweg:

Fred I’ll make you a one off
Premium every year if you really want ha ha .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20pm jkeigh:

Hello, great set so far.
Avatar 5:20pm fred:

It's not about me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Jonathan and fellow listeners! perfect music for a sunday evening! Greetings from the Netherlands.
  5:26pm Kudubundu:

Wow. This is great music for Sunday evening in the UK. I shall be staying right through to the end of the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm chresti:

Sounds good!
  5:31pm s:

amazing first set !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32pm osvi:

Blurred and Obscured is perfect for a Sunday afternoon of cleaning house.
Avatar 5:40pm fred:

I'm so tired: two festivals at the same time, 100% is more about contemporary art and dance (though coming from hip-hop, which is a fascinating process to me) and Sonic Protest. Which not only featured a really good Jandek show, but I also later saw him dance during another band's set. A cool moment
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm jkeigh:

@fred I'm Jealous. I looked up the Sonic Protest. Wow!
Avatar 5:49pm fred:

@jkeigh: Suzanne Ciani's sound was amazing yersterday. And The Coolies were so great.
Avatar 5:56pm Paul D:

Great show Jonathan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I'm all out of whack today. I'm blured and obscurred.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04pm jkeigh:

Man, I'm so upset that I have to go out..... this first hour was sublime. Lucky I can still listen for a while in the car.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm Jan Turkenburg:

Not laughing, just smiling, Jonathan ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar 6:43pm Jherweg:

Avatar 6:44pm slugluv1313:

which should not be controversial at all :)
  6:47pm benji:

People say we monkey around
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm Kudubundu:

Hi Jonathan. I need to explore the archive for your other shows if tonight is anything to go by! Also I agree with "fred". A regular slot would be good ..... Thank you for a great evening of music.
Avatar 6:50pm Jherweg:

People got so upset about that post, and i realize it was insensitive to post it the day the guy died, but man people can really conjure some self righteous hate and shaming . It was sort of tongue and cheek , lots of people sent me hate mail and a few unfriended me ... i was in a shame spiral for a couple days about it.......
Avatar 6:58pm dale:

dig this stuff. show-worthy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm Ike:

Social media makes fools of us all sooner or later, but some of us (like me!) more often than others. Or when you put an apostrophe in "Monkees"! LOL.
Avatar 7:03pm slugluv1313:

@ Kububundu -- YES! thank goodness for the archives . . . Jonathan's shows are awesome, i wish he still had a regular show too!
Avatar 7:04pm slugluv1313:

no shame in thinking for oneself, Jonathan
  7:05pm zpulpa:

@Ike, the Met just posted a video of Felder playing a double neck guitar in the museum and I think you need to see it.
  7:06pm socialmediadisliker:

right there with you Jonathan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm Switchblade Batman:

I feel you there @Jonathan, social media is THE WORST. When I toned down my FB usage I felt worlds better.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Fox:

Hallooooooooo, I forgot you were on today, Herweg!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm chresti:

This is my social media activity
Avatar 7:09pm dale:

i fell like winter time is when all the trolls are out because the weather is too bad to be anywhere else but online. i wouldn't obsess jonathan. say what you want about the monkees - you're entitled.
  7:09pm socialmediadisliker:

the founders of all these garbage sites are making their kids "screen free" because they know the whole project- from the devices down to the platforms- is unhealthy and therefore trashy
  7:10pm Buddha of Suburbia:

Hi Jonathan! Hi gang!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm Ike:

@zpulpa: Cancel the Met!
Avatar 7:11pm SheWolf:

Was enjoying the set until you're supposed deep thoughts intervened queue zzzzz....

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm chresti:

I see one problem already, I have the same water kettle..;
  7:27pm JakeGould:

Oh wow! Catching this late. Always good to hear you on the air.
  7:28pm Boods of Burbs:

Bye folks! Heading home..
  7:36pm JakeGould:

JHerweg is like the Shen Yun of Monkees opinions.
  7:38pm JakeGould:

Which would get you stabbed faster in Park Slope: Venting an opinion against the Monkees, Bob Dylan or the NYC plastic bag ban?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm queems:

just catching the end of the show, but it's great as per usual
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm Fox:

JHerweg: I wouldn't mind an FMU person. It's usually on the radio, anyway, so finding someone here would mean I don't have to explain to them that strange music is a thing that exists.
Avatar 7:43pm Jherweg:

I used to tend bar in Park slope, it was hell on earth.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm Ike:

Uh oh, it's another even more disgusting Cuomo power grab. Why do I even keep up with this stuff? Sigh.
  7:45pm JakeGould:

@JHerweg: My fave coffee shop in Park Slope is near a few bars on 5th Avenue and I am constantly shocked at how many privileged stroller parents are around those places. It’s crazy how that neighborhood is so weirdly suburban.
  7:47pm JakeGould:

@Ike: The problem with the plastic bag ban is that there should really be a stronger effort to recycle. Now with the ban, poor people are forced to buy multi-use plastic bags that are often just discarded as well and will end up in a landfill… Where a thicker non-recyclable bag will now be in the system.

Anyway it was a nice day outside even when it was rainy.
Avatar 7:48pm CrankyOldMisterLenny:

Man, this is working for me! First time listening to this show for some reason. It is just what I had hoped! I'm in Gainesville, FL where we sometimes here stuff like this LIVE, generally speaking in a small room where most people will be performing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Jonathan. See you next time.
Avatar 7:56pm slugluv1313:

wonderful show, Jonathan -- thank-you so much!
  7:57pm JakeGould:

Thanks for the fill-in JHerweg!
