Avatar 6:27am spamoni:

Hi Zetti i hope you're feeling good this morning to!
Avatar 6:27am testingwithfire:

Recurring pledges auto-renew, right... so I don't have to manually re-up?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29am diciassette:

selkies have the darkest eyes don't they
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33am fred:

@testingwithfire: They do, as shown by the radio/heart icons above your name. The only thing you have to do is select your swag. And consider making a one-time pledge on top of that, or up you pledge level, if you can afford it
I think Joe McGasko is the person to contact if you have questions about your pledge
  6:35am adrian in mpls:

@testingwithfire - they do autorenew - but you should have received an e-mail from Joe McGasko for swag selection, etc
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36am diciassette:

I can vet what fred said. I got an email, I picked my swag, and it was business as usual for my little black heart.
Avatar 6:40am testingwithfire:

Thanks everyone for confirming!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41am Jeffrey Davison:

spamoni: thank you (and glad you're feeling better)!
good morning diciassette, fred, adrian in mpls, Zetti...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41am fred:

@testingwithfire: If you haven't received that email, look in the spam bin for a message with subject "Your WFMU Pledge Has Renewed, Now Pick Your 2019 Swag". And contact Joe McGasko if you can't find it
Avatar 6:43am duke:

Good morning shrinkers
Avatar 6:43am testingwithfire:

My profile heart seems to have turned black. Not that it's inaccurate, but I wonder which 1 or 0 caused it ...anyway, off to ping Joe M.
  6:50am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Good morning Jeffrey and all other planeteers.
Avatar 6:52am twinoak170:

Good morning Jeffrey and everyone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54am fred:

@testingwithfire: The heart (like the name) changes colors depending on whether you clicked on the profile (the actual colors depend on the playlist, on this one it's dark blue or black if you have, red otherwise). It just means you visited your own profile page
Avatar 6:55am TDK60:

Good Saturday morning.
Avatar 6:57am testingwithfire:

@fred ah, OK. I edited my profile this morning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57am diciassette:

Wow wow wow visited link is the color of my heart
Avatar 6:58am testingwithfire:

@diciassette :-) I might have to set up a bot that visits my profile every few minutes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:00am diciassette:

So your profile name, the radio, and the heart are all in an anchor tag. The mystery is GONE
Avatar 7:02am testingwithfire:

@diciassette dammit, I thought a selkie might have been involved, but it was just bits and bytes all along
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03am fred:

@testingwithfire: Your heart will remain black until you clear your browser's cache of visited links. No need to get a bot into this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06am diciassette:

Unless it's going to vacuum! (I sure won't)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10am Jeffrey Davison:

good morning duke, Andrew in Etobicoke, twinoak170, TDK60
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11am fred:

@testingwithfire: Though if you really want your heart to be black you could start a Mechanical Turk task to have poor people do the clicking for you for a few cents while marginally enriching Bezos
Avatar 7:11am testingwithfire:

@fred I was joking ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13am Mr. Pumpy:

Good morning all. No more snow!

Hi Buddha! I'm driving a bunch of my musician friends to Okemos Michigan in a couple of hours, we are playing the Red Cedar Music Festival, I'm in two bands, looking at Accuweather now to see how much snow I have to deal with to get there :P
Avatar 7:45am TDK60:

Nulsh, givin' away your "UK" English to us with your "whilst" which we Americans rarely use! heh. Don't hurt your back.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am randyfrommichigan:

Hi Andrew in Etobicoke ... I assume it's the Etobicoke on the west side of Toronto?
Avatar 7:52am TDK60:

Nulsh, you're in Glasgow, right? Or in Gaelic called Glesga or Glaschu, eh?
Avatar 7:52am spamoni:

Jeffrey,is it true you will be co-hosting with Carol tomorrow ? A double dose of greatness !
  7:55am Manana:

The Burns baseball series has aged well. I was in the habit of rewatching parts of it on then MLB channel for a few years to help the winter pass. If the Indians had stayed the Naps they would have spared themselves the whole Chief Wahoo redaction embarrassment. 20/20 hindsight.
Avatar 7:56am Buddha of Suburbia:

How nice Randyfrommichigan! Be careful.
Avatar 7:56am Buddha of Suburbia:

TDK60, oh I know...colds take time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57am Nulsh:

Yup. I am in Glasga!
That's more pronunciation of Glasgow than any knowledge of Gaelic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57am randyfrommichigan:

thanks I will! Wish I could take my 4WD Jeep but one of my friends is playing a stand up string bass in one of the two bands so gotta take my van instead and it's only 2WD
Avatar 7:57am Buddha of Suburbia:

LOVE Jessica Pratt! I'm going to see Fenne Lily soon. She's quite terrific as well.
Avatar 8:04am TDK60:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07am dale:

  8:08am Elle Elle:

Good morning Jeffrey and all. Overslept after a hectic week.
@Spamoni I scrolled thru and saw you have been sleeping better lately - so glad for you! And thank you for thinking of me for breakfast again :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:10am randyfrommichigan:

@TDK60 it's a concert band festival ... here is link you can see the bands, I'm in North Oakland and Waterford bands
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:10am randyfrommichigan:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14am randyfrommichigan:

Each of the 11 bands play for approximately 45 minutes. After the concert, the band will go to the Band room for a clinic by one of the two judges, who judge the band during the concert. Always a fun time playing and listening to other bands.
Avatar 8:15am Zoot:

I sense Zimmy out there.Maybe Donovan from Glasga.
Avatar 8:16am TDK60:

A song about a song--Boots of Spanish Leather by Bob Z.?

spamoni: I'm on next Sunday with Carol.
Avatar 8:18am TDK60:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18am Nulsh:

Ooops. I should've typed 'Glesga'.
I got big fat clumsy thumbs!
  8:19am davefromtoronto:

morning randyfrommichigan!
  8:20am Elle Elle:

Regarding all the pledge heart and radio tech stuff: I have the heart when I check my own profile page, but it stopped appearing when I comment. They mistakenly gave me a radio after a couple of pledges approx a year ago. Joe McG did remove the radio. But I wasnt around for nearly a year and when I jumped back on I saw my heart was missing.
Hoping my pledges this marathon will fix all of that.
Avatar 8:24am twinoak170:

I hate the feeling of being heartless.
  8:25am John from Florham Park:

  8:31am Mark R:

This Cass McCombs album is one of the best of this very young year so far. Jeffrey, thank you for all the great artists you've turned me on to over the years, many of whom I would have never heard of without your show. You've been making my Saturday mornings beautiful since I moved east from Michigan in 2012.
  8:31am davefromtoronto:

@dave very cool, I wish I could get CBC radio 3 which I hear plays fantastic music but because of rights issues I can’t hear it on this side
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34am randyfrommichigan:

@davefromtoronto don't know if I ever shared any of my band concert videos but we have a professional crew record them so the quality of that YouTube video is pretty good

@davefromtoronto thanks I know we will kick brass! LOL
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36am randyfrommichigan:

thanks John! I love playing in a band today. Coincidentally I got a reminder from FB today that it was exactly 10 years ago today when I posted that I had joined a band again after almost twenty years of not playing!

  8:41am John from Florham Park:

Morning Melinda how are things in snowy Maine
  8:41am Manana:

John, you can fast-fwd thru much of the Buck O’Neil stuff. Burns apparently thought he was going to be a Shelby Foote but he rambles on sometimes.
  8:42am John from Florham Park:

Thanks for the tip manana
  8:44am davefromtoronto:

i should do it too. all that math is killing me...
  8:46am melinda:

Hi John, not bad. Haven’t gotten up yet to check on things.
  8:47am John from Florham Park:

@melinda have a Facebook friend from Maine and she is showing pics of them getting hammered by snow
  8:48am Mark R:

We got enough snow in NJ to bust out the snowblower, but I wouldn't say we were "hammered"--probably about 4 or 5 inches.
  8:49am Elle Elle:

Thank you, Jeffrey. I’ll be listening to the archive later, for what I missed this morning.
  8:51am John from Florham Park:

I know mark mark moved back to jersey just before thanksgiving and the winter was a lot less fierce then I thought it would be

@john no hammering thus far, but I think there was 3-5 “ predicted for today. Just grey and dry right now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am Nulsh:

That Matt Harlan & Rachel Jones song reminded me of Jackson C Frank's "Halloween is Black as Night" from the very start and I couldn't get it out of my mind. Nice song in its own right though!
