A FB friend suggested that It's A MMMM World was better than the last Avengers movie and that Jonathan Winters would easily play the Hulk.
  6:13pm
Martinibomb:

that would be fucking amazing! I love when Durante "kicks the bucket"
  6:13pm
Martinibomb:

well yeah and that scene with Winters tearing that gas station down I can totally see Hulk
  6:14pm
Martinibomb:

I sampled "That's a girls Bike" for one of my songs from that film when Winter's is on that little kiddie bike
Avatar 6:15pm
Don-O:

He also suggested that the Ethel Merman character would Loki...or whatever badguy/gal. Sorry I'm not upon things Marvel these days....or ever.
  6:18pm
Martinibomb:

Maybe with the new CG fx we can replace all the Avengers with actors from MMMM world?
  6:20pm
Martinibomb:

That Deepfake tech can totally do it

Oh man the true story soundtrack. I forgot about that and I was a real Talking Heads completist back in the day. wasn't Brave combo on it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24pm
Webhamster Henry:

My problem with it's a MMMMW is that too many bits are very quick cameos. And there's a real tediousness to it. But there's nothing wrong with a Jack Davis poster!
  6:25pm
Martinibomb:

I got to meet Jack Davis a few times. Super cool guy.
Avatar 6:25pm
Don-O:

Mr. Fab: Yea, Brave Combo has a track in the 'Sounds' album.
Avatar 6:26pm
Don-O:

Jack Davis does like to draw feet!

Avatar 6:28pm
Don-O:

Yup, this is a track from a audiozine from the IPRC center in Portland, OR.
  6:30pm
Martinibomb:

ohh okay! Crazy I didn't know they were putting CDs out??
Avatar 6:30pm
Don-O:

Well, ir's kinda sorta movie related through a video store....like I said, don't trust me with this 'movie' theme.
  6:30pm
Martinibomb:

I never knew about audiozines until now. how did i miss this?
  6:31pm
Martinibomb:

I think I know Mark Russell.. that name is really familiar
  6:31pm
Martinibomb:

What year did this come out?
Avatar 6:33pm
Don-O:

It think Vol. 1 same out over 13 years ago and I got it in a zine store in S. F. Vol.2 was 8 years ago.

I tried to go to the store to stock up and there was a line going in the store, a traffic jam leading up the the store, etc. People around here are in a panic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm
Rich in Washington:

Then met the wife, who needed to run her car down the hill to the nearby fire station, where those of us hill people park their cars when snowmaggedon happens.
Avatar 6:41pm

Sounds like summer time to us down here. We usually get ready for the visiting off-road freaks running over everything in front of them to get to the sand dunes in Oceana.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm

We're staring at the possibility of being snowed in for the better part of a week.

Well, I DID try to go to a Goodwill to look at records, but saw a Slowlooker who was moving so slow, I was unsure that he wasn't a human statue performance artist - just frozen looking at the same record for 20 mins. with his mouth hanging open like a dead carp.

Things must be tight between IPRC and KBOO. There's no such alternative centers like that in LA...or anywhere else I live....damnit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52pm
Rich in Washington:

Yeah, we used to be really tight with lots of alternative media. Still are, so some extent.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm
Rich in Washington:

The owner is now a very controversial city commissioner.
  6:53pm
