Avatar 6:04pm Don-O:

Yes, this has something to do with a movie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm Webhamster Henry:

Forbidden Zone II I think is in production!
  6:06pm Martinibomb:

really? that's not something I would have ever expected much like the inquisition
Avatar 6:06pm Don-O:

Is F. Zone 2 is in color?
Avatar 6:07pm Don-O:

Welcome to my failed soundtrack episode!!!
Avatar 6:11pm Don-O:

A FB friend suggested that It's A MMMM World was better than the last Avengers movie and that Jonathan Winters would easily play the Hulk.
  6:13pm Martinibomb:

that would be fucking amazing! I love when Durante "kicks the bucket"
  6:13pm Martinibomb:

well yeah and that scene with Winters tearing that gas station down I can totally see Hulk
  6:14pm Martinibomb:

I sampled "That's a girls Bike" for one of my songs from that film when Winter's is on that little kiddie bike
Avatar 6:15pm Don-O:

He also suggested that the Ethel Merman character would Loki...or whatever badguy/gal. Sorry I'm not upon things Marvel these days....or ever.
  6:18pm Martinibomb:

Maybe with the new CG fx we can replace all the Avengers with actors from MMMM world?
  6:20pm Martinibomb:

That Deepfake tech can totally do it
Avatar 6:21pm Don-O:

Forget this movie theme jazz, it's falling into a drum Casio machine land!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm Webhamster Henry:

DX7 Horns...
Avatar 6:23pm Mr Fab:

Oh man the true story soundtrack. I forgot about that and I was a real Talking Heads completist back in the day. wasn't Brave combo on it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24pm Webhamster Henry:

My problem with it's a MMMMW is that too many bits are very quick cameos. And there's a real tediousness to it. But there's nothing wrong with a Jack Davis poster!
  6:25pm Martinibomb:

I got to meet Jack Davis a few times. Super cool guy.
Avatar 6:25pm Don-O:

Mr. Fab: Yea, Brave Combo has a track in the 'Sounds' album.
Avatar 6:26pm Don-O:

Jack Davis does like to draw feet!
  6:27pm Martinibomb:

Did she just say Oregon quilting?
  6:28pm Martinibomb:

I don't understand what this is??
Avatar 6:28pm Don-O:

Yup, this is a track from a audiozine from the IPRC center in Portland, OR.
  6:30pm Martinibomb:

ohh okay! Crazy I didn't know they were putting CDs out??
Avatar 6:30pm Don-O:

Well, ir's kinda sorta movie related through a video store....like I said, don't trust me with this 'movie' theme.
  6:30pm Martinibomb:

I never knew about audiozines until now. how did i miss this?
  6:31pm Martinibomb:

I think I know Mark Russell.. that name is really familiar
  6:31pm Martinibomb:

What year did this come out?
Avatar 6:33pm Don-O:

It think Vol. 1 same out over 13 years ago and I got it in a zine store in S. F. Vol.2 was 8 years ago.
Avatar 6:33pm Mr Fab:

Well there's the Mark Russell who did those political satire songs on PBS...
  6:34pm Martinibomb:

oh i do know mark russell i've talked to him a couple times he did a book with a friend of mine.. shannon wheeler too much coffee man
Avatar 6:34pm Don-O:

I was a bit of a geek over the PBS version....good thing I got out of that alive.
  6:37pm Martinibomb:

Mark did a book called "God is disappointed in you" illustrated by Shannon wheeler.. pretty cool book/funny and worth pickin up
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37pm Rich in Washington:

Argh! jUst now got home. What a crazy commute!
Avatar 6:38pm Don-O:

Dig that title!
  6:38pm Martinibomb:

Damn Rich! It took that long?? must be crap traffic/snow/ice
Avatar 6:39pm Don-O:

Crap everywhere, I fear!
  6:39pm Martinibomb:

you know crap is one of my all time fave words :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm Rich in Washington:

I tried to go to the store to stock up and there was a line going in the store, a traffic jam leading up the the store, etc. People around here are in a panic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm Rich in Washington:

Then met the wife, who needed to run her car down the hill to the nearby fire station, where those of us hill people park their cars when snowmaggedon happens.
Avatar 6:41pm Don-O:

Sounds like summer time to us down here. We usually get ready for the visiting off-road freaks running over everything in front of them to get to the sand dunes in Oceana.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm Rich in Washington:

We're staring at the possibility of being snowed in for the better part of a week.
Avatar 6:42pm Don-O:

Avatar 6:43pm Mr Fab:

Wow, rich! time to explore the wonderful world of cannibalism. I've heard so much about it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43pm Rich in Washington:

Well, I DID try to go to a Goodwill to look at records, but saw a Slowlooker who was moving so slow, I was unsure that he wasn't a human statue performance artist - just frozen looking at the same record for 20 mins. with his mouth hanging open like a dead carp.
Avatar 6:44pm Don-O:

Ah! Cabin Fever o' plenty!!
  6:44pm Martinibomb:

I'm heading over to the homelss shelter to drop off blankets pretty soon. I heard they are not prepared at all for this
Avatar 6:46pm Don-O:

We're getting some rain, but THIS time it's not the heavy stuff....YET!
Avatar 6:46pm Mr Fab:

I feel for you guys, I really do. Do you know I have to wear a sweater right now? when will this nightmare ever end?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm Rich in Washington:

Rub it in!
  6:47pm Martinibomb:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm Rich in Washington:

If you hear me just incanting 'all work and no play..' for my next show, call for help.
  6:49pm Martinibomb:

... makes Rich a dull boy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm Rich in Washington:

I love IPRC! I used to record event calendar announcements for their happenings that aired on KBOO.
Avatar 6:49pm Don-O:

I hope the internet doesn't go out. Almost half the days of rain we get up here, the power goes out and the transmitter go POP. No power for an hour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm Rich in Washington:

I may not be dull. I may just need glasses.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm Rich in Washington:

(old British PSA poster)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm Rich in Washington:

Yeah, we'd be so screwed without our internet!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar 6:51pm Don-O:

Things must be tight between IPRC and KBOO. There's no such alternative centers like that in LA...or anywhere else I live....damnit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52pm Rich in Washington:

Yeah, we used to be really tight with lots of alternative media. Still are, so some extent.
Avatar 6:52pm Don-O:

Aw, and you'll miss interesting things like this!! www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52pm Rich in Washington:

I sure miss Reading Frenzy. It's no longer around, Martinibomb? Is that correct?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm Rich in Washington:

The owner is now a very controversial city commissioner.
  6:53pm Martinibomb:

That's correct no more ready frenzy and she helped found IPRC. I helped her with her kickstarter to get the new store front on Miss ave a few years back tho did an animated kickstarter vid
Avatar 6:54pm Mr Fab:

That "Books on the Bus" was great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm Rich in Washington:

That's cool, MB!
Avatar 6:54pm Don-O:

God, there were too many zine places opening up in LA in the early 90's. Treated zines like Pogs...the latest fab.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Rich in Washington:

Sad someone didn't pick it up and run it, or open something similar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Rich in Washington:

I loved, still love zines. They were our internet before the internet.
Avatar 6:55pm Don-O:

Up at the bat!! www.wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm Rich in Washington:

Thanks, Don-O!
Bringing this party downtown: www.wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar 6:57pm Don-O:

I still do zines!
  6:58pm Martinibomb:
