@Henry: The current trend is to name the new servers after instruments from anywhere, but that start with "gu" (because they're graphics card servers used for machine learning)

the 6th of march but the still "don't know about tickets yet".
- i guess they're waiting to see how many people click "notify me" to gauge how much they can charge.
...i probably can't afford it anyway.
incredible line-up though: Okkyung Lee, Susan Alcorn, Liz Kosack, Laura Ortman.
Avatar Wed. 1/30/19 4:41pm geezerette:

This can't have been recorded in 1928! Astonishing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 1/30/19 4:44pm steveo:

@coel I went to the union pool site and found tickets for sale for $12

Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 1/30/19 4:45pm fred:

@geezeette: Why not? I have a comp of music from the '20s that Ian Nagoski made years ago from 78s that is equally amazing
Avatar Wed. 1/30/19 4:49pm coelacanth∅:

ohhh, steveo i see. Thanks.
i didn't know where she was playing so my search was very general; and results not very productive. the site i got to is called "songkick".
Avatar Wed. 1/30/19 4:49pm geezerette:

Fred, just very impressed with excellence of sound quality, not actually doubting, rather exclaiming.

yeah geez i'm thinking about moving to brooklyn! (no i'm not.)

- but there's always something i can't get to; usually because i don't know until the day of and then it's sold out. it's at best an hour or 2 travel time each way for me.

BTW that last piece sounded really familiar to me, and that's because Wendy Carlos' Beauty In The Beast has a piece in that style. (Poem for Bali)
