  6:11am testimgwithfire:

@clarke I have had two small kitchen fires in the last year. No injuries or significant damage, but... nothing like living up to one's handle
  6:12am clarke:

did you have the name before the shame?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12am Sullivan Ballou:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31am annie:

not right now clarke, there are rumours and innuendo... so farjust chilly air, close to 35 and clear.
  6:31am clarke:

it's'a comin'!!
  6:34am clarke:

i must admit to having great envy of the whole Western Carolina region. i live in a little seaside town - which is great - but, guess we all want what we can't have..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38am Kevin-san:

Good morning JD and all... I had to drive to the Jersey City yesterday, yowser that Tonnelle Ave is something else!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41am annie:

well, clarke,i've been all over and every place one can settle will have its pros and cons. my main requirement is to be near water and to avoid blistering heat.
Avatar 6:42am duke:

Hello everybody
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42am annie:

i'm also becoming very sad with overgrowth and rampant sprawl..
  6:44am clarke:

speaking of being near water, have you ever gone down a bit on the blue ridge parkway to (i think) The Graveyard?
  6:45am clarke:

great mountain stream with waterfalls - very relaxing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48am Nulsh:

Morning folks!
  6:50am clarke:

actually Graveyard Fields:
highly recommend (i know you don't have a car)
  6:54am Morris:

Never heard of Little Mazard. nice tunes, reminds me on Stone Breath/Big Blood.
  6:56am clarke:

and, yes, agree that asheville (and ALMOST every other place) is getting awful sprawl-y. i am lucky to be surrounded by Nat'l Seashore land, so it hasn't hit where i am, now. YET!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58am Sullivan Ballou:

Agree about Bristol! I live hear and its all happening! Lots of great music and labels including my own:erstwhile.bandcamp.com... Sorry for shameless pug!
Avatar 6:59am duke:

Graveyard Fields? His show is on Sunday night.
  6:59am clarke:

sullivan - read UP! ^
  7:00am clarke:

gaylord is not chasing waterfalls!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01am Sullivan Ballou:

  7:02am clarke:

repeat: there is/was a band from bristol called Z+ or Zed Plus -- ever hear of them?? (asked above)
  7:06am clarke:

Z+ is my greatest bandcamp "discovery"!! any fan of this show would love 'em.
  7:06am David in London:

Yes, agreed, lots of good stuff coming out of Bristol. Thanks for the link Sullivan. That said, the best 'new' UK band I've seen this decade come from Reading, the Sun Skeletons. Now, I'm increasingly aged and hard to please these days, but they utterly blew me away with how good they were. A great clip of them can be seen at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3QgTYm_ohw
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06am Sullivan Ballou:

ah sorry, didn't see that. I know most of the bands active these days and never heard of them. Will try to check em out. Ta.
  7:07am upstate sean:

Sullivan: sounds good!
  7:12am clarke:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14am Sullivan Ballou:

@David, i'm not familiar with Sun Skeletons but a friend of mine put that show/ festival on. Will check it out after the show! Ta.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16am Sullivan Ballou:

Gotta 'leave the room' myself now. Enjoy the rest of the show everyone and have a great Saturday! Will catch up later. Great show as usual Jeff - many thanks!

The Planet hasn't Shrunken quite enough for me to get to all the amazing shows in NYC/NJ that you mention. I really got to get back that way before too long.

This Fiver is some interesting stuff.
Avatar 8:43am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Avatar 8:48am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Morning John
  8:49am John:

Granny will give them a listen too one of these days
Avatar 8:49am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Sorry for having red in my heading
  8:50am prudy:

thanks Jeffrey, for your wonderful show. I've been missing most of it as of late, so I'm grateful for the archives.
Avatar 8:50am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Hey Jeffrey
Boy is it cold in Toronto
Avatar 8:50am TDK60:

John, two NYC college stations are good: WKCR, WNYU. WBGO in Newark has jazz. Lots of places have good "left-of-the-dial" non-commercial listener supported stations like, say, KBOO in Portland Oregon; or WORT in Madison, Wisconsin. KFJC in Los Altos Hills, California at Foothill College, a good one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51am Nulsh:

Great show as ever Jeffrey! Thank ya'!
Bye folks!
Avatar 8:53am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Great show as always Jeffrey
I hope everybody stays tuned in for Double-Dip Recess!
Avatar 8:53am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Thanks Jeffrey
Avatar 8:54am TDK60:

.. I also listen to Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 sometimes. There's also Folk Radio UK which I think is more a website than radio, but good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am Jeffrey Davison:

oh, hey there prudy
Avatar 8:54am Zoot:

Granny,I used to live at 2386 Pine Street, listened to KJAZ.Not far from Fillmore.

  8:56am John:
