Can you believe the teens are almost over? Man, it still seems like shortly ago that I was looking at the year 2000 as some gleaming, distant future.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm Funky16Corners:

The Captain, Super Dave and Mean Gene Okerlund in the same day, all 76!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm Granny Spicy Tuna:

I was born 35 days before the date of the Album title.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07pm Funky16Corners:

Seven years and 13 days before for me.
Avatar 10:08pm Erica:

I know, right Larry? I hope this year doesn't become the next 2012 or 2016 where the Grim Reaper went on a rampage. I know people die everyday, but when so many deaths are reported, it causes people to be sad, fed up and conclude that the overall year sucks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm Funky16Corners:

Indeed. Even though it's certainly random, and noe of them were young, it's still weird to see whole chunks of your childhood slough off like that.
Avatar 10:10pm Erica:

Some of them were young, but it's usually due to suicide, murder or diseases, never natural causes.
Avatar 10:11pm Franco Twinkie:

Larry, Chresti and myself are in SF right now. Fifty one years ago when I was a kid walking around in this city, you could not escape Light My Fire. It cam booming out of every donut shop, pizza joint and hardware store.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12pm Funky16Corners:

It's a great record. I was a little too young to catch it the first go-round, but fell in love with it in the 70s as a teenager. Went through a serious Doors phase.
Avatar 10:12pm coelacanth∅:

2015 was nearly as grim as 2016, in this regard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12pm doctorjazz:

Hello Testifiers near and far!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm Funky16Corners:

Doc!
Avatar 10:13pm Erica:

Not as bad though coel.
Avatar 10:13pm Erica:

Hello doctorjazz!
Avatar 10:16pm Franco Twinkie:

When the first Doors record came out, my sister and the girl across the street would sit in the middle of the drive-way with a lit candle listening to it on a plastic toy record player.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17pm Funky16Corners:

That right there is a serious tableau.
  10:21pm chresti:

Hello Larry and testifires just had some mushrooms in clouds of dough!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm Funky16Corners:

Hi Chresti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22pm doctorjazz:

Hi Erica!
Avatar 10:23pm Franco Twinkie:

Oh man, I won't get even started on the first album by Love. Chresti will go running from the room, screaming.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm Funky16Corners:

Such a great band.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm doctorjazz:

That's the normal state of affairs with my wife when I put on music (runs out of the room
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm Funky16Corners:

Anyone get anything cool from Santa Claus?
Avatar 10:49pm Erica:

I got arts and crafts stuff, clothes, and plastic figures.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm Funky16Corners:

Creative stuff is always fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58pm chresti:

I liked the mushroom cloud song. Didn't run or scream at all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59pm Funky16Corners:

There you go!
Avatar 11:03pm coelacanth∅:

i dug that version of flying
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08pm Funky16Corners:

If you find the album pick it up. The whole thing is very cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10pm chresti:

Christmas 1969 at our house.
Avatar 11:18pm Franco Twinkie:

Missed the back announcing. Spilled a container of dope on the carpet, and pandemonium ensued.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20pm Funky16Corners:

Uh oh...still down on the carpet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21pm Funky16Corners:

It's funny, the Mrs and I passed through Northampton, Mass the other day and saw these cops walking around, only to realize they were tending to a very long line at the pot dispensary.
Avatar 11:23pm Franco Twinkie:

We're good. I saw Hampton Hawes in the band shell at MacCarther Park in 1974 on a Sunday after noon. Carol Kaye was on bass.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25pm Funky16Corners:

Wow! Very cool. Was it in the 'electric' format, ike these tracks, or acoustic piano?
Avatar 11:29pm Franco Twinkie:

He was playing a Steinway. Carol,Fender bass. Don't remember who was on drums. It was in the bright summer sun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30pm Funky16Corners:

Must have been cool to see him. He died not long after that.
Avatar 11:30pm northguineahills:

back briefly!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30pm Funky16Corners:

Hey NGH!
Avatar 11:31pm Franco Twinkie:

Well, He had some issues.
Avatar 11:32pm northguineahills:

I'm still working on the 1/4 ounce I got 18 months ago. (when I really want to fly, it's usually at a show/party, and someone else's, and I don't have to drive)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34pm Funky16Corners:

A once prolific consumer, I have not indulged in many, many years. If it becomes legal her in NJ, I will surely partake.
Avatar 11:36pm Franco Twinkie:

Waling thru the neighborhood on New Years Eve in an elevated state, all the Victorian houses are all gooped up with Christmas lights. It's very magical.
Avatar 11:36pm northguineahills:

It works wonders for my insomnia, but just one pull does it for me...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37pm Funky16Corners:

I can imagine. Christmas lights around here were subdued this year, or way, WAY too busy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38pm Funky16Corners:

@NGH - We were looking at the dispensary website, marvelling at the variety of options and strengths.
Avatar 11:38pm northguineahills:

Now, this is something I haven't imbibed in at least 5 years....
Avatar 11:40pm northguineahills:

There are four dispensaries in my town, unfortunately, medical here is THC-less and in oil form only... (there are more dispensaries here then the Orlando metro area [this a liberal town])
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41pm Funky16Corners:

There seemed to be a lot of differences in what medical and recreational customers were allowed to get
Avatar 11:42pm Franco Twinkie:

San Francisco is up to it's eyebrows in weed.
Avatar 11:43pm northguineahills:

Luckily, my sister-in-law has a an amazing connection in Orlando. It puts even what my buddy dealer in NYC has to shame.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45pm Funky16Corners:

It seems so odd in the midst of the Trumpist insanity that the country seems ot be getting sane about marijuana, though I suspect that has a lot to do with suits discovering that there was a lot of money to be made
Avatar 11:46pm northguineahills:

My bros. are centrist Republicans, and they are hardcore pro-MJ. (why yes, I am the proverbial black sheep of the family)
Avatar 11:52pm Franco Twinkie:

Plummer Park! Shitty little park in West Hollywood. Pete Jolly, L.A. session cat, no?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm Funky16Corners:

Yes, indeed!
Avatar 11:54pm northguineahills:

Thanks, Larry!
Avatar 11:54pm northguineahills:

Avatar 11:57pm coelacanth∅:

i feel like i saw that scene; and i don't see many movies.
-wouldn't know the name of it though.
Avatar 11:57pm Erica:

Very mellow, yet trippy show.
  11:58pm chresti:

Thank you Larry!
  11:59pm chresti:

Poinsettia Park is intensely shitty at times
  12:00am chresti:

  12:08am chresti:

There’s a theatrical element to San Francisco
