franco - sometimes i listen to the police scanner and this time of year it can get heavy with skiing accidents, despondents, traffic etc. not much activity this year though

i live 3-4 houses away from the local firehouse and the number of times the siren goes off jumps from maybe 2-3x/week in the summer to maybe 2x/day during a really cold period. i assume it's people who don't know how to use space heaters.

Dale, When I was at the grocery store on Haight street a little while ago, The guy at the cash register looked out the window at the gathering horde and sniffed "Amateur night, I'm going home to bed" I responded with "I think I'll make cookies" a young woman shrieked COOKIES!?! so much for a city hell bent on debauchery.
