You might like Exiled Records on Hawthorne. It's my favorite record store. Also Little Axe on Sandy blvd and Musique Plastique on Alberta are pretty good.

I do know that Exiled has loads of 45s. Not sure about the others, but I spend a fair amount of time going throw the 7" bins at Exiled.

Mississipi Records is very cool. They've got huge library card catalog type bins for 7" records. They're cash-check only for some weird luddite reason. They're also the record label Mississippi Records.

I am not sure why Jackpot Records has the rep for being the hipster's record store of choice, and making every single 'best record stores in the yada yada...' They're pretty lackluster. Very few used records, overpriced. But I think they're the record newbie's ideal record store. Very hip looking.
At least it keeps them away from the better stores..

There are probably scores of smaller boutique record stores that I know nothing about. I seldom get into town much these days and when I do, I usually hit the same old stores I am familiar with.
