  6:18am testingwithfire:

  6:19am clarke:

  6:24am Deacon Lou:

  6:28am Deacon Lou:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29am Ken From Hyde Park:

Big metal gates locked the entrances. I could just jump the fence if I needed to. www.nps.gov... (Not a current picture; no snow here at the moment.)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45am annie:

  6:46am clarke:

ah, well, greg let me open for him at a house concert
  6:47am clarke:

there was some winter storm that came thru there that night.... can't remember the name
Avatar 6:48am TDK60:

Been seeing *robins* in Central Park. That's not usual. Usually, they fly south for the winter. (NYC)
  6:50am clarke:

i thought it was The Mountain Xpress??
  6:51am Deacon Lou:

speaking of robins... just watched a folk horror from BBC called Robin Redbreast...was the inspiration for The Wicker Man...or something
Avatar 6:53am Zoot:

New Wicker Man movie much better than the original.
  6:54am clarke:

i think warmer/el nino weather has delayed a lot of bird migrations this season
  6:54am Deacon Lou:

indeed....dem bees tho
  6:55am Deacon Lou:

can't decide which drink to have to accompany my brekkie...yoo hoo or Manhattan special...
  6:56am clarke:

  6:56am Deacon Lou:

that's what I chose...we have great taste
  6:57am clarke:

Avatar 6:58am Zoot:

Deac,Yoo Hoo first, then Manhattan special after.
  6:59am Deacon Lou:

Avatar 6:59am TDK60:

  7:00am Cooh John:

Good morning Jeffrey and fellow planeteers on water or dry land. Starting my Saturday with a mmmmmmm, nice.
  7:01am Deacon Lou:

yeah I'm gonna have it after. so good
  7:02am clarke:

speaking of Bristol -- anyone ever heard of a short-lived combo called Z+?? or Zed Plus. they are awesome (as i discovered on bandcamp) but know very little else about them.
Avatar 7:05am TDK60:

Looked up 'Something Else Again' on Wikipedia- it says Richie did play sitar on that cut.
  7:06am clarke:

also that richie havens sitar part sounded VERY similar to the sitar part on Donovan's Fly Translove Airlines
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08am Jeffrey Davison:

good morning Zoot, Cooh John
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12am annie:

hehe, yes, it is the xpress.. that must-a been a fun night, though.
  7:13am clarke:

it was strange with the weather. but... the next night i played in a little town called Tryon, NC - VERY cool!!
  7:14am clarke:

it is where Nina Simone was from - i highly recommend visiting there, and nearby: Saluda
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15am LynnsBrother:

Good Morning on the last Saturday morning before the 2019.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16am Buddha of Suburbia:

This is so relaxing. Love it. My boss put me on the schedule for 9 days in a row after I was out for a week with the FLU. I fear I may be compromising my immune system working long hours. Listening to your calming selections before work this morning helps greatly. Thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21am Aaron Working In Newark:

Hiya Buddha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22am Jeffrey Davison:

Buddha, Aaron...welcome.
Buddha: your boss sucks.
Avatar 7:24am Zoot:

Switch from WFLU to WFMU.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24am annie:

saluda has a sweet little music venue, i was finally able to get down there this summer. i DO prefer smaller towns. and i have yet to make it to tryon, i avoid tourist traps...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25am Jeffrey Davison:

welcome, LynnsBrother
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26am Buddha of Suburbia:

Hi Aaron! I see you saw my birthday post for Nounours. Hope you don't think I'm a complete weirdo. Maybe just 85%. Thanks Jeffrey. Yes, it's not a good feeling. Someone was let go the other day for talking back to her, so, she picked me to take her shifts.
  7:28am clarke:

i don't consider Tryon to be a tourist trap - they just have their marketing down. lots of galleries, venues and a GREAT little theater that has been renov'd.
  7:30am clarke:

of the two i would say Saluda is more 'tourist-y' but not in a cheezy way. just the train museum and all.
Avatar 7:32am Zoot:

Looking at my Richard P Havens,1984 LP.Colin Walcott on sitar. And a Donovan Song.
  7:33am clarke:

oh wow, zoot, very astoot
  7:35am clarke:

JD is INTO Shimmering Moods!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36am annie:

yeah, i'll have to get back down there for a weekend and see if i can eliminate that bias..thanks.
  7:37am clarke:

annie, being carless, do you know much about that railroad line that runs through both of those towns we are talking about???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38am LynnsBrother:

Shimering Moods... sounds like a label Clay pidgon would think of.
  7:40am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Good morning Jeffrey and everybody else.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41am Granny Spicy Tuna:

Or Glimmering Zoods
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43am Granny Spicy Tuna:

so glad to be here to listen live once in awhile
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44am Jeffrey Davison:

Zoot: or Bimmering 2002s
Avatar 7:46am Zoot:

Bought a 2002 in 1972.$3,000
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46am annie:

as if, clarke; passenger rail is shabby here. the train is not well-supported for travel.. you'd think it should be... greenville is the closest stop...oh,and the place i wentto was The Purple Onion; wonderful layout
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48am Jeffrey Davison:

Zoot: yeah, they were about the price of a larger American car, like an Impala. A Nova was more like $2400 I think. I've owned 2002s...sigh...what a great little car.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48am LynnsBrother:

@ Jeffrey Davison lol.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49am annie:

chevy rocks.
  7:49am Ergodos:

This really recalls Arthur Russel in way that I love. Beautiful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50am testingwithfire:

Jeffrey, I marvel at how the flavor of every one of your shows is just a little different from the last. Thank you for doing what you do.
  7:51am clarke:

he's TEST-ifyin'!!!! i agree!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52am Granny Spicy Tuna:

what @testingwithfire said
Avatar 7:53am TDK60:

annie: "the train is not well-supported for travel.." yes, that's our "great" country.
  7:55am clarke:

there should be trains EVERYwhere!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57am Granny Spicy Tuna:

i will never catch up with WFMU, even if i listened to every stream all the time and several archives for garnish
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58am Granny Spicy Tuna:

believe me, i've tried
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58am Buddha of Suburbia:

Bye everyone! Gotta get ready for work. Hi and bye Granny Spicy Tuna, if I don't chat with you on Monday then have a Happy New Year! Happy New Year to all of you. Much blessingsx
Avatar 7:59am Zoot:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59am annie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01am Buddha of Suburbia:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08am annie:

i might do that...
  8:10am clarke:

Avatar 8:11am Zoot:

Had a dream of Leonard Cohen singing the Sounds of Silence. Was good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11am Jeffrey Davison:

Zoot: the Bavaria is scarce now. My dream car is the 3.0CSi. There was a copper color. Saw one 2002 in that color, and a 3.0 on sale online. $36k I think, but it may have been more.
  8:14am clarke:

the 2002 seemed a bit like a little jeep. ???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16am Jeffrey Davison:

clarke: ha! I dunno, maybe. A fast little jeep, if that.
  8:18am clarke:

yeah, they were just kinda like all-terrain'ish. maybe the crazy kid who had two of them, when i was growing up made them INTO jeep-things.
  8:19am clarke:

he was always taking off across lawns'n'such
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21am Jeffrey Davison:

clarke: sounds like my brother Ron, though he had a cherry 1972 Chevelle. Best driver I ever knew.
Avatar 8:21am TDK60:

Happy New Year. Hope things get better in 2019, but they probably won't, unless people organize, raise hell..
  8:22am clarke:
