The car is bouncing!

  9:14pm Julie:

please. . . would someone explain this show to me?
  9:14pm katharsis:

  9:15pm chresti:

Thanks TDK! Tamales safe in the trunk
Avatar 9:16pm TDK60:

I can't attempt to explain this show Julie. But some call us listeners "Bluminati" as if we're illuminated or sumthin.' Others see the DJ as a drill sergeant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm Ike:

@Julie: www.reddit.com...
  9:17pm sweet cheri:

greetings Daniel and everybody here, I want to wish you all a very happy and healthy new year!!
  9:18pm chresti:

Hi Julie- it’s a wonderschmapps show
  9:19pm chresti:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Good evening, Bluminiks. Time to smush some dumpsters against each other.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm fleep:

Julie, we are moving out of the solar system and into deep sonic space. You may hear bursts from the engine room now and then, this is normal.
  9:23pm chresti:

Haha Ike!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Daniel; Bluminaries
Avatar 9:25pm TDK60:

Julie, one might say it presents the outer reaches of rock and electronica but these might be too confining as labels. Maybe the disc jockey can explain the show during a break, maybe. I can't seem to conjure any more thoughts now, but it is awunderschnapps. show; that is guaranteed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm Granny Spicy Tuna:

howdy, all. sounding good, thanks Daniel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28pm coelacanth:

gabba gabba hey one of us
  9:31pm Julie:

LOL, thanks TDK , Chresti,
Ike. I guess I will listen to it for a while
  9:33pm Julie:

thanks again TDK and fleep
  9:35pm chresti:

Wee! On the bay bridge!

Greetings one and all! A lil slow on the boards this evening! Happy to have ya on onboard! Welcome!!! Ultimate Friday of '18 sounds good, p-90!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48pm cklequ:

Any cat experts here tonight?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50pm melinda:

I'm a cat enthusiast but not necessarily an expert.
Avatar 9:52pm Billy Jam:

b z, glad ya dug! Howdy Granny Spicy Tuna! chresti, drive safe now, ya hear? Julie, glad that you're sticking around!
Avatar 10:02pm Billy Jam:

@chresti - welcome to the Bay Area
  10:02pm katharsis:

19 is one of my favorite numbers
  10:06pm strawberries:

2018 was brutal and one of the hardest I can remember in my lifetime - personally and collectively. Intuitively I feel 2019 will much better, but that could be wishful thinking!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm Daniel Blumin:

strawberries, I certainly hope it's not wishful thinking! Fingers and toes crossed for you and the world!
  10:20pm strawberries:

Ha yes fingers and toes crossed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm Jack Mello:

nothing like a track with speed changes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm Jack Mello:

...and merry xmas
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26pm Ike:

@cklequ, why, do you have an interesting cat-related question? I'll give it a shot.
  10:26pm Jocelyn:

Strawberries, No wishful thinking! Use positive thinking! It's going to get better.
  10:26pm b z:

And this has been utterly mindblowing.
  10:27pm chresti:

Thanks! Billy Jam!
We’re here, at my sons place, it’s a mess and I don’t care! Glad to be here.
  10:29pm Jocelyn:

Strawberries, it's been brutal for me too! But I refuse to stay in club bummer so 2019 will be better because I choose happiness.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:31pm cklequ:

@Ike - I'm thinking of adopting. The feller i've got my eye on is older (9) and has heart murmurs.
  10:32pm strawberries:

@Jocelyn Sorry to hear, yes choose happiness!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm Daniel Blumin:

Jack, you mello fello! Happy coming of the 19! Jocelyn, damn straight!
  10:41pm Jocelyn:

Strawberries, sorry for being overly cheery but I want good things for you. You can make it better.
  10:42pm JakeGould:

Hello Daniel!
  10:43pm Jocelyn:

Ck, I had a cat with murmurs live to fifteen. He was 8 when I adopted him.
  10:43pm strawberries:

I know what you mean Jocelyn. Some things are out of our control, but overall I believe we can make things happen with positive thinking. So we're on the same wavelength. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43pm coelacanth∅:

cklequ my mother has adopted older cats for years, figuring they'd have a tough time finding a home. she's sworn for the past couple years though that she wont adopt another because she figures she'll die before they do and then nobody will take them. the last one just checked out and i'm trying to convince her to get another cat, that someone will tale it if she goes first.
she needs a companion.
...for what it's worth, she's had very good experiences with old cats.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44pm Daniel Blumin:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm coelacanth∅:

(..."someone will TAKE it"... i'm not sure what it is to "tale" a cat, but it might hurt!)
  10:49pm katharsis:

I like this
  10:50pm JakeGould:

@Ike: I will always love this line, “Is that the guy that plays the alarm clock for two hours? I'll never understand how people are into that. I was talking to a friend about that show and how I hate it and he was like, ‘No way! That show rules! The other day he played a slowed down echo of two dumpsters crashing into each other for 15 minutes. It was amazing!’”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53pm Ike:

Me too @Jake. Might as well just shut the whole series of tubes down now: peak Internet has already been achieved. No use trying to top it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53pm cklequ:

@Jocelyn/coelacanth - Thanks for the input. You've convinced me. I was looking for an older cat because i assume they're less likely to be adopted (and murmurs probably aren't helping his chances of finding a home).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56pm fleep:

A Certain Ratio is a phrase from Eno's True Wheel. Coincidence?
  11:00pm JakeGould:

@Ike: Ha! Fabio played some track that prominently featured some beeping that sounded like a truck backing up yesterday. I hated that so much!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:01pm coelacanth∅:

a wfmu person said that the name was in fact in honor of the Eno line, but i don't know if it's fact.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02pm Ike:

@Jake, me too! But I refused to let myself turn it off. Such is the way of WFMU!
  11:04pm JakeGould:

I was just lazy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06pm Ike:

@cklequ, re: murmur cat, I couldn't have put it better than Jocelyn and Coelacanth did! I don't have experience with cats with murmurs but if you adopt an older one, you're a real mensch IMHO. Older cats have a lot of trouble finding homes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09pm cklequ:

@Jake - Now that I've seen that quote I just know I'm gonna spend much more time than I should hunting down that dumpster crash track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12pm Daniel Blumin:

cklequ, I think the track just might be apocryphal!
  11:13pm Jocelyn:

My last 4 cats were all seniors. They've all been a great presence in my life.
  11:26pm JakeGould:

@Ike: You been to “Miss Dong Burger” on 54th Street. I laughed when I saw the sign, but it has some good reviews.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37pm coelacanth∅:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41pm Daniel Blumin:

Thankses, coela!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44pm Ike:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49pm Daniel Blumin:

Chop! See you in the new year!!! This track will clear the '18 right outta here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm Chop Scott:

Wishing everyone a spectacular 2019!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56pm fleep:

Killer show, Daniel, great night.
