In 2019 I resolve to put my wife first instead of myself and the kids.
  3:06pm jess:

mine is to not pass so much gas. not sure what I'm eating to cause it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm chris:

hi, Irwin and folks. here's to easy to fulfill resolutions!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Lunchbox3030:

hey everyone :) my resolution is to actually learn how to play music rather than just sitting about listening to it
  3:11pm Laura L:

I might resolve to be more resolute in 2019. Maybe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm zopa:

I resolve to instantly regret every decision I will make.
Avatar 3:16pm Wild Neil||Peace All:

@zopa-yeah, why procrastinate, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm zopa:

@wild neil-some habits are harder to break than others. might as well turn it into a positive.
  3:27pm Mr. B:

Great show, man. What is the name of the tune playing in the background?
Avatar 3:30pm Irwin:

"Syd Barrett" by Rainbow Girls
  3:30pm jess:

Avatar 3:37pm mb:

Irwin. Thanks for the work you all put in on the new Sun Ra Arkestra release. Very enduring crap with great liner notes. A paean to crap if you will.
Avatar 3:39pm Irwin:

Which one, MB? I've worked on practically every Sun Ra release in the past five years.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Ken From Hyde Park:

The crap poster reminds me of the George Carlin bit about stuff. Where you need to have somewhere to put all your stuff and you go on vacation and bring a subset of your stuff.
Avatar 3:45pm Irwin:

The guy who takes care of my cat when I travel -- it's sometimes impossible to figure out his phone messages thru the typos. He texts like he has paws.
Avatar 3:46pm mb:

@Irwin: The album Of Abstract Dreams that was just released on Monday
Avatar 3:46pm Irwin:

Hello, Autumn kitty. And Autumn kitty-feeder.
  3:47pm bethie:

merry in-between Christmas and when you return crap to the store week. :)
Avatar 3:47pm Irwin:

That was actually issued earlier in the year on CD by Strut. I just issued it digitally thru Bandcamp. Think I did some of the audio restoration on that, but Strut did most of the rest of the work.
  3:50pm katharsis:

Hellos. More finger cymbal! More!

Kids In the Hall skit - guy paying sexy women to dance - gets more & more destitute - down the social ladder in stages - ends up in alley paying another hobo to boogie - playing harmonica maybe...how to websearch such a thing...
Avatar 4:00pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

BeachBoys aren't 'Kewl'.
Never gave a toss about that.
Avatar 4:01pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...doors aren't 'Kewl' @ FMU
...guess whut...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Aitch:

Read The Diceman, Irwin. Let the dice decide how to procrastinate.

Avatar 5:07pm Archivist Vivian:

Oh, Hey.
Avatar 5:08pm Irwin:

^ The Doctor is in the house.
Avatar 5:08pm Archivist Vivian:

Really glad to finally catch one of your broadcasts live. I was recording a Christmas song in Tiny Tim's voice before. Merry Day-After-Christmas everyone. Have fun cleaning up wrapping paper and vomiting out fruitcakes.
Avatar 5:09pm Irwin:

Thank you for "Mr. Snuggles"!
Avatar 5:10pm Archivist Vivian:

No worries. My friend gave me an early 80s Casio Keyboard. I'm planning to do a really cheesy version for an upcoming project I shan't speak of.
Avatar 5:12pm Archivist Vivian:

I see Three Dog Night was played before! A fun fact about them - Incorrect Artist Neil Dick went to high school with TDN's Chuck Negron.
Avatar 5:12pm Archivist Vivian:

Neil has a 7 minute song about Chuck where he sings the chorus at least 12 times.
Avatar 5:12pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...or MobyGrape...
Avatar 5:13pm Archivist Vivian:

PS Irwin, Wetransfer E-Mail should have been sent for the future.
  5:14pm berbo:

3DN* is on tour! They are playing Madison in January.
(* some incarnation of them, anyway).
Avatar 5:16pm Archivist Vivian:

If I was more organised I'd see them there.
Avatar 5:16pm Irwin:

I remember being in Reno in the 1980s and there were all these '60s bands playing at various venues -- and it seemed as if the only original member in each was the drummer. I think one billboard said "Buffalo Springfield Featuring Dewey Martin!"
Avatar 5:18pm Archivist Vivian:

There was a whole celebration of that in the 80s, 60s music. The guy who sang "Mission Bell" hosted a tour of 60s acts that featured people like Tiny Tim, Bobby Boris Pickett and Al Wilson (Of Show & Tell fame)
Avatar 5:19pm Archivist Vivian:

Richard Nader's 30 Years Of Rock & Roll Tour. It was Tiny's stint after he worked in the Circus.
Avatar 5:20pm Archivist Vivian:

It lasted from around 1989 to at least 1995.
  5:20pm Rstvmo:

hey! Honey Lantree RIP. Honeycombs shedrummer Joe meek. Gutted.
Avatar 5:24pm Archivist Vivian:

This reminds me of Man Man a bit.
  5:26pm katharsis:

Thank you.

Thanks for your very fine 2018 finale, Irwin!
Avatar 5:54pm Irwin:

Thanks to all for lending your ears. I will return them someday.
Avatar 5:55pm Archivist Vivian:

This song is giving off so many different emotions.
Avatar 5:55pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

To know all this - & then to sequence it. It's appreciated.
