Avatar 3:03pm Sem:

Bringing beginner mind to the next hours. Hello, David, Ruth, the Ridgewood collective, and aficionados.
Avatar 3:08pm david w:

Henry, I apologize for cutting into that piece, but it was a tease right? And hello to chresti, Sem,, and poor damaged Stanley (you can take your fingers out of your ears now).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Webhamster Henry:

I used to know Melissa Gould pretty well. (Curran's collaborator for a lot of pieces).
Avatar 3:10pm david w:

I remember Melissa. They were quite the pair.
Avatar 3:12pm northguineahills:

I believe Alvin still is in Rome today....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm chresti:

Avatar 3:21pm david w:

On Alvin's behalf, thanks, chresti. The adventure continues...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm steveo:

hullo. sounds good, cap'n.
Avatar 3:23pm david w:

Hey, steveo. Italian 101!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm steveo:

the only italian i know is spanish and a little french
Avatar 3:31pm northguineahills:

I have enough trouble going from Mexi-Spanish to Castillian Spanish, then there is Portuguese..., Sicilian Italian is easier for me to understand then Tuscan. French, my brain categorizes it as a total different language group even though I know they are all Romance languages (forget about Romanian).
Avatar 3:33pm northguineahills:

The world needs more toy pianos...
Avatar 3:34pm david w:

Nice, ngh. The only thing I have left from my Italian class in music school is the accent, and a love of true balsamic.
  3:45pm Funky16corners:

This reminds me of a Moondog piece where you can hear steamships in the background
Avatar 3:45pm northguineahills:

Supposed to get down to 34F/1C tonight, wearing a hoodie in my office (cold for FL)(56F/13C right now).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm Ike:

I can dig this.
Avatar 3:46pm david w:

Ah, Larry, yes. Those avant-gardists and their ship horns!
Avatar 3:48pm Sem:

Avatar 3:52pm geezerette:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm chresti:

Kind of chilly for these parts-@57 degrees- LOVE IT! have not needed a sweater since last January in SF
Avatar 3:53pm northguineahills:

who was the composer that amassed a ton of ships to do a performance in a bay w/ ship horns, brain's not working.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm chresti:

I love fog horns
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm chresti:

geeze :)
Avatar 4:00pm david w:

oh, ngh. I'm blanking. Is it this: The Harbour Symphony was conceived for the first Sound Symposium in 1983 by Newfoundland-based architect Joe Carter. He enlisted musician Paul Steffler to write a series of compositions for ships’ horns.
  4:03pm Stéphanie:

OMG, this sounds like drones flying around!
Avatar 4:03pm geezerette:

Chresti, brrrrr... :)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm chresti:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm Stanley:

Wow. It's not often I'm 'challenged' on this show. But I have to admit this piece is up there. (But I ain't giving up on it)
Avatar 4:24pm david w:

Stanley, you should hear the whole 70 minute version!
Avatar 4:32pm northguineahills:

@steveo: I didn't even see the song/album title, I just thought, is that a shofar I'm hearing, and I saw "ram's horn" in the comments description and went for it.

Oldest English pun since the early 20th c.
Avatar 4:33pm geezerette:

Been imagining this as the music robots listen to as they work without humans in a "fulfillment center".
Avatar 4:39pm david w:

Chewing on that one, geez. Perceptive in a silicon-sensitive kind of way.
Avatar 4:42pm geezerette:

Ha, David, I don't know what I mean either.
Just mind movies.
Avatar 4:42pm geezerette:

...movies in my mind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm steveo:
