DJ JC. Howdy. I'm here for the harsh jazz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04am Booz:

OK let's kick it. (Man, Grace Slick always takes me back to the Sesame Street vocals she did.)
Avatar 12:07am Hams:

ah, ol' spread.
  12:07am Dean:

Lemme just say that the first Hot Tuna record was recorded three block from where I presently live. The joint is now an auto repair shop.
Avatar 12:10am Hams:

very cool.. spread does a great hot tuna cover, "genesis".
Avatar 12:13am Jeff Conklin:

Didn't know they covered HT. Cool.

Avatar 12:27am Adamsworth:

Avatar 12:30am Adamsworth:

Apparently Bostrom the drummer has said they were mostly doing coke in the the studio after Up On The Sun... I still like all the SST albums though, and some songs after that
Avatar 12:34am Adamsworth:

  12:35am MONEYBAG$:

Well who doesn't like 80s dead
Avatar 12:36am Adamsworth:

no one that's who, ha ha
Avatar 12:38am Adamsworth:

Lisa/Liza sounds to me like my personal favorite Cat Power era had evolved to still being my favorite style...Respect to Chan though....
Avatar 12:39am Hams:

yep, i'm kind of fixated on late '80s dead. brent mydland & just the whole appearance of the band.
  12:39am MONEYBAG$:

Avatar 12:40am Hams:

Avatar 12:41am Adamsworth:

  12:42am MONEYBAG$:

Avatar 12:42am Hams:

Avatar 12:43am Adamsworth:

Avatar 12:43am Adamsworth:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53am mb:

Avatar 12:54am Adamsworth:

  1:10am Dean:

There's a house in a neighborhood a few blocks away on the sidewalk of which is a fish. Word has it Hot Tuna lived there.
  1:15am Chicken of the Sea:

But, I don’t mind if you’ve got some old stinky Wet Tuna laying around.
Avatar 1:16am Jeff Conklin:

Here's the thing...I pick the records, you listen. It's a good system that's been working for a while ;)
  1:23am Chicken of the Sea:

Oh well, I hear better things to do calling.

  1:32am Chicken of the Sea:

It was all in fun, man.
I used to get through every week just to enjoy your show. But I just don’t have time for the attitude.
Avatar 1:32am On the Yazoo:

I love WFMU so much that we can see this, thank you Jeff Moore!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm jmr3:

somewhere out in bootsville there are 2 or 3 recordings of Dave Schools and Curt Kirkwood playing 15 minute acoustic versions of Up on the Sun. Schools was touring with Jerry Joseph and touring with Curt who was doing solo acoustic sets. Somewhere in the NW. This was sometime while Cris Kirkwood was in the grips of his addiction. Maybe 2001. Maybe message me if you know about these?
