I'm to call back next week if there is any progress. Thanks for asking, Jocelyn. (It may come to an IV). I'm afraid to take my shoe off, as I may not get it back on again.

Actually, that Charlotte Dos Santos cover is prime as well.

Avatar S.B. Boomer: Marathon 2022 Swag For Life Member 4:57pm JtotheK:

@Linda Lee - once 45s are in demand in various scenes (northern soul/mod/deep funk/sweet soul) the prices sky rocket (even more so if they are in demand in multiple scenes at the same time). and i dream of finding them in 50 cent bins.
  4:57pm Jocelyn:

NGH, They want you to call back next week? What if it's MRSA? That's not cool at all. You shouldn't be in pain.

Sheila are you encountering any of the millennial "I love vinyls" crowd discovering your show? I worry for the youth. Except for the youth who are listening.

Whoa, this Springsteen cover.

Rob, we were talking on FB about how the lyrics to this are really kind of creepy in a PTSD stalker kind of way.

@Cecile: Fortunately English is not my native language, so usually I go for the music and not for the song text. There are exceptions ofcourse, but with Spingsteen's original I just love Nils Lofgren's guitar
Avatar 5:04pm Cecile:

Linda Lee, yeah a lot of love songs are like that. But there are certain ones like that one, and Ambrosia's "How Much I Feel" that couch some really disturbing stuff in pretty music.

hello Sheila B. and everyone!
so loving that i am able to listen to your show today -- have got to check out more Kathy Heiderman (among others!) -- HOW did i miss her in 1976? fantastic song!
for Philadelphia -- i could easily spend a whole day in the Philadelphia Museum of Art -- Dorothea Tanning's mesmerizing "Birthday" is there :) . . . and yup, you too can take selfies in front of the ROCKY statue! the Museum also has some reduced/free admission days and times, but i do not remember what they are
the Mutter Museum is also there -- have not gotten there myself yet, though . . .
happily there are a whole bunch of record stores in Philadelphia!!! just do not recall where they all are :(
V-Street and Vedge are top-rated vegan restaurants -- unfortunately they were not open until dinner (when we had to leave) but they both should have brunch on weekends (yup, being vegan, we were looking for this)
so, we ended up at Hip City Veg, which has a number of locations in Philadelphia -- pretty decent food!
and while there, a lovely woman sitting next to us recommended the tehina shakes at Goldie's and OMG YES!!! there are AMAZING!!!
i WISH i had gotten the woman's name -- or something! -- so i could thank her! YES, people really are friendly in Philadelphia -- HAVE A BLAST!!!!!!!
  5:31pm Russt.44:

I wonder if the Maria M record is Lenny's. It's so great
  5:31pm EarlyMorningInSeoul:

@Jocelyn you can just abbreviate it as EMIS, or much simpler, my actual name is Greg. I’d love to do a kpop sequel. Plenty of other awesome songs I’ve discovered!

Molly Burch and Your Smith sounding beautiful here, more great 2018 tracks. As a person often stuck for hours with only fm radio at work, I must say I don't mind the mainsteam, I think there is some good in there.
