Postwar atmospherica. High bop modernism and Afro-Latin sounds, twilight exotica and soundtrack moods, soul stompers and weepers, hypnotic R&B and blues, mystical '60s pop, lonely country, lonelier rock 'n' roll, instrumental weirdness, electronic creaking. Bringing worlds beyond into the worlds at hand.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm doctorjazz:

Just got home, ready to Flame On!
Avatar 10:08pm still b/p:

Spike Drivers...we were jus talking about Spike Jones. Portland Town...i live in one. Two minutes after I was trying to check info on the Alice Cooper show I just mentioned in final comments, a buddy who's in New York tonight sent me a pic of Beacon marquee: "#AliceCooperBeacon."
Avatar 10:08pm TDK60:

..this Spike Drivers cut is great! I hereby decree a Spike Drivers Reunion Tour. Have your people get back to my people, in the morning.
Avatar 10:08pm coelacanth∅:

Avatar 10:11pm Little Danny:

Hay JayD! Thanks!
Avatar 10:13pm TDK60:

Wow Danny, used to have this Bob Lind 45. Fine folk-rock-pop.
Avatar 10:14pm TDK60:

The Blues Project covered it on their 2nd LP.
Avatar 10:14pm Little Danny:

Great as a 45. Not all of Lind's work measure up, but I find that track sublime
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14pm chresti:

alice cooper is all cosmic now?
Avatar 10:15pm Flash Strap:

agreed, LD
Avatar 10:16pm Flash Strap:

hell yes on this Frydman
Avatar 10:20pm still b/p:

I told my friend that Donovan, who I'd mentioned here in connection to Alice, would likely be the more cosmically charged/inclined of the two, so he should keep his eyes peeled for him there on the NY sidewalks.
Avatar 10:24pm TDK60:

Rumor wafts over the Sea that Donovan now lives in Eire; is he visiting NYC?
Avatar 10:26pm still b/p:

No, no...just goofing on the chances of the cosmos upping the ante of coincidence and manifestation.
Avatar 10:33pm TDK60:

I imagine too the possibility of your pal, still b/p, cosmically eye-peeling there ... on the sidewalk.
Avatar 10:36pm Flash Strap:

exactly how i feel about Blaine, yeah
Avatar 10:41pm Little Danny:

It's funny how stiff Blaine's drumming sounds on those LPs
Avatar 11:02pm Flash Strap:

Sorry I had to be away from keyboard, making pickles, gotta go again in a sec

but yeah, it really is. my mind wanders as i listen to Psychedelic Percussion

killer show tonight btw
Avatar 11:03pm Little Danny:

Avatar 11:10pm Little Danny:

@ngh: question for ages/sages my friend
Avatar 11:11pm northguineahills:

Jelly, Evan, I haven't had time to pickle anything. I'm still in and out. Meds make me loopy lately at night.
Avatar 11:12pm northguineahills:

(Brain makes me loppy during the day....)
Avatar 11:12pm northguineahills:

err... loopy (see!)
Avatar 11:15pm Little Danny:

So this whole time it's been the meds speaking?! Not the puns??

Jelly, eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18pm melinda:

Avatar 11:38pm northguineahills:

This is the first time since I was 20 I've been on prescription meds, so, my body has no idea what's happening.
Avatar 11:39pm coelacanth∅:

- just spend almost 1-1/2 hour washing all eatware & cookware my now Thankfully former housemates either knowingly left dirty or pretended to clean. i'm not quite done, but there's no more room for the drying stuff.
very happy they're gone.
Avatar 11:42pm coelacanth∅:

my script meds are just high doses of ibuprofen and hydrocodon (which i almost never use.) my non-rx drugs are alcohol, herb & chocolate.
  11:45pm mauri:

what a great show Danny.
Avatar 11:45pm coelacanth∅:

(that is, the hydrocodon i almost never use. i take the ibuprofen every day)
...why you on meds, ngh? (i'd say "if you don't mind me asking", but you brought it up!)
Avatar 11:46pm Little Danny:

Happy you lasted, Coel! Sounds like you're primed to relax at this point
Avatar 11:46pm Little Danny:

Avatar 11:55pm Little Danny:

@doc: "Clifford Brown's gray tube"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56pm chresti:

grey tubes?
Avatar 11:57pm coelacanth∅:

i don't drink beer that often but lately i've been so stressed out that i as often as not have had a beer before bed. (as well as a very tiny hit of herb) helped me to sleep more than i would've imagined.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57pm doctorjazz:

Oh, I hand to be more careful with phone posting ,it "fixes" what I say .It s supposed to read Clifford Brown's greatest tunes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00am chresti:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01am chresti:
