Avatar 6:24am CarolCrow:

Good morning, Dave! How's the weather in VT this morning?
Avatar 6:24am northguineahills:

This Stone is frustrating. I love the content enough to clicky-star it, but there is something about nascent digital timbres.....
Avatar 6:27am CarolCrow:

I hear you, ngh! You'll like the next one, I think!
  6:38am David in London:

Psycho Killer soundtrack to my morning toast and marmalade. Nice.
Avatar 6:39am TDK60:

Morning. Was at a folk sing-along recently and someone pulled out Psycho Killer! We all sang the chorus.
Avatar 6:40am northguineahills:

You prove yourself correct, Carol!
Avatar 6:42am CarolCrow:

Thanks for being here, David in London:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42am Dave in Vermont:

Avatar 6:42am CarolCrow:

@TDK60: That sounds like fun!! :)
Avatar 6:46am northguineahills:

dayum, Dave I love Suspiria. and the sndtrk stands on its own (obviously)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am Dave in Vermont:

Were The Goblins just a thing for that movie or were they a real group doing creepy music back then?
Avatar 6:53am northguineahills:

It was a an Argento vehicle, but they stay around way after the movie.
Avatar 7:10am Ruth Booth:

Happy Sunday! I love Goblin
  7:10am herb.nyc:

Avatar 7:54am TDK60:

  8:02am herb.nyc:

since the moon(light sonata) is mentioned, anyone see CIELO at film forum? I likely will. (Ooh, giggling is happening. Sorry, I said laughs before.)
  8:06am herb.nyc:

a George Carlin I like to tell others - "if someone asks you 'mind if I smoke?', you say 'no, mind if I fart?' ". Know the f-word joke of his "horse you rode in on"?
  8:10am tw2sheds:

Steve Martin actually...they call me a know it all and my natural response? I KNOW!
Avatar 8:18am CarolCrow:

@tw2sheds: HA! :)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32am Linda Lee:

there is not enough poetry on wfmu. i say this as a 35 year listener.
Avatar 8:33am CarolCrow:

Hey, Ken! Thank you so much for listening:) :) :)
Avatar 8:34am CarolCrow:

Jasper, you are too kind. Glad you like!! :) :)
Avatar 8:35am CarolCrow:

@Linda@8:32: I agree. Check back on some recent archives. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:36am Linda Lee:

i had the feeling .. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37am Linda Lee:

one thing that fmu always had going for it, over most other radio, was spoken word. especially loved the Alan Watts lectures ~ til the estate stepped in & made trouble. if you're picking up the thread i'll be highly pleased! :-)
Avatar 8:41am TDK60:

..that would be poetic, if there were more of it, recorded and live.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41am Linda Lee:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:46am Linda Lee:

gotta love those romantics. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am Ken From Hyde Park:

SMS featured Poe's "The Raven" a few weeks ago. And not The Simpson's version, either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am Linda Lee:

the Simpsons have a version? :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53am Linda Lee:

i remember the moment during sophomore high school year when i had to stop everything & sit listening to what was on the radio ("Gloria" by Patti Smith). this Edward Ka-Spel piece had the same effect! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am Ken From Hyde Park:

Yep, from a Halloween episode; narrated by James Earl Jones. youtu.be...
Avatar 8:54am briania:

Loved the Ka-Spel to Butler transition.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am Linda Lee:

James Earl Jones reciting Poe on the Simpsons. where have i been? :-D :-D
Avatar 8:55am CarolCrow:

Hey briania! Glad you liked:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57am fred:

Thanks Carol! Until next week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00am Linda Lee:
