good morning all,

here for your eyes: https://pointandshooter.tumblr.com
Avatar 12:05am TDK60:

I am here but fading into sleep. still listening..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06am coelacanth∅:

hello rich and squirrely carcassoids
  12:11am rw:

Hey Rich, carcass kids. Fading slowly into wakefulness after feeling sluggish all day.
  12:14am rich:

hello tdk, coel, and rw. nice symmetry there between tdk and rw.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17am Scraps:

  12:17am Jocelyn:

I'm here :)
  12:20am rw:

We like to keep things in balance.
  12:21am Tamar:

Perhaps the phone rings . . .
Avatar 12:23am TDK60:

  12:25am rich:

no it doesn't nor does it seem to flash
Avatar 12:44am Franco Twinkie:

Hi Rich! Welcome to September. Have you got all your new school supplies hidden from those thieving commodities brokers who live under your house?
  12:51am rw:

The Carcass is rocking.
  12:51am rich:

pencils and notebooks are safe. though, to be honest, i am worried about the erasers.
  12:51am Jocelyn:

Can't believe it's September already. The year went by fast.
  12:52am rw:

Jocelyn, it's only September! We've still got a third left!
  12:55am Jocelyn:

It's like I blinked and the year is almost over.
  12:57am rich:

don't blink twice
  12:59am rw:

it's alright
Avatar 1:00am grtyvr:

now this is a jam....
  1:00am Jocelyn:

Avatar 1:01am grtyvr:

that was SOOOOO good.
  1:04am rw:

How did Palberta manage to sound so much like Captain Beefheart?
Avatar 1:05am Franco Twinkie:

Rich, protect the erasers! I was punished in the eight grade for teasing a girl in art class who absent mindedly put a pink eraser in her mouth.
  1:11am RJB_Headphone Tourist:

What was the glorious sound leading into the break?
  1:13am rich:

cave or the loop of the popeye-like voice?
  1:15am RJB_Headphone Tourist:

The loop!
  1:18am rich:

the loop is something on the running in place lp of locked grooves we did several years ago for a marathon premium
  1:18am RJB_Headphone Tourist:

Driving along the Mexico border with you as my only traveling companion. Thank you
  1:20am rich:

glad to be along for the ride
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21am coelacanth∅:

yes that record that shown in the prize warehouse to be available last year but when it came time to ship i got a call from Joe saying it was gone. What a tease! (& a bummer)
  1:21am Jocelyn:

I hope you're staying safe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am coelacanth∅:

- and eating finger limes, to prevent scurvy
  1:25am RJB_Headphone Tourist:

Great loop. Thanks for info! Probably be safer on other side of fence, but that is another story. Bummed there are no Los left!
  1:25am RJB_Headphone Tourist:

  1:27am Jocelyn:

I wonder how many finger limes one would have to consume to prevent scurvy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28am Ken From Hyde Park:

@Jocelyn - I would estimate about a handful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29am coelacanth∅:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31am coelacanth∅:

Devon Welsh sure has a beautiful voice...and very John Cale-ish
  1:31am Jocelyn:

  1:31am RJB_Headphone Tourist:

Ken, I would think more. Rich, Thanks for the codeine!!!
  1:33am Jocelyn:

I love this song
Avatar 1:33am Billy Jam:

hey Rich -just tuned in over here in Oakland Cali three hours earlier - perfect soundtrack for the evening - thanks
  1:34am Jocelyn:

No I think Ken is correct. We were told they had more vitamin C than an orange so maybe a handful is sufficient.
  1:34am Jocelyn:

Oh the strange things to ponder in the middle of the night!
  1:37am old ERIC thee hat:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37am coelacanth∅:

one for each finger, so you can maintain control of the steering wheel. you might want to consume some foot lemons also.
  1:38am Jocelyn:

Do foot lemons exist?
Avatar 1:39am Franco Twinkie:

...and sour juice pretzels.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40am Ken From Hyde Park:

We used to call those little sucker candies Lemon Toes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40am coelacanth∅:

...and a cool water sandwich
  1:44am Jocelyn:

As a kid I loved chocolate lime candies
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44am coelacanth∅:

Jocelyn, i think probably not, but who knows? limes didn't exist a thousand or 2 years ago...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:45am coelacanth∅:

(and i'd bet finger limes are an even more recent invention, no?)
Avatar 1:46am Franco Twinkie:

Yes, Coel. A cool water sandwich. Why? Because it is still August in Los Angeles. I'll probably feel different in the morning. Good night.
  1:46am RJB_Headphone Tourist:

I think they should be radio station swag.
  1:48am Jocelyn:

Not sure about the history of finger limes. But they're delicious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48am coelacanth∅:

actually a very shallow dive indicates finger limes probably existing long before limes. (just -not being called "finger limes" yet)

gnight Franco
  1:49am rw:

Chocolate lime candies... I'm having trouble imagining that but in my mind it's also delicious. I'm not sure I've ever had a finger lime.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49am coelacanth∅:

(shallow internet dive, that is)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51am coelacanth∅:

now i have to find and try finger limes. (along with vietnamese iced coffee)
  1:51am Jocelyn:

Goodnight Franco
  1:52am Jocelyn:

Vietnamese iced coffee is divine
  1:52am Jocelyn:

A bit pricey at stands though so I buy the tea bags and make my own
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54am coelacanth∅:

tomorrow i try vietnamese coffee. finger limes, probably not. i've never seen them.
  1:55am Jocelyn:

You'll love the tea!
  1:57am rw:

coel, you've never had vietnamese iced coffee?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58am coelacanth∅:

i've got to try it at a restaurant first so i know what it's supposed to be like.
  2:01am rw:

It's best on a hot day. And it's tough to wait that long but you should let the ice melt a bit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01am coelacanth∅:

oh man here we go again!
rw a few days ago on these comment boards (i think bodega pop live) i got this from at least 3-4 people! (Franco being one) i said i'd try it on friday when i got back home from out of state but i totally forgot about it today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03am coelacanth∅:

...i'm actually really stoked to try it; and maybe some vietnamese food, if they have anything tempting with no meat.
  2:08am Jocelyn:

A lot of yummy Vietnamese food! If you ask they'll make it meatless for you.
  2:11am Jocelyn:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12am Ken From Hyde Park:

Saigon Cafe near me mentions Café Sưả Đá (Strong Dripped Coffee with Sweetened Condensed Milk over Ice)
www.saigoncafepok.com... Yay, something to try tomorrow!
  2:14am Jocelyn:

Ken, I've had that! It's divine! Sweetened condensed milk is amazing in both coffee and tea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14am coelacanth∅:

cool. if it's near you it's not too far from me; just across the river.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16am coelacanth∅:

there is a place in new paltz now. i'm just not so sure about it. it looks like a diner and there are rarely cars in their lot.
- i'll give it a shot though.
  2:17am rw:

I like the vermicelli noodle dishes. They usually come with a container of dressing. Pour that over the whole thing (usually some sort of meat, bean sprouts, shredded carrots, etc.) and mix it together.
  2:23am Jocelyn:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24am coelacanth∅:

i'm getting hungry again
  2:26am Jocelyn:

Me too!
Avatar 2:29am grtyvr:

evan parker!

Sooo good....
  2:30am rw:

And in my opinion the iced tea is more of an acquired taste. I'd start with the coffee.
  2:30am rw:

grtyvr, I agree!
  2:34am rw:

Maybe I'm thinking of Thai iced tea. In any case, get the coffee!
Avatar 2:35am grtyvr:

and it keeps coming! wild set....
Avatar 2:35am grtyvr:

hey rw :)
Avatar 2:36am grtyvr:

hey everyone!
glad to be here with you
Avatar 2:38am grtyvr:

hey rw. what you just described was the B5 at my favorite lunch place! Beef on vermicelli with a spring roll. mmmm now I am hungry

  2:53am rw:
