hi Sam and stable listeners
Avatar 9:05pm coelacanth∅:

1000-1500 horses...that's a lot of horsepower
Avatar 9:08pm coelacanth∅:

my year is c.2035. i'm laying the groundwork. i'm gonna be HUGE then!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm Sam Segal:

Wow, I love it, @Coel! Calling your shot like the Great Bambino! Please don't forget us when you finally arrive.
Avatar 9:16pm coelacanth∅:

sorry sam. i'll be dead. i'll see what i can do but i may not have all my faculties when i'm dead.
Avatar 9:19pm coelacanth∅:

oh, and that's (<) a really cool picture
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm Sam Segal:

Thanks! The caption on it reads: "Farm house at dusk. Rain clouds darken the sky, May 1973." Photographer is Charles O'Rear.
Avatar 9:32pm coelacanth∅:

i wonder if that dot in the sky is a blemish on the photograph or an et-occupied craft. obviously it's one or the other.
Avatar 9:34pm coelacanth∅:

(et=extra terrestrial...though it does happen to have an "ether-turbo" engine in that baby)
  9:34pm still b/p:

I was in a farm-ish yard today, where young children played on big low apple tree branches while unpenned turkeys, chickens and goats did their things -- peacocks and other birds were inside wire nearby. I stood in the shade a good while just...enjoying, and eventually engaging with the kids a bit, one of whom (probably age five) seemed to know all the lyrics to "Everything's Up to Date in Kansas City." It was a lucky summer idyll. Recommend it.
Avatar 9:37pm coelacanth∅:

that sounds like a sort of paradise, sbp. (and it reminds me of "animal farm" by the kinks)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39pm Sam Segal:

Now that's the kind of reverie this comment board was made for, @SBP. Thank you for stopping by!
  9:41pm Dave B.:

Hey hey hey Mayuko! Is this you? You are providing the music at Dive 75
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm melinda:

hi all
Avatar 9:43pm coelacanth∅:

my kind of reverie is only tolerated here.
Dave, hold on i'll get her.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:43pm Sam Segal:

Dave B! This is Sam. Mayuko is on Saturdays, but I welcome you and any Dive 75 patrons.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44pm Sam Segal:

Great to see you, Melinda!
  9:44pm Dave B.:

Right on Sam! Good stuff!
Avatar 9:44pm coelacanth∅:

hi melinda!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44pm melinda:

hi coel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45pm melinda:

looks like Mayuko is on the main stream right now
Avatar 9:49pm coelacanth∅:

yeah melinda. i'm switching back and forth - although i've been here pretty much the whole time so far.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:52pm Sam Segal:

Ah, it pains me to compete with, Mayuko!
Avatar 9:57pm coelacanth∅:

yeah you're both on the same team. i get to hear your show probably almost 2X to every 1X i catch Mayuko's, so please forgive me if i go for a while. but i ain't leaving this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm Sam Segal:

Entirely understable, Coel.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm Uncle Michael:

This is not a competition. Please, no wagering.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03pm Sam Segal:

My un-competitive uncle, Michael! Welcome!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:03pm Uncle Michael:

Thank you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm melinda:

I am enjoying this pianoing
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm Uncle Michael:

Wayne Marsh was just beginning to see the light.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm Uncle Michael:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12pm Sam Segal:

Warne Marsh's late '60s tone really is a sound for the ear to behold
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm Uncle Michael:

I mean that Commentary is pretty much an interpretation of the standard "I'm Beginning to see the Light.
  10:16pm Carmichael:

I am neither Melinda nor Mayuko. But I am listening and, in this heat, glistening.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17pm Sam Segal:

Shine on, Carmichael. Hello!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22pm melinda:

Carmichael we are all one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23pm Uncle Michael:

This trio is pretty great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:29pm Sam Segal:

Masada String Trio is easily one of my favorite Zorn projects.
  10:30pm Carmichael:

Sounds like an old Star Trek episode, Melinda. Are you one???
Avatar 10:31pm coelacanth∅:

taking an occasional glance at Mayuko's comment board, and the Dave Hill show energy there, it seems to be an extension of my sister's shithead husband who's stumbling around, doing ridiculous things.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36pm Uncle Michael:

The air is dead. Long live the air.
Avatar 10:37pm coelacanth∅:

dead air within a track is not dead, it's only sleeping.
Avatar 10:38pm coelacanth∅:

...or comatose...or in deep meditation...
  10:40pm still b/p:

Dead air...like dark matter. Seemingly empty, but SOMETHING's there, exerting influence, affecting, affecting.
Avatar 10:41pm coelacanth∅:

i don't believe in nothin'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45pm melinda:

Judee, yay
  10:46pm still b/p:

(My last comment should be read aloud in something like the voice of elderly John Huston.)
  10:47pm Carmichael:

Been watching the tankers laying retardant on the nearby fires. The setting sun is bright orange.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:51pm 23 Wolves:

Diggin' it.
  10:53pm Santos L Halper:

Behind, love that judee sill
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55pm Sam Segal:

23 Wolves and Santos L Halper, thank you both for dropping by and lending me your ears for a spell.
Avatar 11:03pm northguineahills:

Been here for about a half hour, good fun!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05pm Sam Segal:

Ah, glad you made it, NGH. Got some classic UK Jungle coming up shortly.
  11:07pm still b/p:

Saw a reporter doing his standup what seemed like 75 feet, maybe, from house behind him getting retardant dropped on it from chopper. Didn't seem the smartest safest idea as it fell near him and nearly dusted him with impact spread.
Avatar 11:09pm coelacanth∅:

might've helped ratings though
  11:11pm still b/p:

Need a showboat suppressant.
Avatar 11:14pm coelacanth∅:

(dropped from a helicopter?)
Avatar 11:17pm northguineahills:

Classic UK JUNGLE!!! (a fave of min)
Avatar 11:19pm northguineahills:

I might be getting carried away w/ these ghost peppers. I'm thinking of making ghost pepper brownies or fudge next weekend....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20pm JustTryingToBeAGoodGuy:

Al Pacino Needs Our Help.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21pm Sam Segal:

Oh, no...what can we do for him, Good Guy?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:22pm JustTryingToBeAGoodGuy:

We must pray and tell him he is not real.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29pm Sam Segal:

Oh, my...that bad, huh? I always liked Pacino, but somehow I'm not surprised to hear this from you, Good Guy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31pm JustTryingToBeAGoodGuy:

Could be gravel rash suffering but it could be something even more serious.
Avatar 11:44pm northguineahills:

Didn't wash my hands after cutting ghost peppers before touching my eyes, starting to get used to it....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50pm Sam Segal:

Oh god that sounds ROUGH, ngh!! You alright?
Avatar 11:54pm northguineahills:

Yeah, It's been happening since I started harvesting them, and I'm building a tolerance. Burns still right now, but tolerable. (but I love the flavor in small doses)
Avatar 11:58pm northguineahills:

Thanks Sam, have a good night!
Avatar 11:59pm coelacanth∅:

Great program Sam Thanks!
have a good night all, at the very least.
