Fabio. all. happy Thursday!
Avatar 3:05pm βrian:

Well, this is nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm Ike:

@Michael 98145 (re: Olivia comment), a robot voice counting? On a commercial station? Sounds like "stunting" (a format-change stunt to get free publicity and attention). Did it really go out of business and shut down, or did it just change format?
Avatar 3:06pm βrian:

C'est la vie en volvo rose !
Avatar 3:14pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

peace be witchawl.
Avatar 3:14pm V Priceless:

Avatar 3:15pm geezerette:

Veep!
Avatar 3:16pm βrian:

Is that a hard 'g' or a soft 'g', by the way?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm Stanley:

Ola-la. Was is das?
Avatar 3:19pm geezerette:

Hard. Unless you're religiously inclined. :)
Avatar 3:19pm geezerette:

Dew sell dorf.

Strength Through Failure, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Giant Man Enterprises, under Pigeon Sound Industries, Incorporated.
Avatar 3:21pm βrian:

I was thinking more like "a mild expression of surprise." As in, "Aw geez, mom!"
Avatar 3:21pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

VEEPEE.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm Guido from Cologne:

Hahaha, this track is calldd 'Fatty Liver'.
Music for alcoholics or music by alcoholics?
Avatar 3:22pm βrian:

As grandma used to say, Better to be callipygian than a clay pigeon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Guido from Cologne:

.. it's the title of the slbum, not of thd teavk ... i was mistaken.
Avatar 3:23pm coelacanth∅:

hello Fabio and Fabious Failures
Avatar 3:23pm V Priceless:

whatever it is, I's a-diggin!
Avatar 3:24pm V Priceless:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm The Oscar:

Hiya folks! This is real nice.
Avatar 3:30pm geezerette:

I'm just a duck; I don't belong here.
Avatar 3:31pm coelacanth∅:

don't be daffy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm Michael 98145:

@Ike (3:06) i believe you are correct -- the station kept the frequency but changed format...
Avatar 3:33pm geezerette:

Coel, I'm so ashamed to be a donald.
Avatar 3:41pm geezerette:

Fabio, you often play what I think of as northern lights / ice cream headache music, which I love,(!). This qualifies. :)
Avatar 3:43pm geezerette:

Carl Stone! Well no wonder!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Carmichael:

Pinhas! Heya Fabs and Giant People.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm The Oscar:

I just this moment realized I've been using Carl Stone and Carl Douglas's names interchangeably. Thank god I rarely have to talk about either out loud!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Ike:

@M98145, that's one of the more unusual cases of "stunting" I've ever heard of, then. Interesting! I think there might've been a WFMU Beware of the Blog post about stunting once....
Avatar 3:46pm βrian:

I thought I recognized Woo Lae Oak. Nice to hear.
Avatar 3:50pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

EGAD, that Gate album is perfection. Should dig it out again ASAP if not sooner
Avatar 3:50pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

this piece in particular
Avatar 3:51pm fred:

@geezerette: I wish you and that Donald got closer. Take one for the team? Can it get worse?
Avatar 3:53pm Chris from DC:

Preclickied Gate
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm common:

nice
Avatar 3:54pm geezerette:

An actual cartoon could not screw up more than that
"fake" one, Fred. So damn depressing.
Avatar 3:55pm fred:

@RTD: I once asked Michael Morley if he would re-release the Lavender head. He flatly said no, and he looked annoyed by the question, so I think it's not happening
Avatar 3:56pm geezerette:

This is really good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm Guido from Cologne:

The skip eorked fine actually :-D
Avatar 3:58pm geezerette:

It's like a dance.
Avatar 3:58pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

@Fred: a true shame, that. It's strong, smooth, spacious, and charming in equal measure. Also, as I'm just now discovering, goes well with skips. Bonus feature.
Avatar 4:01pm geezerette:

Wow, this Dirty Beaches!
  4:01pm Rodney:

This Dirty Beaches track sounds exactly like Les Rallizes Denudes.
Avatar 4:01pm Chris from DC:

Rodney, I swear I was about to comment that.
Avatar 4:03pm fred:

Is "Les Rallizes Denudes" an anagram of something?

24 Track Loop:
How long was the original mixing-session tape they made all those edits from?
Avatar 4:13pm johnforz:

so excited for them Monday at Pioneer Works
Avatar 4:15pm johnforz:

had a nice seamless skip going there for a few
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm Guido from Cologne:

Not enough pressure on the stylus it seems
  4:17pm Pete&Repeat:

DECEIT!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22pm Carmichael:

Put a penny on the needle.
Avatar 4:23pm MacGuffin:

This one is making me feel all agitated and angst-y. Is that the point?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm Guido from Cologne:

It is a lenthy dub session based on a 24 track tape loop. One edit of this made it to the yellow-blue debut, another made it to the 1981 Recommended Records Sampler. This is another edit i haven't heart yet.
Avatar 4:30pm Cheri Pi:

This is my favorite NWW!
Avatar 4:33pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Spiral Insana definitely among the favorite nurses, here. The recent re-press with the reflective silver cover is nuts.
Avatar 4:33pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

PAH.
Avatar 4:34pm Cheri Pi:

PAPPA!
Avatar 4:34pm Chris from DC:

Yeah, along with Soliloquy, same.
Avatar 4:35pm fred:

I'll readily admit to being partial to spirals. ATdK forever!
Avatar 4:40pm V Priceless:

  4:41pm three dots:

Hi, what is the Bacharach-like bed music? Thanks.
Avatar 4:41pm V Priceless:

Elsewhere is a really cool venue
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:41pm Old Eric the Hat:

Christ! I woulda called in for those this heat tickets...if I had a phone. and didn't live in GA at the present.
Avatar 4:42pm geezerette:

Sold Out Show would be a good band name.

Avatar 5:23pm geezerette:

Really dig it!
