Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm Passaic River Blues:

For anyone in the Bricks this evening, the Newark Museum is showing the Lee Morgan documentary "I Called Morgan" at 7:00 p.m.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm Passaic River Blues:

Correction: "I Called Him Morgan".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm Devin B.:

I'm no expert on Morgan, but I thought the doc was great.
Avatar 3:06pm AnAnonymousParty:

There is no Rock n Roll at 1 PM.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm Passaic River Blues:

@Devin: it looks fascinating.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm Devin B.:

Totally. Also pretty sad. He died way too young.
Avatar 3:15pm AnAnonymousParty:

@ Irwin, that's three gold stars in a row!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm The Oscar:

Been busy working, but that cover just blew my mind.
  3:23pm Laura L:

Senior moment? No phone number to call for info. Well, the party's over anyway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Alison Porchnik:

Hey Irwin that show was on my birthday - why didn't you take me?
Avatar 3:25pm geezerette:

Diggin' the Swami!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm The Oscar:

@Anonymous Pretty sure there's no rock 'n' roll in Sturbridge, either.
Avatar 3:28pm AnAnonymousParty:

"Sturbridge Senior Center."
"Yes' I'm calling for info about the Rock N Roll on the 28th?"
"Um, yeah, we're going to try it again when more of our residents are up and about and hope we don't have any incidents like last time."
"So, a lot of residents complained that the last band wasn't loud enough and it turned into quite a mess after the fight broke out."
"Well the band didn't know how to play Freebird, which angered most of the attendees and then some of them began beating the band members with their canes. It took us a while to get things under control, you'd be surprised how difficult it is to untangle a bunch of wheelchairs and walkers and figure out whose teeth and glasses are who's."
"Oh, wow."
"Yeah, so we got this group called Spinal Tap this time ..."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm rrg:

I'm so gullible. I looked on Bookfinder and there is no such book. You're such a kidder.
  3:29pm YP:

lamma low?
  3:31pm Woo:

I am having a nice day. Thanks.
  3:44pm jan:

Checking in from Yerevan. You're a stellar person, Irwin.
Avatar 4:02pm Jeff Moore:

We do love us some Monica.

Well chosen, Uncle Irwin.
Avatar 4:03pm AnAnonymousParty:

If you'd just said you ditched your show to go see Snoop you'd've saved us all a bunch of time ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm Dominick:

OK then
Avatar 4:15pm Monica:

thx so much for the plug, irwin. i look forward to chasing away your paying customers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm Irwin:

We draw in the misfits and malcontents.
Avatar 4:29pm laughingacademy:

Oh, this is a lovely cover!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:37pm ɛɨk:

Wow, Irwin played some real country music. Even though it was from the 80s, it wasn't overproduced. The apocalypse must be imminent.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39pm Ken From Hyde Park:

The English? Beat!
Avatar 4:41pm AnAnonymousParty:

I guess Jim Beam and Jack Daniels are 'celebrity boozes, and Wild Turkey isn't?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:41pm Carmichael:

Sounds like Mark Knopfler.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44pm Carmichael:

New Helvetia was the original name for Sacramento.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45pm Alison Porchnik:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm Carmichael:

Are you the person from Woodland or Winters, Alison? I just had a meal at the Buckhorn last weekend.
  4:59pm Dennis Diken:

Spanky & Our Gang made great LPs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm Rich in Washington:

goes to show you what I know about Spanky & Our Gang, where high concept recordings go.
This sort of reminds me of the National Lampoon take on Hi-Fi demonstration records.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00pm Alison Porchnik:

@Carmichael - I grew up mostly in Davis, but my mom lives in Winters so that's where I go now when I go "home"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm Michael 98145:

oh, no. stay brave, Irwin.
  5:06pm McGreivey:

What could will possibly probably go wrong right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm Irwin:

We can guarantee this: a spectacular sonic shitshow!
  5:08pm Jim from Green:

Re you and Ken going to be on the left or the right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm Michael 98145:

in Binaural Audio ®
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:09pm rrg:

I know I'm just being a spoilsport, but I have the technology to deal with this SSD experiment. So do we all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10pm Irwin:

Ken and I will be on the left OR the right. One of us will be politically misaligned.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm Alison Porchnik:

Will the shows be archived separately? Or will the signal be split somehow when it's converted for playback? Ask Ken!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Irwin:

Good Q. This was all plopped in my lap 15 minutes ago, so I have no answers, only more questions (for Ken, whose idea this was).
Avatar 5:13pm Roberto:

Oh gawd I don't think I can take a song about a lost cat :(
Avatar 5:14pm Roberto:

Oh yay they found the kitty!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20pm Michael 98145:

SM Ken is always innovating
Avatar 5:21pm Fredericks:

I said to myself: "this sounds like Lucinda singing over some nice jazz sax." And it was! Thanks Irwin>
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21pm Irwin:

New album, Fredrix.
Avatar 5:33pm Listening Out There:

The Moondog Program Finally...
  5:42pm G:

So nice to see the younguns have decided they discovered complexity and eclecticism, and can condescendingly claim ownership. Irwin's been doing it for decades, and so have lots of people in their various ways and fields.

So sweet to see them posturing their intellectual and moral superiority, when you can discern definitively after five minutes of them talking that they have precisely zero solid claim to either. :-)

OK, that completes our Get Off My Lawn moment for the day. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm Michael 98145:

Nina time. Thanks again, Irwin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm queems:

Avatar 5:58pm Fredericks:

Well, was it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm chris:

I have been informed by the artist that Isla Craig's named is pronounced EYE-la, not EASE-la. I stand corrected.
