Listener comments!

Avatar 2:59pm βrian:

That kid looks like he could play banjo really really well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:02pm Carmichael:

What? Him worry?!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm Alison Porchnik:

Young Todd-o-Phonic Todd
Avatar 3:04pm Wild Neil||Peace All:

Hey all. I got my chainsaw fixed! Apparently my late father's chainsaw was a pro model now worth $700 or so! I must cut out a stump (done that) and cut down a tree (first time!).
The kid looks a bit like Mickey Rooney.
  3:05pm Dean:

I met Mickey Rooney at (now razed) Hollywood Park.
  3:06pm berbo:

Bunnies are cute, I'll grant you that.
Avatar 3:06pm βrian:

Adverbially Lee!
Avatar 3:07pm Listening Out There:

This is cheering me up immensely...
Avatar 3:07pm βrian:

I'm pretty sure that kid is 24, at least.
  3:07pm berbo:

But last night there were 4 (!) youg'uns running around the yard. And the garden. And eating up the chili plants!
Avatar 3:08pm John McCabe:

Hi everybody from Las Vegas, today I'm board to death editing fetish porn so I'm tuning in. Hope Irwin can keep me entertained!
Avatar 3:10pm βrian:

You mean "Fattoush porn," right?
  3:17pm Dean:

That's the famous "Boy, Bunny, and Predator Seagull," by Roy A. Bretemps, that prompted Cezanne to give up painting.
Avatar 3:19pm Irwin:

Yes, it is.
Avatar 3:21pm geezerette:

Poor little misaligned kid!
Avatar 3:22pm geezerette:

Brave of him to be so cheerful.
Avatar 3:23pm Listening Out There:

My hair got bigger just listening to Pink Flag...
  3:23pm Dean:

I had to give a brief public speech yesterday afternoon to a group of, oh, about fifty. Pretty sure that was the look on my face, too.
  3:26pm kenhi:

Irwin, you are a treasure. Been listening to you since Hour of the Duck (70's?). You're wonderful.
Avatar 3:28pm Irwin:

Thank you, kenhi. Someday I will be buried treasure.
Avatar 3:35pm John McCabe:

perfect music for the sim city war I'm in right now
  3:38pm listener monica:

hi irwin! it has been a very long time since i have had the luxury of hearing your show.
  3:40pm listener monica:

ps i am a big fan of steppenwolf.
Avatar 3:42pm Irwin:

Welcome back to my claustrophobic radio world, monica.
Avatar 3:43pm βrian:

I *thought* I felt the walls closing in.
  3:48pm sam pocker:

FOW so great thanks for playing them!
Avatar 3:53pm Lixiviated Life:

I'd say it's a rather "Presidential" shade of Orange
Avatar 3:54pm βrian:

No clickies for me. Makes me feel like those dunking bird things.
  3:54pm berbo:

I blame Bitcoin.
Avatar 3:56pm Wild Neil||Peace All:

Waterfall Person reminds me of Flying Lizards in that there is odd music with weird vocals.
Avatar 3:57pm Irwin:

Shannon still has only one clicky-star. Shameful.
  3:57pm DL in LA:

If I heart a song in the WFMU mobile app, does it become a clicky star?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm Kat in Chicago:

Clicky-starred for the line about the bugs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm Devin B.:

Maybe everyone had a meeting for five minutes exactly when Shannon Shaw was on and you just need to play it again?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm adampsyche:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm Kat in Chicago:

@DL not sure? I checked one of mine a while back and it didn't update to a clicky star, but I didn't have the latest version of the app or iOS at the time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm Alison Porchnik:

I clicky-starred this one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm Kat in Chicago:

I'm not supposed to use my phone at my desk at work, or I'd check it now.
  4:21pm Laura L:

If I avatar'd or clicky-starred, I'd have c-s'd the Wickham.
Avatar 4:23pm Lixiviated Life:

Sounds to me like you might actually be having Pigeon issues.
  4:24pm brainiac:

It's always something, my little Rosanne Rosannadana
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:52pm Lizardner Dave:

I might finally have to get to Monty Hall.
  4:52pm Marc15:

I remember Kenny G., I used to always listen to his show
  5:09pm scott:

I loved the soprano sax before KG blew it.
  5:12pm katharsis:

Awww i just never know what’s gonna be playing when I tune in. Sweet
  5:16pm scott:

Isn't this too early, certainly too late for Christmas music.
  5:16pm brainiac:

I once asked Irwin about playing some Christmas music. Hoo-boy, did I get an earful. 8^}
  5:18pm brainiac:

Actually, he just said he loathed it. But there are always exceptions to every rule.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23pm Michael 98145:

let's all sing along
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm karlward:

Is this a real emergency alert or is someone going to play some Eagles?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm Mark Hurst:

Sounded good to me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm Parq:

Yeah, I can hear Crimson in this, but also Sonny Sharrock.
Avatar 5:30pm Irwin:

And by "King Crimson tribute band," I don't mean that in a negative way!
Avatar 5:30pm Irwin:

Yep, agree about the Sharrock influence.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm Michael 98145:

okay, liking this
  5:47pm Santos L Halper:

Thanks for the Tuna et al Irwin. Been enjoying on our drive from GA to NJ
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm Parq:

Aw boy, "Water Song" *so* takes me back to the mid 70s. Not always a pleasant experience, but to hear this number again is always a pleasure.
  5:49pm Laura L:

Nice show today, thanks, Irwin. Joni Mitchell, even--I remember when Kenny G played a Joni Mitchell album in its entirety on his show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm Parq:

Ohh, nice seg, too.
  5:50pm Baron Metricpressure:

Wow! I actually left that MES book in the FMU stacks back in March. Had forgotten about it. So glad it ended up in Irwin's clutches.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm chris:

have been enjoying the show, Irwin. thanks! looking forward to Michele's fill-in, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm Michael 98145:

Thank you again, Irwin
Avatar 5:56pm herb.nyc:

(as this is a piano tune, i once saw Tift Merritt do a free show at the apple store, soho, nyc. she prefaced one song by saying "my father taught me to play piano with 3 fingers, so that's all i can do". kinda kute. and spk'ng of Merritt, the Magnetic Fields saturday show at the apollo was really so nice. will need to go to the archives for his 2hr appearance with Irwin here last month.)
