Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24am CarolCrow:

Good morning, TDK60:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35am jkeigh:

For those who think the Frau Blucher thing was because it meant glue, this is an interesting read: www.snopes.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37am CarolCrow:

Thanks for the great info, jkeigh:)
Avatar 6:46am TDK60:

An online English-to-German translation gives me 'glue' in German as 'klebstoff.' Really? hmmm...
Avatar 6:51am Sem:

@jkeigh: late returning your wish for a peaceful Sunday, just finished the morning tour of the garden, where the weeds are flourishing, but I have a bowl full of strawbrries into the bargain. All is right w/ the world at present. Hope your world is likewise.
  6:52am upstate sean:

You go, Carol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54am jkeigh:

@Sem, That sound great. I think that I'm going to take your lead and turn on the app, put on some headphones, step away from my computer and go outside for a bit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18am jkeigh:

@TDK60 and Carol, Actually the snopes link is saying that it in fact doesn't mean glue and in fact was a joke where the horses neighs were supposed to represent that dramatic organ sound in horror movies. I've was told it meant glue by my friends father when I was a teenager and saw the movie with my friend and him at the same time. It seems to be a long-standing rumor that originated in the 70s
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21am CarolCrow:

Hey Sean!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22am CarolCrow:

@jkeigh@7:18: Ah!
Avatar 7:59am fred:

Mary Lattimore! I wish she'd play over here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16am jkeigh:

@ Fred. The Mary Lattimore track was beautiful! BTW Happy Father's day to all the dads out there and Happy Bloomsday to all of the Ulysees fans out there.
Avatar 8:17am fred:

Weird, I don't remember Simon Scott's name, and I go to most shows at Instants Chavirés (unless I'm at a dance show, that is). When was that recorded?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am CarolCrow:

@fred: I believe it was 2009, but I will check!
  8:27am Pete from the Catskills:

What a lovely way to spend a sunday morning. So calm and relaxing.
Avatar 8:27am Sem:

Thank you for this morning's spins, Ms. Crow. Hope to see you and all next in the good ole summertime.
Avatar 8:29am TDK60:

Fine sounds. And..."Be realistic, demand the impossible!" -graffiti, France, 1968
Avatar 8:34am fred:

@Carol: Nevermind, 2009 is far too long ago for me to remember why I missed that show. I saw three shows there last week (including The Dead C), so I was puzzled at having missed that one. Definitely go there if you go nearby, I'll probably be there wearing a WFMU T-shirt
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38am CarolCrow:

Good morning, Pete! Glad you could be with up this morning!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39am CarolCrow:

Have a great day, Sem!
  8:54am herb.nyc:

(eeek, fuzzy FM at 91.1 in lower Manhattan. Thx Trump.) I like the heavy sounds being played now, vs the light sounds of the vg Magnetic Fields show I saw at l'apollo theater last night.
Avatar 9:00am fred:

I looked at my notes, and the reason I missed that Simon Scott show because Pina Bausch died that day and I wasn't in the mood for a concert
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00am jkeigh:

Thanks for another wonderful 3 hours. Hear you in the archives next week!
  9:00am ?:

Happy Sunday, Carol!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04am CarolCrow:

Hey there, herb! The Magnetic Fields must have been wonderful! Glad you enjoyed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:05am CarolCrow:

Thanks, jkeigh:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:05am CarolCrow:

I hope you all have a great Sunday! Thank you for listening:)
